  • Micro intruder may sound like an oxymoron. This is a single station version of the typically double station intruder. Utilizing minimal materials, and a waddington shank this fly can get down but still has the movement and big profile like the larger similar patterns.
    Shank - 25mm waddington Shank - www.partridge-of-redditch.co.u...
    Hook - Z4 Intruder hook - www.partridge-of-redditch.co.u...
    Body - Opal Mylar tinsel
    Shoulder - Arctic Fox
    Rubber legs
    Hackle - Schlappen

    You can keep your bread bag twisty ties to use where you used the lead wire to hold back the sili-legs, as well. Nice fly.

      What were you gonna tie a few of ? Whats your top producing fly's for
      steelhead ? Please forward some patterns & pictures or videos. Thank you
      very much. Kevin Stevens.

    Every fish i got last year, king,coho,steelhead was on a orange woolly bugger with flash in it.This intruder would be even better! partridge hooks are a must, don't use cheap hooks the big boys will bend them! always sharpen hooks with sharpener til they are razor sharp!

      Thanks for checking out the video. You could easily add some flash to this pattern if you wanted, but the body being wrapped with the Opal mylar really gives some shine

    INTERESTING! I like it a lot. This would challenge me a bit. What are your thoughts on using this as a trolling fly for trout like a Frisky Jenny? Could be very productive! 👍👍👍

    • @KevinHospodar
      @KevinHospodar  5 лет назад

      Yeah, I don't see why it wouldn't work. It was designed to be swung on a tight line, so trolling could work.

    Great pattern, smart use of materials. Any chance you have some tank footage to show how it swims?

    where did you get that dubbing tool. looks like it works well.

    • @KevinHospodar

      It was a cheap/generic one. Just a lead base and a hook to hold thread. There are some really great options now... i'm going to be doing a video on loop, i'll pass along the link. Thanks for checking out the video!

    Quick question... how would this do for bass? Almost reminds me of a spinner type bait.

    • @KevinHospodar
      @KevinHospodar  6 лет назад

      i'm sure this would catch bass! you could tie it on a long shank stream hook of you wanted

  • @Taylor_in_Southern_Oregon
    @Taylor_in_Southern_Oregon 4 года назад

    You made the fireline loop too short to change the hook.

      I never swap hooks, I think its a great idea in theory but serves me no purpose in the real world... been tying and fishing stinger style heavily since 2007 and never had a fly that I needed to swap a hook.
