Love how you explain all of this! For someone who is completely new to eventide, you do a much better job explaining then the other videos I’ve watched
It’s expensive but it can be your whole pedalboard just add one or two of you fav overdrives and you’re set , and there’s lots of cheaper modeling alternatives out there for every budget , wonderful demo and playing as always, love that PRS Fiore also 👍
Thank you for this tutorial, you restored my faith! I bought this thing following recommendations of some serious people and couldn’t tweek my way out of a hole in the ground (Blackhole lol), couldn’t activate the most simple controls without reaching a dead end each time, other than going through the 99 factory presets. Now I’ll try to follow your pointers. Thanks again for your effort. (BTW it’s po-LY-phony)
I told my Sweetwater guy yesterday to reserve one for me when I saw it accidentally leak. I JUST sent Eventide a product request a week ago asking for almost this exact thing! Even asked for 4CM and it can do it! And true spillover…be still my beating heart. ❤ I haven’t been this stoked for a new product in a long time. Mine arrives Friday and the H9 max I said I’d never sell is probably going to be sold. 😂
I sold five pedals and got a used H90. It was well worth it. I would love to see an in-depth, step by step review on how to develop specific tones on the H90. I am learning trying to emulate what you did on this video. Thanks for doing what you do!
Many of the commenters clearly have no idea what this is. The Eventide is not meant to compete with the Line 6 and other multi effects. Those effects are like Swiss Army Knives as they have a bit of everything and work well for many people. The Eventide puts more processing power into fewer effects to achieve studio quality sound without the studio. It’s two very different technologies and classes of device.
It gets played in churches all around the world. Check out Hillsongs Church from Australia. Just an example of a huge non-Merican church with modern worship. It's global.
The Meris LVX has a challenger! Prism shift reminds me of the Terra Echo setting in the Boss DD500, where it sounds extreme by itself but blends really nicely with another delay. Quite a lot of nice movement in the demo here.
I'm actually really impressed. To be fair, the H9 is older tech so of course the new iteration will be more robust... but lawd.... ha'mmercy Also so cool to see more and more worship guitarists use a PRS. I felt like I was the only one for a decade lol
Sounds really nice, Im using an eclispe right now,, But this is one of the nicest pedals I've heard in a long time ,, Thanks for the info, will have to try one out now for sure
That’s a fab tutorial thank you !! It’s all becoming clearer now ! Love your pad sounds I’ve got to get some of those programmed !! Btw in England its . Po Lif an nee = 🤘
Would love to see y'all compare the sound quality of the H90 effects to the HX Stomp. Might even be a good product in there, like an HX preset pack trying to recreate H90 sounds
Any one complaining about the price of this pedal being too much…. is an absolute Noob!. You could literally take this one pedal and your guitar and amp and have everything you need. If you want to expand a little you can add an expression or wah pedal and for greater preset control just add a midi switcher. Its a no brainer. High quality effect and super powerful processor.
Hey Brian, how about rolling out these great H90 presets for sale like you did for the Boss series pedals you made! I'm sure there will be many subscribers on your channel interested in getting them.
That's replacing 4 effects with two. Whilst the H90 has multiple effects in one, they're more limited in features. e.g. delay, pitch, chorus and reverb is achievable however you might not have the hall/spring/plate options, or specific type of chorus or specific type of delay etc.etc.
Yeah that's just the H90 and the Compressor (Empress Comp Mk 2). I was going back and forth between the MicroPitch and the right side of the H90 because I had dailed in the MicroPitch setting in the H90 to sound like my main setting on the red MicroPitch pedal. So they were supposed to sound the same there going back and forth. Technically they'll sound identical if the same settings are used.
What is the signal path for your board? Are you direct out to your amps? Where and how do you run your favorite drive, fuzz, time-based effects? How are you powering the H90 on your board (bearing in mind it is center pole positive)? Thanks and God bless.
I'm newer to worship music (been playing a year on the platform now). I'm bringing a gibson les paul with no peddles to the stage (only working with volume/tone knobs and sound guys making adjustments). I grew up on rock music from Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Clapton to GNR and Pearl Jam and that influences my sound. Is it just a worship music thing to have 50+ things to step on? Am I cheating myself or the congregation by not having more to my rig? I really enjoy your content and thank you for helping me learn so much!
It's not much more than the price of two separate Eventide pedals and has a lot more usability and sounds than that. I've been using the Space and TimeFactor for well over a decade and they're truly amazing pedals and so versatile. Can even be used for keys and synth.
@@Soakinindeep Just a simple American-shaped plug for the wall. No big deal as it’s included in the box (mine came with three plug adaptors, UK, US, EU).

It really depends on what you want to use H90 for. If you use it for delay and verb (which you absolutely can do), you won’t be able to use the pitch or modulation sounds in it.
My knee was lodged against the table that my board was sitting on so anytime I moved it was wobbling. I was a one man production crew for this video so I was doing the best I could 😂

It can create out-of-this-world climbing and cascading pitched delays, unique sounding reverbs, and granular effects for helping instruments stand out in a mix"
That is one expensive pedal board. Added up the cost- easily over $3500 in cost. Must be nice- the rest of us can watch your RUclips video and just dream.
i was all done with Eventide's BS when they gouged everyone to get everything in the H9... No inovation at all...just repackaging their old algorythms over and over again... ☹️

The Stomp and FM3 are very capable, but they don’t really do many of the things Eventide does, especially with pitch. Fractal can come close, but Line 6 just doesn’t have effects that do what H90 does. Of course it’s all based on an individual’s needs and budget.
Naw that's a lot of opinion and not necessarily truth. A lot of guitar pedals, eventide included, are great studio tools as well as guitar tools. They certainly aren't a novelty for producers or touring musicians. Strymon would be in a similar camp. The reverbs / pitch shifting algorithms alone are worth the price honestly.

that 808 RIPS.

Does the h90 have a vintage fuzz sound or any type of fuzz in it?
That’s almost FM3 price, would be cool if Eventide would do a modeler type pedal

14:15 Puh-liffany, not poli-fonny. For future reference. (edit - you got it right the next time - rhymes with Tiffany)
Is it worth changing the dd500 and big sky for the h90?

@@worshiptutorials you can just set it up like a pro I saw had it set, 2 H9's in a row (now update to H90's and you're all set!) 😅

Yes but many of the programs have more than one algorithm, so if you pick the right ones, you could have up to 4 at one time

I dont think its the successor of the H9. I think its more like the Eclipse but in a pedal format but more powerful and with an editor.
