- Hey guys, so I thought I'd go ahead and cover my favorite band... more specifically their entire first album...
If you have never heard of "Starset", and somehow ended up here, I highly encourage you to check them out!
This took a little while to get out, but I hope you guys enjoy!
Each Track is covered entirely by ear, and two hands.
I'm (nervously) looking forward to doing the same with "Vessels"!
I went ahead and included each song's outro. Some tracks only have voice-overs as outros, so there are a couple sections of silence throughout the video.

I grew up with Starset and they helped me survive through an abusive household. Rediscovering Starset as an adult was an emotional experience for me, and since then, I've listened to them everyday.
Your piano covers brought out those same emotions in me, a vulnerable child clinging to the music of my favorite band. It's simply beautiful, and you're fantastic at playing.
Thank you so much for making me remember why I'm so emotionally attached to this band. Your covers are fantastic, I have a feeling I'll probably download this video.

I'm literally 2 minutes into it but I already LOVE this. Piano versions of the songs are always beautiful, but with this Starset album man, it reminds me so much of MassEffect (which is my favorite game ever) and honestly I want to cry for how much I love it! Hope you'll do more cause this has been a blessing to me ❤️
I'm a huge Mass Effect fan as well! A few of the orchestrated tracks I've done were inspired by Mass Effect! :D

you did this entirely by ear? thats SO impressive, man! wow, I thought starsets music was cinematic to begin with, but this is something right out of a movie soundtrack, its astounding. you translated these songs SO well to piano, bravo!
Dude this is awesome, you've got a fantastic ear -- I absolutely love it when people do stuff like this. I'm sharing this everywhere!! This is the album I fell in love with Starset from, and I cant help but sing the lyrics as I listen to this, it's impossible not to! I always seem to enjoy stuff that's composed by ear (or covered by ear) because it's always that music that's closest to the original. Whenever I listen to the kind that's been adapted by composers for a certain instrument, I'm almost always sorely disappointed. So, I commend you for the effort you put into this, and I will stand by this cover as long as it exists. :)
Thank you so much! Comments like these make it all worth it. Thank you for sharing as well! When I first discovered Starset a few years back, this album blew me away. I'd listen to it front to back repeatedly. I couldn't help but feel the need to put it all down on piano once and for all. I often play for "myself", and rarely play for others, (even less so on camera) but I cannot express how much it means to me to hear how much you enjoyed it! :)
@@TheArrivalProductions My house almost always has people in it, and because of some stuff that happened when I was a child, I barely ever play in front of people. I do practice sometimes, but only when no one is around, and when there is someone around, I will only play pieces I have memorized. I understand the feeling of wanting to only play for yourself because of that. (It is for this reason that I never played anything except fur elise until I was ten.)
Recently, I've begun composing music using chords I'm used to, and once I have a finished song, I may play it while my family is around. Putting together pieces by ear is a really fun way to practice, I've found, so when I saw this, I got really excited that other people do it as well. And then hearing just how much it resembles the original, I was so impressed! It's difficult to hear every note in a chord, but you've done fantastically here!

We are getting the Grand Piano shipped to the new location, so I plan on posting covers of every one of their songs. I likely won't be doing Vessels the same way I did this one, as playing live is simply easier for me. I'm looking forward to posting daily in the near future! 😁

Hey, just giving you an update about the project. I've been really sick for a while now. But it's finally starting to clear up. The plan is to start recording next week. Maybe even this weekend if I'm lucky. I didn't want to record while being sick as I don't want to mess up my voice and I want the recording to sound it's best. Also, I will probably be releasing it song by song and then doing a full album video for it after.

Thanks! I mean, I'd love to... It's not so much a matter of playing the songs but more a matter of not currently having the means to be able to sit down and record it all... If this channel ever reaches the point where it's sustainable, then a project like that will be a no-brainer. 😙

Uhh, I'd say to really sit down and do the same for Vessels is a bit of a longshot for me at this point, mainly because I don't have the time or setup right now, but seeing as we're coming up on the 1 year mark here, and they should have a new Album coming soon, more Starset is never off the table. @@TheArrivalProductions could you record with something that writes down the notes while you are playing a lot of free software out there i was able to see starset when they only had first album out then second 2 hour concert and third which was about 1 hour and 30
