Sometimes it really makes me sad how much music sucks nowadays.... Then I stumble on this video, see these kids having the time of their life enjoying playing Maiden, and then I smile, because I know there's hope for the future, thank you guys... You Rock!

@@Oh_its_Mike You’re being facetious or have tin ear. To say that today’s music sucks is a huge understatement. It’s not even music. It’s sounds generated by “musicians.” At least pop music. There is some jazz that is decent.

Stars of this cover are the bassist and drummer hands down. They are in perfect sync just holding that rhythm section down like champs. The keys player is also clearly having a blast. Great job!

Who else said SCREAM FOR ME when the right time of the song came? 😁 Kudos to all the performers, it's always a pleasure to watch young people playing this masterpiece. (I have a doubt though, is it possible there's a little bit of autotune on the vocals in some points? Dunno if it's to provide a specific effect or what).
No Emanuele, gli IM non hanno mai usato autotune, anche adesso Dickinson canta live senza artifici , nel bene e nel male ( la sua voce ovviamente non è più quella di un tempo) .Purtroppo in questo caso è stata una scelta della scuola penso . Tra l’altro hanno compresso e normalizzato la voce rendendola talmente intubata da essere un corpo estraneo rispetto la musica , un vero peccato perché gli strumenti non hanno un suono troppo compresso e iper pompato ( e ci sta visto che è un pezzo degli IM dell’82 )

@@EmanueleCorsi no ma hai sentito bene la ragazza è stata ritoccata pesante. È bruce che non usa artifici. Per quanto riguarda i Dream theater sono un fan sfegatato ma solo fino a octavarium , sono super contento che portony sia tornato a casa , poiché mancava il suo tocco ma soprattutto il suo songwriting. nei Dream purtroppo il problema è la voce di Labrie che dopo il suo problema alle corde vocali non si è curato ed è sempre peggiorato , molti adesso lo chiamano il Gallinaceo. Comunque se ti piace Bruce ascolta il suo nuovo singolo dal nuovo album solista ( the mandrake Project) che uscirà fra 2 mesi con Roy Z alla chitarra, buono ma il problema sono i suoi acuti che purtroppo vengono stracciati ( io avrei puntato Molto di più sull’interpretazione che a lui non manca ) .

As someone who's favorite metal band has been Iron Maiden since 1982, I was not disappointed. Clive Burr was an amazing drummer, and this youngster nailed it. Bravo.
I've just listened to this for probably the 10th time in the last few days, and I simply cannot express how impressive this is.
That is one epic and challenging song to perform, and these kids never missed a beat.
The drummer, in particular, seemed to be having a blast.
Just a superb job everyone.
I appreciate their iteration is close to the original recording with tone and notes, and tempo - they dont rush it!. I've always thought DM's solo take on the album was the best ever, not his live improvisations. This lot of kids did a fantastic job of covering this classic.
I´m not a fan of maiden but they have some tunes that I love, and this is one of them. Those harmonies makes me shiver. I cant determine if this version differs from the original but I think it was performed perfect :
As a long time Maiden fan I've gotta say that was bloody amazing! Really hope at least one of the musicians in that clip sees this comment because I really wanna say you can ALL hold your heads high and smile knowing that you did yourselves proud in your performance of one of the most outstanding rock classics of all time.
And I must add that special credit must surely go to the drummer? I don't know what your name is young man but to do what you just did on that kit is quite simply ASTONISHING! Much respect to you Sir!!!

Agree, they all show impressive skills and talent! And I guess all students not always like the songs they perform but they deliver anyway. That is true musicianship. I can´t play songs I dont like and have been playing 30 years!

The strongest part here is the voice... especially when the fast part of the song is playing.. The guitarists are also cool, but the voice is very honey.

@@familiacantoszaragoza793 Absolutely, they're just kids without unlimited studio time to find the perfect take. And yet, the singer's vocal timbre and sensibility brings out a different emotional perspective to the song that I find very refreshing and enjoyable.
@@LeandroBaca i think that using autotune in a music school is a mistake. In deed, if the girl do some errors during the perfomance thats right, there IS no need to hide them. Just show what she can do without manipulate her voice. That's what learning its all about, in my opinion.

Another long time, middle aged maiden fan here. It takes such talent, and more importantly, hard work and practice to play this classic so well. And the singer’s final part of the classic Bruce intro scream at 1m 18s made me cry with joy. Epic work.

Wow! All of these guys and gals slayed this classic! The drummer is superb, keeping the tempo throughout...this is not an easy song to drum, tempo changes and unique fills. He nailed it! All.of them were outstanding!

Applause and cheers from the audience for this!!! You can tell these young people are having a blast from the past. Musically speaking, every instrument player in this arrangement are and HAVE to be fully engaged, mentally and physically. Theres alot going on at once. 3 guitarists have to remain in sync and in harmony while each playing a seperate arrangement of chords and notes, the bassist has to remain in sync at a different harmony level, the drummer has to keep the beat while adding in the flair, the lyricist has to carry vocal tones that glue everyone together. Absolutely well done! its rare to see any modern musicians performing at this level, yet these youngsters effin SLAM it!!!

Man, these kids are talented! This song came out when I was a young teenager. Iron Maiden was only "popular" with a certain type of kid....and we loved them. This song is so intelligent and dark hitting deep into the psyche. These musicians hit it out of the park..and that girl singing can belt it out. Bravo.

I love the fact that they did this as the current Maiden lineup with three guitars, instead of the original which only has Dave Murray & Adrian Smith. Just give the song a more kick ass sound.
