When Jerod Mayo started to bring up race and color during his hiring and press conference, everyone knew it was going to be a disaster for the Patriots this season.
@@Tsepete- So you don’t see the racism in DEI hiring? It’s hiring based on skin color, it’s just that simple. People are finally pushing back against this garbage. And I was excited about Mayo getting hired until the race hustling began. Which was two minutes into his introductory press conference
obviously you don't watch football and knew nothing about this loser. He coached JUST INSIDE LBs for 3-4 years under BB. That was IT. INSIDE LBs...not even ALL LBs, just inside. THAT is how little Belichick thought of him. He wasn't qualified to be DC, never mind the unfathomable leap to HC. He has zero experience and was completely UNQUALIFIED BUT was the right color for woke doddering old fool rub n tug Kraft who jumped on the DEI bandwagon and got burned. Guess he thought the msm might lay off the massage parlor/human trafficking stories if he hired a completely unqualified black guy to coach his team. NOBODY wanted Mayo as HC except Kraft and Mayo because they saw the obvious: not qualified.
A caller last night on WEEI tried to bring up the idea that part of mayo's "qialifications" was being black and the host immediately hung up on him mid-sentence and called him and anyone who even thought about that was a racist. The politics ALWAYS come first in blue land
I think the final straw was when Jahlani Tavai made it known that "fans need to know their place"... which is NOT something the paying fans should hear. It takes direct aim at the revenue flow into what is a business after all is said and done. Those type of quotes do not come from a disciplined locker room, they come from a situation where the inmates are running the asylum. An owner isn't going to take kindly to one of his employees insulting and pissing off the paying customer. Tavai should be cut as well. Deatrich Wise may need a sit-down with ownership as well.
The same bullshit is going on with the hiring of a HC for the Chicago Bears. If you want a good team, experience and leadership is what matters. NOT SKIN COLOR.
I can tell that our city is run by a DEI employee. The electrics been out for over 24 hours. In a snowstorm.😂😂😂😂😂 Everybody's got to get drunk just to stay warm.😂😂😂😂
He bought the team but he was the one going to move to CT because the gov there was agreeing to finance a stadium. Which by the way CT is still New England.
Well, the interview process might be a while. We still have to interview a black man, Hispanic man, Asian man, Jewish man, a gay man, and one woman at least.
Mayo's Woke rant at the first press conference put in on the hot seat with fans from day one. When you yammer on about b.s. instead of focusing on coaching football you give yourself a short leash with regards to fans and the media giving you time to build a team. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I was skeptical Kraft would fire Mayo but glad he did. I want a qualified HC who with Maye will actually attract quality FA's to Foxborough. That plus our 4th can get us some impact players hopefully.
As much as I liked Jerod Mayo, 4 yrs. a linebacker Coach, just doesn't cut it for a HC. Maybe Kraft said "Okay I'll give you a DEI hire and show you how that works out. I loved to way he played and coached. However, his truly racist comments, when he was hired, spelt nothing but disaster, and it came true to form.
Mayo was so bad (how bad was he?) He was so bad that one of the very few wins he got, which was the last one, was the one win the Patriots didn't want. Come on! You already lost 13 games. You couldn't have lost one more so we could get the draft pick and use it to trade for some help? Sheesh.
I just can't wait until you stop calling him GerARRRRD Mayo. And who the hell is Tommy Kiernan? It's CUR-RAN.. love your coverage on this whole thing btw, just breaking your balls
I sure as hell hope he's not available. The Bucs need consistency at the OC position for a while. This making Mayfield learn a new system every season is for the birds. I'm really hoping Coen decides to come back for at least another year or two.
I say this as a minority myself, work hard, do your best to fit in and chances are youll be fine, youll soon understand that nobody cares, youre just another guy, actual racists are incredibly rare, what the media tells you is just to try and scare the crap out of people but its not true, like i said racists do exist but are incredibly rare these days
His massive struggles show that he did not MERIT THE HEAD COACHING DUTIES. Mike Vrabel seems better but his RESUME does not approach Belichick, who won 6 Super Bowls. They need to look at several in a serious professional manner. MERITOCRACY
I think he's mispronouncing this on purpose because he constantly did hate videos based on the color of his skin. Other examples include Angel Reese and Antonio Pierce. Iykyk.
The only way a NUGGA will get a Head coaching job in the NFL from now on is if they are Highly qualified and deserve a Head coaching job like Detroit OC he defiantly deserve a H.C job
Dr. Martin Luther King recommended judging people not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I'd like you to please learn from that, Mr. Mayo.
Being a head coach requires experience in being a head coach at other levels. Did this guy ever be head coach at high school, level, college etc? Your job is to be a hd football coach, not Social BS warrior. You deserve to get fired and A change has started no more dei especially my surgeon and pilot.
How many DEI surgeons and pilots you know? Where are the class lawsuits over DEI surgeons and pilots causing deaths and injuries? I’m sure conservative media would let us know? What of your friends and families? Do they know DEI pilots and surgeons?
I’m curious, if mayo being the first black hc for the pats was played up, are they also going to aattribute his skin color with being so bad he is fired after one year?
@blackandwhitesportstoo.......Harbaugh, until proven otherwise, is a short term hire anywhere he goes. Like you, until he opened his mouth at that press conference, I liked Jerod Mayo, but didn't think he was the guy. If I am hiring an assistant to be HC, I want a guy who has run a side of the ball. You have similar responsibilities but on a smaller scale to the HC. Kind of like a Governor and a President. Vrabel was, to me, the obvious choice to continue "The Patriot Way' with a coach young enough to potentially keep them high on the food chain for another couple of decades. Ben Johnson might be more of a JAX hire based on what he has done with Goff and what they will assume he can do with Lawrence.
What everyone’s forgetting here Mayo had in his contract that everyone signed HE WOULD BE THE NEXT COACH OF THE PATS WHEN BILLY LEAVES. So it wouldn’t matter if he had 1 year 10 year or 100 years all he had to do is say if he’s not hired as the next coach when bill left the pats they violated his contract and could legally sue them for breach of contract. So the Kraft family was too blind to sign the contract without reading it. But I bet they didn’t think Mayo would pull the card out but he did.
@ maybe. I mean if they did give him a buy out would he be required to take it is the big question. This somewhat goes back to the Rooney rule requiring teams to interview a “minority” candidate so to me I think at the time Kraft just said hire the guy we don’t have to do the Rooney rule we obligated his contract and I guess in the end they felt this was a BIG OLD BUST and sacked him faster then the ink drying on his last check. Let’s see if billy hires him for a coaching job in NC or does he just say thanks no thanks.
@@michaelbartow1546 I look at it this way: Belichick had total control of the Pats for 20 years. This may have been an annoyance to Robert Kraft, but was a huge problem for Jonathan Kraft who had campaigned to get Bill fired. Part of the Kraft's plan with Mayo was to regain control of the organization, and to have a convenient fall guy if and when the play on the field went bad. It was a bonus that Mayo proved himself both incompetent and, more importantly, unlikeable to the fanbase. Now they can bring in a better coach but still retain that organizational control.
@@jackbryan4676 interesting thought of yours. Either way this isn’t going to go away anytime soon so let’s see who the pats hire. I mean if they hire mike then you’re going to hear everything all over again.
I have NO idea why that was allowed to be in his contract. It's not like the guy was showing any type of HC acumen, and it's very strange to me that Kraft, with all of his business savvy, would allow that to be put in. It almost makes me wonder if there was some type of outside pressure being put on him. Mayo lost my respect during THAT press conference for sure, but damn, he was a Godawful head coach.
They were wrong for firing him after just one season. It's not his fault they weren't that good. Look at the players he had to coach. Lol. Every coach in the world has had to start with a day 1 on their head coaching journey.
They're already starting? the NFL is racist cause mayo went 1 season & didn't get a chance to coach longer & he was set up to fail blah, blah! CATTURD RULES!!

Definitely a future ESPN “expert”.
he'll be back with Tom e Curran
100%
He got exactly what he earned his walking papers 😂😂😂
After Mayo had his infamous speech on racism at the presser Kraft was thinking this guy is only lasting 1 season
As soon as he brought race into it, right off the bat, at his first press conference, he was finished with me.
A guy that sees himself as. Victim cannot lead men . Cannot be a Head coach .
DEI has DIED
Nope. But ppl are pushing back
Diversity Equity and Inclusion will never die. But the "DEI hire" dog whistle will.
Diversity Equity and Inclusion will never die! There will be more minority coaches as there should be in a league dominated by the minority.
We can only hope so.

That initial press conference was proof-positive Jerod's focus was all wrong.
Kraft has the look on his face. The owners meeting of 2023. Every owner hiring a coach must draw straws and the looser picks a DEI.
He wasn't ready for nap time
I'd like a 2025 New England Patriots, light on the losing and hold the Mayo.

He was the reason I didn’t watch a single Patriots game, and I’ve been a fan since the ‘70s.

Goodell forced this on Kraft
Robert Kraft deserves no credit for anything but hiring Bilichick.
