This comment is from a life-long metal head of 52 years and musician of 37 years . I found this thru watching your reaction videos which I absolutely love. I had no idea what I would come to find with your compositions and cannot keep from crying. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. This is truly what Angels sing. God has given you a great gift, Doug - a blessing . He is strong with you. Please continue to glorify Him with your music.
Beautiful textures, Doug. The use of tension, tessitura and sustained dissonance; the questing counterpoint, as the voices search for each other. An illuminating setting.
Wonderful! Beautiful! I think to the Gregorio Allegri's Miserere...... I like your deep knowledge of Harmony and human voices! From swiss-italian musician to american musician sincerely! Ciao
Doug I don't know where else to write, but I enjoy you commenting on prog videos. Please, if you have time, do one on either Fracture or Larks' Tongues in Aspic II by King Crimson. They are musical heroes. Thanks
I love this piece Doug. I'm a sucker for gorgeous etherial harmonious choral music. Thanks for you analysis of many of today's bands. Would you please be so kind as to do an analysis of Jimi Hendrix's 'Electric Ladyland'. This album was way ahead of its time and still sounds like something from the future. The young musical genius Jimi who had no knowledge of reading music or musical theory or advanced studio gadgetry of today's studios composed this masterpiece and playing nearly all the instruments on there except drums and some keyboards and sax. Maybe you could breakdown 'Long Hot Summer Night' or 'House Burning Down' but especially '1983, A Merman I Turn To Be'. I'm sure many music lovers would appreciate this. Thank you, John Berry.
After all this time with the channel experience. Are you ready to compose integrating drums, guitar? It can be a nice experiment from which a new spark emerges.
NICE. It was about time i found the patience to get around your maze of "Reactions to..." and onto one of your own Works. At last, i am only too happy to find you are legit... and sufficiently talented to shoulder the pretense. So now, i can go back and watch the Reaction Series and stop wondering if perhaps 'you had not just recently discovered those records...and would like us to believe, you are a 'RUclips Classical Composer kind of'. Enough said. I so definitely enjoyed your very suave transport of Silvestri's words, i came back for a third read. Please let us on to more of your Works. ...wishing you good health and inspiration.
Gorgeous work. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on the choral works of Eric Whitacre and the increasingly common addition on tonal clusters in choral compositions.
Awfully androgynous pitch and notations, also lack of melodic change. Don't quit your day job, take some lessons and you might be able to make something of yourself bud
can we get Iron Maiden reacting to some of your music?! :)

💥😎💥Doug, your compositions are Glorious, I have been meaning to look into them...I am quite impressed - Best Regards!💥!
Gorgeous piece of choral work. The human voice is the purest of all instruments.
Wonderful saved to my 20th century and beyond playlist, ty Sir.

This is so beautiful, thank you for sharing. I found this composition through your Nightwish reaction video and oh my it's like being in heaven.
This is nothing to do with the youtuber, he's a fraud.
@@mythbuster1437 How do you figure?
Found this via your 2112 reaction video, but love choral music too. :) Lovely! Thank you so much. :)

Beautiful piece of art.
bullshit
Happy to see your own stuff up on here as well. I was curious about what you'd made. Sounds lovely.

This sounds like prairie optimistic Vespers like Rachmaninov went west! I genuinely adore this

Bravo!! Bravíssimo!!
This is awesome :)
Quite beautiful! I'm a bit sad tho...it's COVID & our Maui Choral Arts music director moved back to NYC. This would be a lovely piece for us to do. 😭
Thank you for the music, Doug. Such a beautiful piece. Is there an original record of this?

Wow
Complimenti Dear Doug!
rubbish, it's crap and this guy is a fraud.
Doug, this is absolutely GORGEOUS. Thank you for putting this up!
cool 👍
I was expecting something really dissonant, this is he complete opposite. what a pleasant surprise.
Very well done!
Great music for insomniacs. Largely uninspiring. Background music for any run of the mill sad moment in a made for TV movie.
Kinda knock-offy. Might as well be Ave Maria mixed with Monty Python
This isn't your music !
is he plagarizing?
If you don’t cite what he is supposedly plagiarizing, you just come off as a troll
Then who wrote it?
Awfully androgynous pitch and notations, also lack of melodic change. Don't quit your day job, take some lessons and you might be able to make something of yourself bud
Who hurt you?
This is absolutely gorgeous...I could hear Chanticleer performing this piece, have you ever reached out to them?
