What if Palpatine was injured during his fight with Mace and/or Yoda and required a suit to live? How would the dynamic between Vader & Palpatine be if they both were limited?
If injured against Mace: he would die against Yoda. They were basically on par. Every limitation put onto Sidious would lead to his death. Against Yoda: This could indeed be interesting.
I like that idea. I think the big difference would be quality. The emperor would want the highest quality equipment for himself, maybe even beskar. If Anakin is still burned, the dynamic might be similar, but if Anakin is unharmed, he'll probably overthrow the emperor before the death star is completed

This is a much more sensible way of Obi-Wan vs. Sidious happening. To me, Sidious tracking down Obi-Wan (rather than the opposite) is the only we could've seen Obi-Wan vs. Sidious happen in ROTS if Yoda had decided to go fight Anakin/Vader. Unless Obi-Wan was significantly stronger at this point, there's no way Yoda in his right mind would send Obi-Wan to fight him. Speaking of Yoda in his right mind, though, I was a little confused at the end. I expected Yoda to reach out with the force and save Anakin from falling in the lava. Interesting idea with him letting Anakin die along with Sidious, but it makes me wonder...why not have Anakin be saved by Yoda while Sidious fell?
I agree. I think yoda should have forced pushed anakin into sidious so he could stab him with his light saber but not over the cliff. He could have went over there to make sure palpatine was killed for good and then pushed him into the lava while letting anakin live with his mistakes so he could do his best to amend them.

Here’s why obi wan would actually put up a good fight against sidious. In the revenge of the sith novel, obi wan and Anakin were actually clowning Dooku until he used the force to toe obi wan out of the duel. Dooku actually feared for his life in the duel. This isn’t an exact quote but Dooku describes that obi wans defenses are nearly impenetrable, saying that he didn’t move his blade 1 millimeter past where it needed to be. In another part he moves his blade in a defensive motion so fast and perfect that Dooku didn’t even attempt to strike him because he knew they would all be blocked. Remember Dooku is one of the best duelists of this era. I think obi wan would put up a good fight until sidious used the force, where kenobi was much weaker
I think palpatine wouldn’t leave the newly christened Darth Vader alone to confront yoda if he knew Vader was in danger. I also think obi wan was really the only Jedi who could defeat Anakin in that moment because he was fully encased in the dark side and obi wan was the only Jedi who truly understood Anakin’s fighting form.

From what I understand while powerful at that moment vader was also very unbalanced in his control of that power as he did not have a full grasp on it yet and was still somewhere between light and dark. I think it was stated in legends or one of the novels that if vader had a few more days to acclimate to the dark side he would have been much more focused and much more powerful. On mustafar he was still between worlds, being able to feel the raw power the dark side promised but unable to fully utilize it. So I'm not sure how he would stack up to say yoda at that exact point in time, as he was stronger in some ways yet weaker in others compared to himself from days prior. But I could be wrong as this is old info and could very well no longer be canon, or just misremembered.
OBI WAN could beat him because anakin wasn't trying to kill him, he wanted to prove himself to him. Anakins force abilities were FAR above obiwans , he didntbuse the force as a weapon in his duel, only to enhance himself in battle against his teacher. Anakin still loved obiwan , anakin never started a single duel with obiwan, obiwan was always the one who ignited his Saber first, ALWAYS! No matter how it looked, anakin wanted obiwan to see as he did , to prove himself and have obiwan trust him.
The _Smart Decision_ would have been for BOTH Yoda and Obiwan to first face off against Sidious, together they could have taken him out of the equation. Once _The Master_ was taken out they could then have taken on Anakin, possibly brought him back out of the darkness, if not they could have eliminated the threat together.
One thing I am pretty sure of , knowing Sidious so far, is that he would have never kept Obi-Wan alive. That's who he is, he would never spare a Jedi, unless he had no choice, even more the likes of Obi-Wan or Yoda. Sparing Padme would make sense a bit in this context though. Other than that, great video, really enjoyed it :)

New subscriber here, I do like these What If's so keep em' coming. I really loved the Qui Gon importance highlighted in a few of these. Yoda vs Anakin would definitely be an interesting fight but I agree with how the endings of each fight happened. I liked Anakin redeeming himself sort of. The talk at the end of not quite Jedi, not quite Sith, is something I tried tackling in fanfiction as it's an interesting concept. Grey Jedi or Grey Sith? Or would they have another name? I honestly think that True Jedi were one's that were able to see, understand the dark side but know it was wrong. That is why only true masters were allowed to study it or aspects of it - Yoda, Windu (fighting style) and Yaddle? Any how I'm rambling, cheers for giving me the star wars bug again haha.

Obi wan kenobi was way better then anybody ever gives him credit for. He killed maul and wiuld of killed sideous. Ge was calculated and fearless and never over confident. He was the perfect jedi.
I never understand why people make mon mothma a chancellor this early, I mean she basically just started her galactic political career. If anything I believe there wouldn't be a chancellor for like a couple of years because they would need to do some galactic reforms going over everything palpatine was part of to see how one individual gained so much power to prevent it. I think these what ifs would end better with stating a new election for chancellor had began and leave at that.

Here's a few free what ifs that I've not seen anyone do.. ANH- Vader senses Leia is his daughter. ANH- Han doesn't shoot first. AOC- Dooku kills Obi-Wan. AOC- Padme is killed during the battle. ESB- Vader comes to the lightside early.
The question basically boils down to what happens if Obi-Wan fights the much more powerful Sidious but manages to gain the high ground? The answer? The paradox breaks the fabric of the entire space-time continuum of the Star Wars universe.
what if Yaddle didn't follow Dooku to the industrial sector? How would Episode II, III, and the Clone Wars been different with Yaddle alive during that period? Would she have survived order 66 if she had been alive during that time, or would her being alive prevent order 66 from even happening?
I agree. Depending on the situation a lightsabre duel can go one way or another. Much like a professional boxing match. One side might have their head in the game more or want it more based on the situation. Also these matches involve the force which is known to intervene on occasions to give an advantage to one side or the other.
Yoda wouldn’t have cared if it was too dangerous for padme. He would have been willing to sacrifice her to get rid of the sith. Him and Obi wan mentioned once that despite their close relationship they would kill each other without hesitation if it meant ending the clone wars even a day early.
and also on what if Anakin Skywalker was trained by the force itself it starts since anakin is born the force guiding him training him and the rest of the original timeline goes as We Know except Anakin is not a Jedi or sith but instead a force wielder he saves his mother he falls in love with Padme and reaches his full potential early quick faster and the rest will we all leave it to you like all the rest of the what ifs okay bro :);)
The seventh video of the campaign: I wonder what you could cook up with this idea - "What if Anakin died in the Battle of Coruscant ?". I was personally interested in seeing what would happen if Anakin crashed into a munitions crate or something, dying in the cockpit of his crashed fighter. How would that affect Obi-Wan and Sidious's plans ? Maybe Dooku could finally convince Obi-Wan to join him, or something else. Perhaps with Dooku arrested, the Jedi order would believe him and stop Palpatine, either killing him or arresting him. For the Jedi, the prophecy of the Chosen One would turn out to have been wrong, but in reality, Anakin not living to join Sidious would've probably been a better fate for the galaxy. Alternatively, Sidious could perhaps still salvage the situation, making his empire stronger. I think it could be another 2 part episode
So many different channels have this question, yours was an interesting take. Making Anakin confront both Yoda and Sidious (with the former in a duel and the latter being up front of the decision making). I really like and enjoy this video. Day 27. What if; Anakin never gave into his feelings for Padme, Aayla Secura was the chosen one and became Darth Talon, Shme Skywalker was adopted by the Tusken Raiders, Boba Fett saved his Tusken family, Count Dooku was a regular count for the CIS, Jabba the Hutt supported the Jedi at the Start of the Clone Wars, and finally, what if Sabine and Ezra fell in love?
What if whilst on his way to mustafar to kill the seperatist council, whilst in hyperspace anakin encounters a hyperspace anomaly/interferance that causes his ship to exit hyperspace, resulting in him crash landing on a planet either in wild space or the unknown regions?

I've always said that in a purely saber to saber fight with no telekinesis or lightning involved, Obi Wan is actually superior to Sidious. Obi Wan's skill with a lightsaber is legendary. Both of them have demonstrated the ability to out-duel the combination of Maul and Savage fighting together. Sidious actually needed to use telekinetic powers to fend off some of their moves, while Obi Wan (when in a balanced mindset) managed to dismantle them with strength and skill alone. In the original novelization of Ep3, Dooku himself also admitted that Obi Wan had surpassed his own skill, forcing Dooku to rely on telekinesis to subdue Obi Wan (I think there's also some implication that Sidious was covertly assisting Dooku there too). The problem with an Obi Wan vs Sidious duel is that like Dooku, Sidious isn't going to ignore his telekinesis/lightning forever. At some point, sooner or later he's going to start throwing out those powers. If Obi Wan keeps a grip on his saber, he could conceivably use it to block the lightning (for a time). But he's not powerful enough to do anything against Sidious ragdolling him. He could even avoid a duel altogether if he starts the conflict with those powers. Sidious only even uses a lightsaber as a way to mock the jedi, he doesn't even like using one. Your scenario presented in this video is plausible though, Obi Wan could hold his own as long as Sidious just treats the fight as a lightsaber duel.

Based on my understanding of star wars the sith Lords are notorious for playing with their food. That is to say they toy with their opponents to show their dominance over them and sometimes it bites them in the arse. That's why the jedi teach patients to their younglings and padawans as a counter to the sith's arrogance. So sidious underestimating obi-wan's lightsaber skills is just par for the course for a sith lord. Maul and savage vs sidious obi wan lasts a little longer than they did and anakin seeing how he beat dooku I’d say he’d have Atleast a 50-50 chance of winning with his powers being boosted by the dark side I thought sidious would kill obi wan and padmè saying that yoda did it getting rid of a Anakins attachments to the light other than Ashoka but in that scenario I thought anakin would retreat knowing he couldn’t defeat yoda and get away like dooku did
I honestly think that Vader/Anakin could defeat Yoda on Mustafar. The only reasons Anakin lost to Obi-Wan was A. Conflict, Anakin was conflicted about killing Obi-Wan despite his dark-side frenzy. B. Obi-Wan knew Anakin's fighting style/moves better than any other Jedi, so he could keep up with Anakin's speed/strength by predicting him. Anakin would not have either of these disadvantages when facing Yoda. For one, Anakin's fighting style directly counters Yoda's Atarru, Anakin's overwhelming offense would keep Yoda moving constantly, draining his stamina quickly. Second, Yoda knew Anakin as a Jedi, but not really as a person, not like Obi-Wan did. Obi-Wan knew Anakin's moveset inside and out, whereas Yoda would've maybe sparred with Anakin a handful of times at best, if that. As a result, while a close fight to be certain, Anakin would have 0 conflict and should have the hyper-focus necessary to either defeat Yoda through skill with a lightsaber, or defeat Yoda through attrition like Sidious did, wearing out Yoda's stamina with telekinesis and quick offensive strikes. This combination, in conjunction with Yoda's already force-taxing acrobatic style, would leave the grandmaster worn out and as a result, would be killed by Vader Tl;dr Obi-Wan counters Anakin, Palpatine counters Obi-Wan, Anakin counters Yoda, Yoda counters Palpatine.
But rememeber, yoda is the best duelist in the order only beaten by plo with electric judgment. Yoda faced dooku on geonosis, assaj on toydaria, sidious on corasaunt. Anakin isnt patient and after yoda knew anakin was lost he would strike him down mercifully killing him in 1 strike or disarming him maybe delimbing like obiwan 3 for 1 deal. Yoda is faster than sidious but sidious can keep pace with Yoda. 2 fighting on solid ground with no escape Yoda would have won. Sidious used home field to give him survivability on his side

I did specifically mention that Anakin would have to be hyper-focused if he were to win. And if any Jedi were to shake him out of his arrogance, it would be Yoda. As long as Anakin keeps the environmental advantage, and doesn't over-extend, he should win. Although, I still see this only working on Mustafar specifically. Any earlier, Anakin isn't strong enough in the dark side to fight Yoda. Any later, he's Vader, and was weak for years.
Kenobi would not have overpowered Sidious and killing Anakin just because he was doing the will of the force is dangerous for the future. If he thought like Payne from Naruto, he would have defeated Yoda by pulling the green troll by force and stabbing him with a sword. They shouldn't have been flattering at all. Anakin is not Palpatine, he could simply be excluded from the order and let him live peacefully with his family. Although the Jedi themselves ran into destruction. Mortals should not contradict the will of the goddess of their world. There can be no good ending if Anakin doesn't fulfill his destiny.

I don't know if Yoda would win. Anakin lost to obi wan because he was angry and overconfident. With Yoda, he would be scared and desperate......and that is by far more dangerous.
Yoda would wipe the floor with Anakin. Palpatine would wipe the floor with Obi-Wan. I think Yoda would do what Obi-Wan couldn’t and would kill Anakin. Yoda wasn’t as close to Anakin as Obi-Wan was. Yoda is also stronger than Obi-Wan in the force and would defeat Anakin faster. Obi-Wan isn’t as proficient with the force as Palpatine and arguably isn’t a better dualist. Palpatine would easily overwhelm him. I don’t think what happened in this video would ever happen, but I also think Obi-Wan would’ve never went to the apartment and Yoda never would’ve went to Mustafar. It was always going to play out the way it did in the movie.

I think people forget that at this point Anakin was a mass murderer, who had killed CHILDREN. He was extremely dangerous.

New subscriber here, I do like these What If's so keep em' coming. I really loved the Qui Gon importance highlighted in a few of these. Yoda vs Anakin would definitely be an interesting fight but I agree with how the endings of each fight happened. I liked Anakin redeeming himself sort of. The talk at the end of not quite Jedi, not quite Sith, is something I tried tackling in fanfiction as it's an interesting concept. Grey Jedi or Grey Sith? Or would they have another name? I honestly think that True Jedi were one's that were able to see, understand the dark side but know it was wrong. That is why only true masters were allowed to study it or aspects of it - Yoda, Windu (fighting style) and Yaddle?

Though I'll support your principle of sticking to the only certainty in swordfights: there is no guaranteed winner. The best swordsman fears the worst swordsman moreso than the second best for a reason. The further the gap in skill, the less the better opponent can predict.
Obi wan kenobi was way better then anybody ever gives him credit for. He killed maul and wiuld of killed sideous. Ge was calculated and fearless and never over confident. He was the perfect jedi.

I never understand why people make mon mothma a chancellor this early, I mean she basically just started her galactic political career. If anything I believe there wouldn't be a chancellor for like a couple of years because they would need to do some galactic reforms going over everything palpatine was part of to see how one individual gained so much power to prevent it. "What if Palpatine's plan failed" is a fitting name for almost every single Star Wars what if
I agree. Depending on the situation a lightsabre duel can go one way or another. Much like a professional boxing match. One side might have their head in the game more or want it more based on the situation. Also these matches involve the force which is known to intervene on occasions to give an advantage to one side or the other.
I like the way you ended the sith on the lava banks of musfar together ending their rule.

Yoda wouldn’t have cared if it was too dangerous for padme. He would have been willing to sacrifice her to get rid of the sith. Him and Obi wan mentioned once that despite their close relationship they would kill each other without hesitation if it meant ending the clone wars even a day early.

The seventh video of the campaign: I wonder what you could cook up with this idea - "What if Anakin died in the Battle of Coruscant ?". I was personally interested in seeing what would happen if Anakin crashed into a munitions crate or something, dying in the cockpit of his crashed fighter. How would that affect Obi-Wan and Sidious's plans ? Maybe Dooku could finally convince Obi-Wan to join him, or something else. Perhaps with Dooku arrested, the Jedi order would believe him and stop Palpatine, either killing him or arresting him. For the Jedi, the prophecy of the Chosen One would turn out to have been wrong, but in reality, Anakin not living to join Sidious would've probably been a better fate for the galaxy. Alternatively, Sidious could perhaps still salvage the situation, making his empire stronger. I think it could be another 2 part episode

I've always said that in a purely saber to saber fight with no telekinesis or lightning involved, Obi Wan is actually superior to Sidious. Obi Wan's skill with a lightsaber is legendary. Both of them have demonstrated the ability to out-duel the combination of Maul and Savage fighting together. Sidious actually needed to use telekinetic powers to fend off some of their moves, while Obi Wan (when in a balanced mindset) managed to dismantle them with strength and skill alone. In the original novelization of Ep3, Dooku himself also admitted that Obi Wan had surpassed his own skill, forcing Dooku to rely on telekinesis to subdue Obi Wan (I think there's also some implication that Sidious was covertly assisting Dooku there too). The problem with an Obi Wan vs Sidious duel is that like Dooku, Sidious isn't going to ignore his telekinesis/lightning forever. At some point, sooner or later he's going to start throwing out those powers. If Obi Wan keeps a grip on his saber, he could conceivably use it to block the lightning (for a time). But he's not powerful enough to do anything against Sidious ragdolling him. He could even avoid a duel altogether if he starts the conflict with those powers. Sidious only even uses a lightsaber as a way to mock the jedi, he doesn't even like using one. Your scenario presented in this video is plausible though, Obi Wan could hold his own as long as Sidious just treats the fight as a lightsaber duel.

Based on my understanding of star wars the sith Lords are notorious for playing with their food. That is to say they toy with their opponents to show their dominance over them and sometimes it bites them in the arse. That's why the jedi teach patients to their younglings and padawans as a counter to the sith's arrogance. So sidious underestimating obi-wan's lightsaber skills is just par for the course for a sith lord. Since anakin skywalker was willing to kill for padme it stands to reason does it not that he would be willing to die for her and their children. Kind regards from Daniel Harman.

Maul and savage vs sidious obi wan lasts a little longer than they did and anakin seeing how he beat dooku I’d say he’d have Atleast a 50-50 chance of winning with his powers being boosted by the dark side I thought sidious would kill obi wan and padmè saying that yoda did it getting rid of a Anakins attachments to the light other than Ashoka but in that scenario I thought anakin would retreat knowing he couldn’t defeat yoda and get away like dooku did

I honestly think that Vader/Anakin could defeat Yoda on Mustafar.
The only reasons Anakin lost to Obi-Wan was A. Conflict, Anakin was conflicted about killing Obi-Wan despite his dark-side frenzy. B. Obi-Wan knew Anakin's fighting style/moves better than any other Jedi, so he could keep up with Anakin's speed/strength by predicting him.
Anakin would not have either of these disadvantages when facing Yoda. For one, Anakin's fighting style directly counters Yoda's Atarru, Anakin's overwhelming offense would keep Yoda moving constantly, draining his stamina quickly.
Second, Yoda knew Anakin as a Jedi, but not really as a person, not like Obi-Wan did. Obi-Wan knew Anakin's moveset inside and out, whereas Yoda would've maybe sparred with Anakin a handful of times at best, if that.
As a result, while a close fight to be certain, Anakin would have 0 conflict and should have the hyper-focus necessary to either defeat Yoda through skill with a lightsaber, or defeat Yoda through attrition like Sidious did, wearing out Yoda's stamina with telekinesis and quick offensive strikes.
This combination, in conjunction with Yoda's already force-taxing acrobatic style, would leave the grandmaster worn out and as a result, would be killed by Vader
Tl;dr Obi-Wan counters Anakin, Palpatine counters Obi-Wan, Anakin counters Yoda, Yoda counters Palpatine.
But rememeber, yoda is the best duelist in the order only beaten by plo with electric judgment. Yoda faced dooku on geonosis, assaj on toydaria, sidious on corasaunt. Anakin isnt patient and after yoda knew anakin was lost he would strike him down mercifully killing him in 1 strike or disarming him maybe delimbing like obiwan 3 for 1 deal. Yoda is faster than sidious but sidious can keep pace with Yoda. 2 fighting on solid ground with no escape Yoda would have won. Sidious used home field to give him survivability on his side

B. I did specifically mention that Anakin would have to be hyper-focused if he were to win. And if any Jedi were to shake him out of his arrogance, it would be Yoda. As long as Anakin keeps the environmental advantage, and doesn't over-extend, he should win.
Although, I still see this only working on Mustafar specifically. Any earlier, Anakin isn't strong enough in the dark side to fight Yoda. Any later, he's Vader, and was weak for years.

Kenobi would not have overpowered Sidious and killing Anakin just because he was doing the will of the force is dangerous for the future. If he thought like Payne from Naruto, he would have defeated Yoda by pulling the green troll by force and stabbing him with a sword. They shouldn't have been flattering at all. Anakin is not Palpatine, he could simply be excluded from the order and let him live peacefully with his family. Although the Jedi themselves ran into destruction. Mortals should not contradict the will of the goddess of their world. There can be no good ending if Anakin doesn't fulfill his destiny.

I think Yoda would do what Obi-Wan couldn’t and would kill Anakin. Yoda wasn’t as close to Anakin as Obi-Wan was. Yoda is also stronger than Obi-Wan in the force and would defeat Anakin faster.
Obi-Wan isn’t as proficient with the force as Palpatine and arguably isn’t a better dualist. Palpatine would easily overwhelm him.
I don’t think what happened in this video would ever happen, but I also think Obi-Wan would’ve never went to the apartment and Yoda never would’ve went to Mustafar. It was always going to play out the way it did in the movie.
