I have no luck with touch typing. I touch a letter with 1 thumb, and touch the screen with my other thumb. I guess it’s all about what works for you. Great video!
The Blind guy Show definitely whatever works for you. I actually dictate most of my messages. But I do use it from time to time. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
@ghost mall it’s really just muscle memory and approximating where the key is supposed to be. There are going to be certain apps where auto correct will generally take over and make typing a lot easier. These are the messages and notes applications. Ironically, this would actually hinder your ability to use direct touch typing in a meaningful way. At least at first. I would say that if you go into Safari and practice doing searches, you’re going to start understanding a generalized idea of where the keys are. After about four or five days of constant practice it’ll start really getting easier, and you’ll start to fly through the keyboard.
@@stevefoxyorktheguidedog4350 Thanks Steve, yeah, things going really well considering. Spencer has the just of four routes so far - on leash of course.Stay safe and well
Just found your channel. Currently I’m at the point I don’t absolutely need voiceover yet but my sight is still deteriorating so it won’t be long before I do need to use it all the time. I find the gestures like trying to learn spells so struggling to remember how many fingers and how many taps or if I need to swipe this time this is a brilliant little tutorial and I’m just off to check another voiceover video you’ve made. Thank you for sharing.
Lynne Nicholson The good thing about voice-over is that you do not have to use it all the time. I need to use it all the time. But lots of people only use it sometimes. When is something it’s hard to read. Or if they get eyestrain from trying to read for long periods. I might have to make some more videos on voice-over. Thanks for watching. I’m glad you found it helpful. Cheers!
@@stevefoxyorktheguidedog4350 my remaining sight is getting increasingly blurry so it’s really getting difficult to read the text on my phone... I’m already using the largest text size so the next step will to be using voiceover on my iPhone full time I think... so I need to up my game. Of course the iPad screen being larger so the text is larger I will probably get away with not using voiceover on it all the time at first but since my headaches are getting more frequent I will eventually have to accept that voiceover is essential.
Great tip!!
The Blind Life thanks for your support. I really appreciate it. I’m glad you liked the video. Have yourself a great day!

Hey Steve, do you use the haptics on the iPhone?
Scott Grimley yes I do. But I haven’t done any fine tuning on those settings. Cheers!
