Shadow of Rome is such an underrated game. Even through it was a brutal hack and slash it still managed to be a charming and engaging game. While the stealth sections definitely aren't my favorite part of the game, it worked well towards pushing the story forward, and keeping the story engaging and on track. About the only minor thing I didn't like about the game was the Team Battles. Oh man did I always hate those battles. The only easy-ish way I've found to beat them is to go and wound the opponents immediately and hope they don't end up getting themselves killed. As that allows just enough time to destroy all of their statues before they can destroy all of yours. Although this method doesn't work well on the extreme mode setting. Otherwise, it's a great game that I've occasionally played time and time again throughout the years. It's such a shame that it wasn't a memorable hit and a best seller.
I've always look at this game in awww as a child. Now in my 30s I walked into a GameStop yesterday and I picked it up used for $15. And I'm having a blast right now. Had to pull out the backwards compatible PS3 for this one.
Thanks for bringing this interesting game to our attention. It's great to see fellow Greeks being creative in this platform. I hope that your channel continues to grow!
Maaan, i used to love this game! I only ever played the first few levels because I couldnt get very far, but man were they a great few levels. You should try Spartan: Total Warrior too
