This reminds me of what California should have been able to do a long time ago but couldn’t because of overwhelming democrat and liberal environmentalist’s ideas and policies , all the while not wanting to realize that by expanding their cities and neighborhoods has had more of a negative impact on the environment than any reservoir ever could do. It’s had literally the opposite effect on the environment than what they were hoping for. The results they are living with now are, less water, more expensive water, more fire danger, and surface water flooding we continue to see in California because of the lack of reservoirs able to hold all of it and preserve it. And it’s this same sort of mentality with forest conservation and wildfire there. Environmentalist have been forced now to accept that what they thought was the best way to manage the forests in California were absolutely wrong, and proven now by the devastating wildfires there. This also proves that thinking emotionally and narrow minded about issues like this will get you similar results in other areas of governance as well.

Forgot to ask question about when the reservoirs go very low, and they will, who's water do they steal/compete for at hat point?Everyone in this area needs to be continually monitoring and learning every detail about the Lake Meade problems over the last 5 years
So we have worked with the Washington County Water Conservancy District. There is enough water to support up to 600,000 people right NOW and we were told it’s unfortunately been turned into a political issue when it isn’t for the next 50+ years. They told us the issue is when we grow to over 600,000 people then we will have water issues that’s why right NOW they are building more reservoirs and tax new home construction for the Lake Powell pipeline so our kids and grandchildren will have enough water past 50 years from now when we are more than 600,000 people. This was a conversation we had with the head of the Water Conservancy District. We are actually working with them right now in building a water tower for a development. Also Utah just hit a 15 year record for the most water we had in our reservoirs and for the first time in decades most of the state other than the Moab area is out of a Drought as of the “Utah Division of Water Resources June 2024 update” so please be careful reading about water in the news for this area.
What about just having natural landscaping like Kayenta?? We need vegetation to help keep us cooler, not to mention homes for the wildlife. If we have nothing but rocks and asphalt, we’re just going to get hotter and hotter. I do have rockscape myself, and would love to have a more natural yard.
That ship has sailed, no pun intended. That pipeline will not happen in our lifetime. Anyone who says otherwise is selling unrealistic dreams & wishes, or blissfully ignorant.
Th dry reservoir in Ivins is extremely concerning. It is a sewage collection point and one has never been placed in a residential area before. Chemicals and sewage right there in Kayenta. They are not swimable etc
I went through this a few months back and it really must be a device thing or something. We've changed the settings to where it can barely be heard on the 15 devices I've tried myself. I'm not going to remove it completely tho as it is awkward silence without the background sound. I do appreciate the feedback tho

How about tapping into our underwater wells? There is no reason for that pipeline when we have water right underneath our feet.
