Am very impressed with these kids this is not a easy song to do. And they know what real music is. And it's THE WHO GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND OF ALL TIME..
Probably you were a bit anxious, some of you, but what a really good cover of a really good song ! One of my favorites from the Who ! Congratulations from France !
who are the plonkers that have clicked thumbs down , this is great to here a bunch of kids do one of my fave tracks by the best band that has and will ever be in the world ,you kids are alright
Might as well go for one of the trickiest ones! Superb, and it was great to hear a version leaning toward the Quick One LP version with the extra Ivor verse and the harmonies up front as well as the lighter ‘66 guitar sound. Kudos to the drummer doing one of the most demanding ten minutes in rock. And the really tight finale, gradual acceleration and door-slam ending was PERFECTION.
Mr Jesus This was a tribute to 1966. The season was the celebrate this location's tenth year, so they did "Decades of Rock" - seven shows, starting at 1956 and finishing with 2016.
Accidentally stumbled upon this video, and I’m very pleased. Massive Who and Keith Moon fan, the drummer was great at keeping time, I know from experience that this song is far from easy to play. Probably one of the hardest ones I know… So big props to the drummer! Lovely cover, the band would love this! Talented kids!
Absolutely Brilliant! It's nice to see today's youth playing songs older than their mother. Thanks for posting! I probably have a smile on my face all day
Absolutely magnificent! It's so special to see such young people dedicating themselves to music that reaches beyond the ages. There once was a note...listen!
The kids as a band did a good attempt, the vocals are amazing! I been listening to this song for decades, I loved hearing the harmonies that they were able to fit into this really awesome. The rest of the band hopefully listen and compare to the original
Now that they have Lincoln Center medallions and 2 dead Europeans, The Who really ARE officially Opera composers. THEY got to perform 'Tommy' at Constitution Hall in DC in 1969 with no "issues". But since I lived there then, I sort of wish they had played at the Lincoln Memorial. We would have heard them all the way to Maryland Av. NE!
First LP I ever bought & my fav traqck back in the day (I was 14) Was dreadingg this but wow ............. really enjoyed this and they put a smile on my face .................. You are forgiven
well done young people fantastic good to see the younger generation appreciate good music Pete and the roger would be proud as the late great Keith and john would to
Great cover kids. I'm a Who fan since my teen years, I'm 22 now. This has always been one of my favourite songs, way too underated in my opinion. Seeing younger fellows covering it really makes me glad! Now you just have to work on your attitude! 😎 Own the stage, you are rockstars! And feel the song too, especially the bassist and drummer, don't do the minimum, go for it, even if that means hitting wrong notes in rehearsals! Cheers from France
been listening to the Who for over 40 years. a fun kick at one of my fave bits by the mods... your bass-player isn't quite up to Ox's harmonics but he does an awesome job. your drummer is clearly ready to tour. nice job everybody
Roy McLean Thank you on their behalf. This was a regular season show, where all the kids in the School pick one of the show programs offered, then learn it over 12 or so weeks, then do two shows for the public. So there will be a mixture of skill levels on display, with the more experienced kids mentoring the less experienced. As you noticed, the drummer is one of the more experienced (as is the keyboard player.) And by doing different music every season, they get exposed to the entire spectrum of Rock music.
Great job guys and gals. The Who did this song on " Live at Leeds" in I think 1970 it's a double album if you love the Who, and I believe you do, it's only Roger on vocals, Pete guitar, John bass, and Kieth on drums.check it out y'all will love it. rock on.
The Live At Leeds version wasn’t the version I heard, and it’s still my favorite (all the stage banter and Pete’s hilarious spoken preface enhance it greatly) with The Rolling Stones Rock ‘n Roll Circus version as a close second.
A "Mini-Tommy"... Pete called it "Tommy's parents." Of course, the prerequisite comments were made about the song's subject matter, but four years later....are the gang up for doing this one more in the style of the The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus? 😊 [Aside: This was really well done!]
The kids are alright! Well done 👍

A quick while he's away its called...
@@gg_afb3598 he is saying they are good at playing this song *facepalm*

The genius of Pete Townsend. It makes me smile to know there’s wonderful kids out there making marvellous music. You’re all amazing ❤️
Truly remarkable! Happy to find this gem nearly 7 years too late.
Been listening to this song for over 45 years. Thanks, kids! Nice job!
Great to see these kids knowing and playing good music! Real artists!
A really imaginative and not very obvious choice of song to cover.
This Song is about child abuse...
@@amadeomenavicente546 it actually is not
+Amadeo Mena Vicente I believe you're misinformed. You can take what you want from it, as with any music, but the song actually explains itself.
@terrialan3 Pete himself explained the Song in an Interview. No! In a concert!
@@amadeomenavicente546 that's dumb you're dumb

Love that one of the guitararists is wearing the tee with the target on front. Nice nod to the Mods.

I think you called it accurately. Plonkers, they are indeed.

you guys are so amazing the who woukd be so proud of all of you, just so brilliant
Brings a tear to my eye, kids pulling this great song out of the bag!
Odd to see younger people cover this, but they did a damn good cover.
Mr Jesus This was a tribute to 1966. The season was the celebrate this location's tenth year, so they did "Decades of Rock" - seven shows, starting at 1956 and finishing with 2016.
Lovely kids, lovely cover. Big respect to the young lady with blonde hair for exploring the lower range of her vocals.
Personally I think it’s lacking the bite and the energy but pretty good these kid are miles better than me when I was their age
Incredible! Fantastic! All the superlatives! What a choice, too. How do high school kids in the 21st century even know about this song?
A tricky one to cover . Well done in even attempting this !
Genius. Great playing by the band. My kids play in bands at dalkeith, Scotland. Keep on rocking

Fabulous well done 👍 I’m so happy to see these young children performing the greatest music from the greatest rock band ever 👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing! Curious if they knew subject matter!
A very gutsy choice, and well played gentler take. Love the way the guitarist toward the left has on a target t-shirt, too. Good going, kids!
It is pretty faithful to the album version on "A Quick One" It is much more laid back than the live versions that people are more familiar with.
That`s fantastic! Respect for the young people!

SUPERB! WHO WOULD'VE KNOWN AT LEAST ONE OF THEM KNEW THAT SONG! WELL DONE!!
I do!
I was 13 years old when I bought that album. Not much younger than them. Challenging, but you cracked it.
What ambition to take on a monster of a song like this.
Just discovered this
Brilliant!!!!!
The Sweetest part of this version is ..... You made it
yours ! Fantastic all the way around ! Keep up the great
work young ones ! ☺🙌
Thank you! Its great. Greetings from Germany👍👍☃🎅
Going for the deep cuts. Not an easy song to pull off. Well done.
Fantastic. I was in stage band at this age. .
Love the drums.
Certainly an A+ for effort! Great to see the young generation being musically enlightened!
wow The Who will be so proud of you guys!
I love it! This is my all time favorite who song and few people have ever heard of it. Good job.
Awesome Beautiful 💖

this needs way more views
Fantastic rendition. Good work!
not quite aggressive enough, but for them to even attempt it, kind of validates me as a WHO fan. BRAVO!
What a great cover. Well done
well done young people fantastic good to see the younger generation appreciate good music Pete and the roger would be proud as the late great Keith and john would to
Remind me to donate to the Chicago School of Rock!
They have a scholarship fund for kids who would like to learn music whose parents can't afford it.
Well done. Pete Townshend would be proud
Keith and John wouldn’t 😂
nah probably not
Peter is not proud of himself

Very good wish I was that standard ❤
That was amazing ! These kids done the Who justice , well done !
Goose bumps in the closing You Are Forgiven section
Awesome!!
kids did a great job but the fact that the drummer is playing this straight and not " Moonie" style makes a bit of a difference
Rick Lynch Remember what Moon said, that he was "the best Keith Moon style drummer in the world." The kids style is closer to Kenny Jones.
She's got all the time in the world.
wonderful that these kids would even do this. My fav Who version is the one from the Rolling Stone Circus.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Playing it Moon style might be part of the Doctoral recital.
It ain’t easy to play like Moon. The guy was a human avalanche! One of a kind.
Great choice of music and so is your performance.
Brilliant. I wonder Ifany of them know the story behind the "cello cello cello" lines .
Really fun! Nice job!
Amo o the who!!!!
Essa música é perfeita!!!
Ótimo cover!!!!!!!
Nice cover.
The melody you chose is excellent.
LOVE THIS!!!!!
Bravo Great Job!
Bravo, really good cover of a brilliant song :)
Great cover of a hard classic to cover
Nicely done--bravo!
LONG LIVE THE WHO!!!! The kids were certainly alright. 🤘
Wow! Well done to all involved. Keith Moon is looking down in absolute joy when he watches that drummer!
Sammy Sue no he’s not😂
Awesome job!
Congratulations!! Amazing Cover!!
great rendition
This is HOPE!

MidWest Concert Video really? Cause the drummer sucked no offense I thought she was the worst member of the band by far
Nice job, young men and ladies.

Great cover
You kids are alright!
Wow. Anything bad in the future anyone of y'all do will, in fact, be forgiven. Terrific.
Bravo
Awesome band!
A brave and ambitious song choice, nice harmonies, just a little lacking in that trademark ferocious energy the Who were so renowned for!
Great!
BRAVO!
The who glee version
At least they’re playing instruments.
Hermosas excelente cover
Great to see the kids go for it! I try at the age of 69.
Heh heh. "69."
Great drummer!
