I had innerspring mattress growing up and loved the bounce but as I grew and got heavier the springs became uncomfortable at times. Then, I bought a memory foam mattress and it was decent. Recently, I replaced the memory foam mattress with a Sealy Posturepedic premier hybrid series copper cushion firm (2nd hand from craigslist for $200/originally $1,200) and have been liking it so far. It has pocketed coils and memory foam on top! BTW, I share it with my 4 yr old son and gf and we all like it!
I prefer foam mattress without memory, the memory foam is pleasant only until you try to turn then you find out you can not get out of the hole that you has sink into. Memory foam is also to hot for me with makes me sink in even deeper (gets even softer when it gets hot)...
Oh man I will give innerspring a try, it looks exactly like the type of mattress I really want! I have already tested 2 different foam mattresses (1 very cheap one and a relatively expensive "high quality" orthopedic one), and they do sink and it may sound nice and all but when you are 100kg+ like me that is not a feature you want, the foam will not go back into shape after a while because I am too heavy, meaning I will have a mattress with a hole in the middle... I will give a try to inner-spring mattresses because they look exactly like the type of mattress I want, very solid and stable for my body weight ! :D
I experience numbness on my arms, shoulders, back, rear and legs on whichever side I lay on. With my current 8 inch foam mattress I just sink almost down to the wooden base. I can't sit in bed or lay on my back without my back and rear going numb. Any body part I lay on goes partly numb from the pressure of my mattress. What kind of spring or hybrid mattress offers the best support to prevent sinking too far, but still soft enough to not add more pressure causing numbness?

I love how you go in to so much detail and dont just gloss over things. My wife bought a memory foam mattress. I have been doing my best to sleep on it. She loves it, I can't stand it! It is like trying to sleep on a rock. It is not soft at all. She had to add 2 mattress covers in order for me to even attempt to sleep on it. I still sleep on the edge of the mattress with a pillow under my body. I hate this thing so much. Don't get one!
Innersprings sink in to though, sometimes more depending on the coil strength. So I wonder why. In fact I got a nectar mattress and couldn’t believe it was firmer and more supportive than my old inner spring beauty rest was.
I dont think ive tried laying on a memory foam for a significant amount of time but i dont think i would like it. That sinkage would give me anxiety when sleeping. I dont like the feeling of me sinking into my bed or my bed slowly wrapping around me. I have plenty of time for that when im dead thank you very much.
Memory foam mattress. Took a few nights to get used to. Love it, best nights sleep. My question is can a memory foam mattress be rotated, or not like a spring mattress?
I have a bigger problem owing to health issues a foam matterss is absolutely no good for curvature of the spine leaning to the left and a none operable arthritic right hip and partial removal of cartilage from right knee ,plus ulcerated ankles and odema in both legs ,so I bought a Dolmeo mattress hoping it would be of help but I have an Electric bed to help me with all my health issues and I can't have a spring mattress because the springs would not conform to the movement of the bed .Most of my time is sat on the edge of the bed as not able to lay on it for no longer than a couple of hours as not able to move once I am in a dip it is like trying to go uphill where the mattress has made me in a dip plus I find it too hot which makes sweaty and itchy. On top of all that by sitting on the side there is no support and the foam just disappears and I am left with the backs of my legs pressing against the frame of the bed ,so does any one have a solution to a big problem for me as not able to walk yet due to the odema stopping the ulcers from healing on both ankles.I just wish there was a solution that would not cost a fortune as a pension does not help in a situation like this.!! Thanks for reading this I guess there are other people who have similar problems,God Bless you all.June xx

Buy the spring bed. Foam mattresses are a scam and breed mold even if you buy the most expensive mattress cover, keep your mattress aired out in the sun on warm days, and keep all your sheets clean.
