same ! Fully enjoying my heartseeker rogue. As dumb to play as bash barb, but being ranged is love. Also not having to farm a thousand uber unique is nice. just a Shako and I'm speed farming 101
its insane to me that rogues key passives are like 500% multipliers, while sorc gets key passives with a 25% multiplier, at maximum 30%. Devs have no idea what they are doing.
@@YaeSakura3.0 oh no sorc is on its own this season they will have 2-3 fun builds but we dont have any way to survive pits so its gonna be alot of work to push deep. Druid is buffed alot and if they dont fix this bug they are gonna be insanely strong
Yeah... but none of them is for doing damage. But you are 1000% correct. Key Passives for Sorc or Druid are just pathetic when compared to f.g. Gushing Wounds or Precision. Barb: 140%[x] dmg Others: 7%[x] damage if the enemy is on the left, was frozen recently, is Vulnerable, wasn't hit yet, and it is Sunday, With everything in place you still will do 20x less dmg.
@@wilsonjp23 i mean they have builds that revolve around their ults completely. Death Trap and i just talked to someone tonight playing Shadow Clone Heartseeker. So many sorc builds are "this one is slightly better than the others so just take it"
When I saw the dark shroud temper I immediately thought that this can’t stay for season 5, it’s insane, on the other hand it really balances out the key passives.
Yep but at the same time it opens so many possibilities so I hope they fix and keep it. Right now it's bugged because you lose all your bonus attack power on one on two dark shroud skill activations.
Glad to see Exposure and Preparation making a comeback. I loved playing this way back on launch and hearing the grenades drop while Death Trap sucked everything in. Good times!
So we went from "Every viable Rouge build needs to run Darkshroud and that is a problem" to "Lets add a temper with ~70% increased damage per darkshroud for offensive slots which outclasses most other tempers to make some key passives viable" How does that make any sense? I agree that it is cool that melee build are more viable now, but how is that a long lasting solution? At this point just remove darkshroud from the passive tree an make it an actual passive trait?!
I really wanted to play a melee Rogue last season but it just didnt seem strong enough so I went barb again. Now is my time, so excited to try different variations of a flurry rogue in season 5.
Will it still be mandatory to lvl a Rogue for the recipes? I actually wanted to play a Sorc or a Necro since those are the two classes Ive yet to play.
This new dagger definitely helps alot especially for the grenade build in bossing section. right now im trying new grenade in ptr, and i can speed farming pit 91 without basic and core in my skill bar, and still really smooth. And i dont even have optimal gears and tempering.
Yeah l did the math on CQC, and it turns out you mostly want to stack DS damage over CC damage. I think you can look at it in two ways: cc damage is garbage and needs a buff (specially given that it is conditional), or DS damage is overtune. I hope they adjust cqc and let DS be competitive for momentum and exposure.
Isn‘t there a bug with advanced flurry not stacking up when flurry is imbued? with 10 poison imbue activations and preperation I never see us using flurry without active imbuement, making advanced flurry a wasted skill point since it never will stack
Great but... with the Crown of Lucion, Locran's Talisman, and Shard of Verathiel the only real option would be the HeartSeaker or BasicSkill-based builds only. Lucion + Verathiel + Locran's + Starless Sky + Bow Moonrise + Ring Rapid + Gloves Adaptability + Doombringer (or Edgemaster) and you are done holding one button. I don't get Blizzard. They are introducing some new Uniques but at the same time they buff basic skills to the Moon (with Uniques and Aspects) that other builds struggle and nobody cares about new shiny Uniques for Core skills and others. No wonder most top builds are using Basic Skill only and don't bother about resource management, CDs, etc.
Yeah I thought the Heartseaker and Bash builds were cool at first, but I don't like that they outshine Core skill builds by so much and so easily. There are core skill builds that are good, but it seems to take a lot more work/gear to get them up to par. I don't mind basic skills being viable, especially for leveling, but I don't think they should be an end game build.
@@BatDad-qu4foI've come to like the D4 classes revolving around one core skill approach. Although, I'd much prefer 10/15 core skills Vs the 5 in other clusters.
That flat additive damage is still superior to CQC right? CQC stats is completely useless when facing a boss outside of stagger state. Especially so in a prolonged boss fight.
Is it really more dmg though? My Andy rogue has about 1k CC dmg so I will loose that to gain 4k additive dmg so net worth of +3k. I also have flat dmg and over time and paragon nodes so I effectively double up my additive damage which also leads into double dmg same as CQC BUT this one gives me 30% AS also which can give 1-2 more breakpoints
What do you mean quite alot of damage per dark shroud? Expecting nerf? They are nothing compared to barb for every fking season. Rogue needs more damage buff, even more than this PTR new tempers to kill fast and they are squishy af. Same goes for sorc and druid. Go play barbs and understand that gap
Running HS with new sword and dagger and numbers are 4x already, missing the new elm that I cannot drop yet. And victimize is bugged too, so dmg will grow even higher
We need to keep pushing this topic, I don't see anyone talking about it again and just like last ptr it is gonna be the same. We have to make them change .
@michaelhughes657 Dude FR, the temper system is so busted. I mean I'm all for the random rolls, but it needs to be coded it CANNOT roll the same affix twice. Like, wtf are we doing? Going for vulnerable damage I shouldn't roll cutthroat 6 times in a row, only to brick a piece I've been waiting HOURS of game play for.
@jordongee2347 it's hilarious when I see people say we will all have everything we want day 1 lol that's only the streamers and people who buy their gear with real money, which I hate but that's another topic. But 98 % of players will never have a perfect build ever in this game , it's just dumb privilege saying otherwise. Tempering is an easy fix, we pick the stat we want and the rng aspect of it will be the percentage on the roll, so we get what we want/ need but the value is random.
@michaelhughes657 Right, I watched someone's build video, and they had 2 ubers and they're presenting it like, oh just throw it together. I understand the tempering, and what they WANTED it to be, and all that's fine. It literally seems like an easy fix, code it so it cannot roll the same thing twice, which happens to me 97% of the time. Just last night I finally found a better bow, and I told my buddy, nice, can't wait to brick this through tempering. Went and rolled 6 rolls of cutthroat, why? Why is it rolling the same affix that many times in a row? If it's not going to be fixed, remove it. I feel like, period.
