I created a prototype of a modern Star Wars fighting game - In this guide I'll go into how to perform special moves and combos for the next four characters on the roster - Obi Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, Anakin Skywalker and Count Dooku! You'll also see some new footage of The Mandalorian fighting Moff Gideon with the Darksaber on the new Nevarro stage!

Continuing from the last video on character thoughts:
-I noticed how Obi-Wan is the only character so far that has two special moves (not counting Anakin's command normal slash). His play-style seems to be zoning with the mind trick and push in order to set up surprise combos with his super. So he's versatile enough to switch from defensive and aggressive play as you need.
-Maul absolutely should be a rush down character. It's interesting that his saber throw is different than Vader's by covering more of the screen. I wonder if this could be balanced so that Maul's saber throw has some anti-air capabilities but has less range than Vader's, maybe even do a second hit.
-Since Anakin's pull doesn't cost meter like Kylo Ren's I wonder how it's balanced or could be balanced to be weaker. Maybe it does less damage or doesn't have as much launch potential. I do like that his play-style looks similar to Kylo's but with more focus on juggling, and maybe the maelstrom can do more raw damage to contrast with Obi-Wan's combo potential. Also in terms of potential expanded movesets I feel like Obi-Wan and Anakin could be shotos, the Ken and Akuma to Luke's Ryu. Though that doesn't necessarily mean fitting those roles one to one since you seem to have already found interesting enough gimmicks for them.
-Dooku I'm a bit unsure about. Like Vader I don't know what being unable to duck means for his balancing and on top of that not having a launcher. I do think he should be a combo machine like Karin in SFV so giving him a killer ground game makes sense. The lightning in it's current form seems a bit superfluous to his play-style so maybe it could have a very brief stun period to set up combos?
Also I have a thought about projectile attacks and how they can be made more distinct. Pull, mind trick, and freeze have pretty noticeable effects so I'll focus on the ones that mainly do damage. Push seems like it will be a very common move on the roster so it could be like a typical fireball in that it moves across the screen but at certain rate and can be hopped over, also it seems like knockback is a given. Saber throws are boomerangs that may or may not have as much range as a fireball but could move faster than fireballs and hit on the return. Lightning could be beam projectiles like Cyclop's Optic Blast that reach the other side of the screen almost instantly but require a frame of wind up and last shorter than fireballs or boomerangs. You obviously don't need to take my suggestions but I hope this helps your work on the project.

I must say your game looks fantastic, you have come a long way since the last time I talked to you. One thing I wanted to mention, I know you probably already know, but do you plan to add special intro dialogue against each other? Like example Luke against Vader? Also I don't know if I said this enough but, this game is great.
Thanks! Contextual intro dialog is a feature that could certainly be added at some point.

Maybe, those appearances are really great! As for Sidious, it would require a whole new playstyle if he had sabers, but you never know.

Hey lastjawa, hopefully u can implement these in the next update if possible at all? I'm using an Xbox one controller to play.
1: change graphic settings.
2: allow control customization
There will be no fallback for low end systems until it is in Beta, if you click the input tab when you start the game you should be able to customize controls.
@@Lastjawa what I mean is for eg button 1 is labeled as low kick etc. Cause right now it's Abit hard to customize based on button 1,button 2. Oh and btw great game! Been following this since it came out and hopefully u can add more characters and develop this more. This is a star wars combat game every star wars fan has been waiting for.
