@@NearMintCondition That bums me out. I have hopes for eventual hardcovers but DC has canceled way too many trade collections, like to the point where it's hard to justify picking up the first volume because the others might not be released. Marvel has far more confidence in their backlog.
I assumed the flash hardcover would have been deluxe edition. That’s a real shame, both flash and superman deserve better than this. I’ll be picking up the man of steel though in the hopes good sales will get me an omni later but I won’t hold my breath knowing DC collected editions department.
I wish they collect the World of Krypton, World of Metropolis and World of Smallville miniseries, either in one of these volumes or in a separate one. Millennium had so many crossovers that were reevant to the main story, that it would work great as an omnibus!
You know, before I started watching this channel I wouldn't have cared about the size of the Flash book. But now I'm spoiled and I will probably refuse to buy it because it's not oversize. I have all the single issues anyway.
Playing John Williams' Superman The Movie theme tune in the background is a nice touch Omar ! Think i am going to have to order the Man of Steel volumes.
I was a bit disappointed as well seeing that repeated red spine colour on Man of Steel Vol 3 (got the book already in Canada), but aside from that it’s a really well designed book. I suspect they went with the standard size format to appeal to younger readers who may not want to hoist a heavy omnibus for reading every time. These stories are timeless and should be able to be enjoyed by everyone, not just those of us willing to shell out big bucks on big books. I hope they keep pumping these volumes out up to Death & Return.
@@TheDrunkestSailor so I suppose that’s why all the young reader graphic novels are in a smaller format, then? Omar, I, too, reread that Action Annual #1 like a thousand times, just pouring over every panel of Art Adam's drawings.
