- ‘Do not be afraid’ is written in the Bible 365 times. "You Are Mine", a popular hymn written by David Haas, is taken primarily from Isaiah 43:1b, "Do not fear… You are mine".
In our second virtual choir video, CFJ Choir sings "You Are Mine”, arranged by Mark Hayes. It is a song that holds lot of history for us. We first performed this beautiful arrangement in our first choral concert in 2018. It has since become one of our favourite songs to sing. In 2019, we sang the song as we bid farewell to our dear friend, Kevin Pratama, who passed in his sleep. In 2020, you are watching us sing this song virtually in our own homes, in light of the Coronavirus outbreak.
We, as one #cfjchoirfamily, have found great comfort and joy in the song. With this video, we #singwithjoy to send a message of courage and assurance to everyone out there.
It is a reminder that, no matter where we are and in every high and low point in our life, God is always with us. He is near, and great is His love for us.
