Okay, I'm a complete ignorant about the art of photography, and it was very interesting to know that it's still common to use vintage equipment and when I went into more depth I discovered how many lenses have unique characteristics and it was because of your video so, thank you. Oh, and do not worry, you look great in the video, I think we all know how strange it must be if you expose yourself in such a different way but you did very well, I think if you produced more content here would have a large audience.

oh thank you! Helios 44m-7 is the M42 lens as well, so you need to buy M42 adapter ring (lens adapter) to attach it to Nikon body. You can find one on B&H for example for about 13 bucks. But you won't have the infinity. You can look on ebay adapters with additional lens inside to have the infinity

Cool samples. Swirly bokeh is cool but when you crop image and it swirls somewhere in the corner, it's a miss.

Ok I'm late to this but how do you find focusing manual lenses on a DSLR? Do you use a custom focusing screen?
I do everything manually and don't use anything but a lens and my camera viewfinder. It's easy because Nikon has a manual focus confirmation green dot

You need infinity to be able to focus futher than 3-4 meters away:)
