Fabulous .. I have known about my factor 8 issue since 1986 ... and now I am off to the operating theatre in 1 week for surgery. It was at my appointment with my surgeon a few weeks ago, that i mentioned my bleeding history following a procedure in 1986 (which I had investigated back then too) but I didn't have a hematologist back then to consult me. Today after extensive blood tests I will be informed as to my status on this topic! Having just watch this video has already shed light on what i might be hearing in a few hours time Thank you :)
My son has has been diagnosed with congenital deficit of factor VIII, hemophilia A - severe form, and a retrocerebral cyst in the posterior brain fossa.
Is there a different name for those who have very high levels of Factor VIII? I have family members diagnosed with Factor VIII levels of over 300%. Several family members have died from this clotting disorder. My sister was diagnosed with Factor IV Leiden and Factor VIII. Her Factor VIII was well over 300%. Her blood has too much of the clotting factor that hemophiliacs lack.

I have factor 7 deficiency with a clotting activity of 23%, I'm 34 and never had a bleeding issue exception being when they draw blood, I bleed longer it don't apply pressure

*clotting
*prothrombin
*Haemophilia
Factor X is activated bx Factor IXa
