    Ive taken Arginine from experience, and what I feel is that i dont become tired as quick and dont sweat as much when olaying a sport. Makes me more calm and increases endurance. maybe placebo, maybe not. but it definitely helps me.

      I have taken arginine for several years. It makes me sweat like twice as much. Also few farts more, but those are not like gas attacks. It makes the blood flow better and I don't feel as much cold (re-look the sweating part). For exercise it gives a faster recovery between sets and the pump seems to be somewhat better but not hugely. Also seems to help for asthma, don't need so much medicine. Daily dosage for me is 4 grams on resting days and 8 on workout days. This is my experience of arginine and I like it.
      For some, what I've heard, it has helped to sleep better, but I've always slept poorly.

      I've noticed showers of sweat. My shoulders are usually the first to sweat profusely then sweat crawls down my forearms and drips through my finger tips. This happens usually 15-20min into the elliptical and follows with weight training.
      My mistake, apparently, is doing cardio first then weight training. I've seen ppl suggest weight training first then cardio.

    Don't get mad at the video because you don't agree with it, he is just the messenger. He listed his sources in the description and to my surprise his conclusions do have a solid foundation. However, even though L-Arginine may not directly improve performance (strength and growth) it still leads top vasodilation which results to a better pump.

    Interesting as I can find a difference between taking it before workout and if I don't take it.
    Starts with faster recovery, getting tired later.
    I do weight training and cycle a lot - and especially if it comes to cycling, I notice a difference at around the 35km mark and doing long trips at around 55km again.
    Usually I need a break at 35 - but can push through it.
    On long trips, I used to need a longer break between the 55 and 65km mark - however on L'Argenine I don't need to do a rest - I can keep going.
    Similar with running, around 7 years ago when I started and this is why I keep using it - with the supplement I could do a 1.5km sprint before, without I can't even do 500m. In the meantime I gave up running and prefer cycling.
    With or without - after a 100km ride; the next day I feel the same.

      @rub23n this is what sports doctors recommend, btw. It's not me saying to do this. They say you need 15-18g of arginine to boost nitric oxide levels. The doctor recommended the 5g three times a day. The 3rd one before bedtime being most important. Apparently, it tricks the pituitary gland into releasing more growth hormone while you sleep. Buy l-arginine in powder form. Comes with a 5g scoop. Best workout of your life on the 4th day after getting in your system

Also I felt I was able to push harder during workouts which made my results better for me. Also I felt much more aroused at home with my wife than before. I have always had a large libido but I could tell a major difference in that dept. as well. My suggestion to people is give it a try stay true to the supplement for 3-4 months track your progress and then see what you get. Everybody is different. Keep lifting, keep doing core work, and eat more. Your six pack isn't going anywhere as long as you don't overeat.

    • @Mozo901
      @Mozo901 8 лет назад

      The only reason you have a six pack is because you're are skinny and have low body fat. The thing is, is that you need to increase you're food intake, hence body fat, to grow muscle. Yes, you will lose so me definition in your six pack but there is no other way to have both a six pack, and grow muscles....unless you on steroids. Just eat a lot for 8 months out of the year and diet down for 4 to reveal that six pack of yours during summer.

      and how much work out is too much? can I do it every day and just sleep regularly?

    • @Mozo901
      @Mozo901 8 лет назад

      +Sebastian Roque You need to make sure your body has time to recover between workouts. This varies for each individual but usually, 48-72 hours is sufficient enough time to hit the same muscle group again. Yes, also make sure you get adequate sleep. If you are a complete beginner, there are many proven beginner programs out that you should research. I would suggest building your strength up first then advancing to more "bodybuilder" type isolation work.

      Checked it out, it was great. Thanks! Also, can you make a video addressing if cardio is needed in order to lose belly fat? In other words, is a healthy diet and weight training enough to lose belly fat?

    • @kingofbrutaltheocracy9201
      @kingofbrutaltheocracy9201 Год назад

      @@blobepic5906 for posterity.... Fat is only created from carbohydrates which your body converts glucose, or starches your body converted to carbohydrates, or insane amounts of protein with your body converted to glucose.
      Bottom line is this: No sweets 5 days a week, no more cooking oils (estrogenic effects causes fat to build). No soda (diet or regular, sweet tasting things causes insulin to release from the flavor), donuts, cookies, sugary coffees etc....start everyday with as many eggs cooked in butter as you can eat. Then have a protein shake. Small high protein snack for lunch, to take the edge off, not enough to get sleepy. Big Steak, small-medium potato for dinner, big pile of sour cream on that dirt apple, saturated fat is your best friend when cutting carbs. 2-3 days a week you get 100 g of complex carbohydrates ie whole grains, you can do a little simple carbs on these days if you have discipline. This is ketogenic carb cycling, it will cause your body to burn fat and not store carbs. If you can start off by cutting carbs entirely for one or two weeks you will jump-start your fat burning metabolism, but it will be hard on your physical and mental energy. Your brain uses glucose for energy, so the adjustment to ketosis glucose production will be hard. Start on a long weekend when you don't have to work.
      There is not enough time in the day, to do enough cardio, to burn the calories you can consume in half an hour from simple carbohydrates. Fat loss is all about diet. Your body becomes unresponsive to cardio after a while.
      If food is your main source of pleasure you need to find a new source, or you won't lose the fat. After a couple of months you will see amazing results, and the gym and self care might become your new favorite thing. Good luck folks.

    is it better to consume protein supplements before or after a workout?

    • @PictureFit
      @PictureFit  8 лет назад +1

      Nutrient timing is negligible for the average individual. Unless you're a top tier bodybuilder, worrying yourself about timing your nutrients wouldn't be worth the effort. Make sure you get enough protein throughout the day and you should be fine.
      If you are indeed a top tier bodybuilder, then nutrient timing can be helpful because it might make a 2-3% difference in composition. That amount of change, although negligible for a layman, can be the difference maker in placing 3rd and 1st in a BB competition. If that's TRULY the case, there are some studies that indicate nutrient timing protein within a 1-4 hour window after training can increase muscle protein synthesis by a small amount.
