A friend of mine is having to pay nearly £500 a month and he isn’t allowed to see his children for no other reason then pure spite from his ex. How is that fair? One of his kids rings him sneakily and they don’t t get a penny of that money all goes on alcohol and god knows what else!!! 🤬

I'm a single dad, had full custody for 11/12 years, I've never ever had a penny from their mother, we've not seen her for 9 years. I dont care , I know I've done it all on my own, all off my own back and my kids know this as well. I do feel sorry for our children though, cant be nice for them knowing their mum can't be bothered to even post a birthday card
They are probably glad that she and her baggage are out of the way and have immense respect for you !!

And what if they refuse to sign it. Plenty of men go round having kids they don’t pay for and have no intention of raising.
@@sh.4409 My daughter’s father hasn’t signed her birth certificate, he’s not even on it. But he did have to do a DNA test which sorted that out. He did have to pay for his daughter but don’t feel sorry for him. While paying for my daughter he had two more children with two other women that he put through private schools. So money obviously wasn’t an issue for him. Having said that, I know lots of men are wronged by this system

The only thing that, anecdotally, CMS and women's aid do effectively is help mothers facilitate and further their controlling and coercive behaviour towards their children's fathers.

They never go after Mothers. My sister never paid maintenance for the twins she left behind when they were were only 2. I used to buy most of their clothes and take them on holidays and pay for their Father to go on the holidays as well.

Quit the job, find cash in hand job, go live with your family, make sure you have a foreign bank account or ask one of your relative to give you a bank card which you can use to put your money that's it. I'm doing this myself I'm free from stressful. I sleep well now. I don't care about child maintenance services whatever will write or say to me. I live my life just like before
CMS removed the option to even send them a message via their online portal. So you have to wait on the phone for a minimum of an hour time after time.

If CMS were serious about fairness of payments they wouldnt be taking different amounts of cash from different fathers for one child. it should not be based on how much the father makes it should be based on what the childs costs are and a set mandatory payment to be paid not on how much the father makes but on the area where the child lives as in (cost of living expense) women have been using CMS to fleece fathers who work their butt off for decent pay alongside the CMS taking a cut of the money..

I had my 3 children after a court order, i never had a penny from their mother. My girls never went without i worked all the hours i could child support not once applied any pressure to her, but if the shoe was on the other foot, they'd be on me like a ton of bricks!!!! The system doesn't work, especially for fathers who raise the child or children.
@@lks6248 I do know that, but they don't directly receive the money. But regardless, they never had a say, and their mothers' true colours came through. System just isn't fit for purpose but your correct in the responsibility lies solely with both parents but sadly it's a failed system for some. My girls know how hard it's been but I've never complained and seen them grow up to be lovely young women. To me that's all I've wanted.
I be more worried when I've not been allowed to see my child 3 plus years in the court system after doing nothing wrong and my kid is being used as a weapon the system is fucked and it seems that the other parent is allowed to use children as a weapon even when the court knows yet seems to be unable to let me see my child fuck the system

yea its a p!ss take, they don't care of course and ultimately neither does the mother, she'd rather you and the kids suffer out of her own spite. Like my childs mother. But keep fighting and if possible, get a notepad and make a diary for them so when theyre old enough they do know that you did fight for them. Keep all your court documentation for proof also. Its difficult bro so keep fighting, after 3 years, I've lost everything, no car, no house, no job, renting a room in my parents house but the tide is turning very slowly. I’m tired of all these people saying they can’t see their kids. Why don’t you fight for them in the courts???
Because you don't know their circumstances. You have to pay to take it to court. You then file for a child arrangements order which sets out what both parents should do in order to arrange access. This order is for the non residing parent against the residing parent to allow access. However if the residing parent breaks the order repeatedly, the only thing you'll be advised to do is go back to court which again has no outcome whereby the one breaking the order is punished. So the process is like a revolving door. Family solicitors will even admit there isn't much fathers can do because courts do not like to prosecute mothers.
So you can make judgment on individual cases
what about the fathers who pay and dont get to see there kid?? im one off those not seen my 2 kids in over 4 yrs csa arent interested just want your money not bothered if you loose house or cant afford to live in thee end my mental health wenth through the floor get hounded threats from the csa and im a man who never missed a payment all went wrong when i needed an operation and me been selfemployed you dont work you dont get paid the money is calculated from your last year earnings so they expected the same money and wouldn't listen at all in thee end i cancelled my selfemployed now she gets absolutely nothing ive left the uk i done write by my kids the csa broke me as a man im in a much better place mind body and sole now

@nobodybelievesme It's also a women's choice. But unlike farthers, all mothers get child support from the government anyway. Shouldn't mothers pay their way? For a farther that doesn't even bother with their kids, they should be paying something. Point is, mothers are supported by the taxpayer so they are not out of pocket, while the farther that are in their kids' lives are still out of pocket. It makes a big difference for farther being out of pocket. Unable to do as much with their kids, unable to see them as often, unable to buy them the things farther want to buy them. And as for suicide, it's not a different issue. It's a fact.

There are lots of big factors regarding fathers and their rights especially those that paid maintenance but have had no contact with their children for 20 years mothers are evil and take out restraining orders to stop fathers having contact with their children even though they follow the law she can swap and change partners as many times as she likes and they will always have contact with the children but the system is so bad and so wrong fathers are not cared about and father's rights are taken away from them They're over 2 million men in the same position as me 20 years is like doing a prison sentence
Restraining orders aren't granted for no reason. The courts have to believe that the man is a danger to the mother and / or the children.
Plenty of mothers stop farther seeing their kids out of spite. Using their own children as a weapon while taking money from the farther at the same time. Then fill their children's heads with stuff as to why their farther isn't in thir child's life.

@@richardgallagher4880 I've seen plenty of applications refused. If a restraining order exists, it is because the court believes the subject of the restraining order is a danger. They can be challenged if someone does not agree with them
I was chased by child support in 90s and made to pay despite asking to see a valid birth certificate made to pay for years persued at all times.
After i finished paying got access to certificate it said Father unknown.
Then to my disbelive the mother tried to claim for his brother who had nothing to do with me whatsoever.
All these people need to understand is that I’m not paying for your child. I’ve enough on with mine.
I was paying child maintenance until one day I got a letter saying that they were no longer going to be taking child maintenance from me anymore as they were instructed to do so by the mother.
I contacted the agency asked them to continue taking my child maintenance as I am the father of my child.
They refused and said they cannot. I was absolutely fuming. After having taken my child’s mother to court to get a to see my son, she then went back to the CSA to get money from me. I told the child support agency to DO ONE!!!😡🖕🏾
C/M will not see where the money is spent and do not take into consideration of how much extra the father is spending.
These people automatically treat paying parents like they have committed a crime.
They have no interest in paying fathers regardless of living circumstances.
I also had arrears just appeared out of nowhere. I asked how is that possible if ive neber missed a payment and pay directly? They say thats just what they do they automatically put you in arrears.

Does the CMS take into consideration how this will affect the future of these kids (especially boys) who will also grow to become men and be taken through same cycle when most of these ladies who destroy their own home, and force the men to leave home for the larger good of these kids but are blocked access even when they are committed being part of their kids life and raise them? I fear for the future of this nation if thorough checks and investigation into the activities of CMS. It should not just be about the money and destruction of the paying parents very livelihood.

My ex and I split up when our son was 6 months old. She took him and ran off up north with another man who'd she'd been having an affair with. I couldn't aford to travel and see my son whilst also paying child support. At one stage, i hit bankruptcy just to see him twice a month (6 hours travelling each way). Now im being told i have to pay her £700 a month due to a HMRC tax calculation error and there is nothing they can do to change it. I literally have to go to court now or face another financial wipeout. There needs to be a) a cap on how much money Fathers should pay per child and b) an evaluation of the parent with childs income. The system is extremely unfair on Dads. I've had several calls from cms saying I've overpaid, but there is no chance of getting the money back.

I raised my child alone. I NEVER wanted money from her father, he was struggling, and he wasnt in her life and would never have expected him or wanted him to pay a penny. I'm proud of that decision. Children are not commodities

£650 a month they took off me for my 3 sons and I had already paid my ex in cash, didn't keep receipts did I, I trusted her. The trouble is those that do pay or they can get hold of are paying for those that don't. They don't seem to go after absent mothers either.
If you’re on a average salary that’s crazy! After rent, council tax, utilities and food you’re probably left with about £400 a month maybe less

Cms accused me of having three children when I only have two and have now billed me in line with that hic up of nearly £800 pm and the highest portion of that going to my eldest of whom my rights of having a relationship was removed from me.

@firkit you need to speak to CMS quickly. Your payments should stop at 18 (or 20 if a particular HE course). What's being taken from you is illegal and you are due compensation. You can raise an N1 form from gov.co.uk against other parent to claim money back. You should stop your direct debit immediately from your bank!!

The CMS was requesting £114,000 from me due to a error on the automated system, I had to make a complaint to get this resolved over a 8 month process before anyone would listen, a complex case work eventually got it right and removed this amount off my case
If Child Maintenance is about welfare for children, then why is it money and not about contact with both parents?
Child Maintenance should enforce equal contact for fathers unless they are dead beats but fathers have no rights and are treated like wallets who have no right on how their child is to be raised. CM should be scrapped or equal rights, but mother knows if the father has contact, they get less handouts
System is unfair. I took my boys on when 1 and 2 which they are now teenagers. I got a new gf and had 2 more kids. 10 years later she leaves with my youngest 2. Now I pay her over £400 a month. I’m a single dad and get nothing for the other 2 kids that live with me. Long story short, 2 of my kids that live with me are at a big disadvantage in life now. 25% of my incoming goes to my ex. Her house hold gets big income now as she with another bloke also. How is this fair?

I had to make numerous arrears payments, which were clearly false as I never missed a payment (over paid in fact), and it made no difference. I’m STILL apparently in arrears and they’ve put my mthly payments £200 OVER what the CMS Calculator confirms. I’m just told to pay it or else (I was forced onto a Collect & Pay for over 4yrs when there was no reason for it). A law unto themselves. My kids have even said they don’t want kids themselves because they’ve seen what I’ve gone through with the CMS (and I hid it as best as I could from them).
They have been defrauding me for years by using an inflated salary and not taking into account my living costs th EU have been taking 875 per month for my 17 yr old daughter it’s disgusting

If people have had children, the cost of maintenance should be deducted directly from the wages and paid back equally or weighted according to a court order if the parents have seperated.
There is a reason marriages are on the decline and birth rates are dropping like a lead balloon.There needs to be pre-ups to come as standard/built into every marriage and maintenance if the child is proven to be yours and as fair maintenance based on income of both parties. It takes two to tango in the new world of equality.
Parents must live up to.their equal accountable responsobilty.
