Yes we have fenty and fashion fair at sephora, but we also have Danessa Myricks, Pat McGrath and LYS Beauty! Of course there's room for Sephora to do more (and I'd love for these brands to actually be carried in stores 🙄) but Ami Cole is in good company. I'd love to see more full face of Black owned brand vids! Especially now that LYS just dropped lip products.
I saw original shade of Ami Cole lip oil in Hannah Louise Poston's videos, she loves it too. If this brand comes to European Sephora I will probably buy their lip oil. Translucent powder looks amaizing too.
Hi Tina, being a caregiver, I hardly have time to take a break, but when I can I tell myself , "let me see if Tina has posted any new videos". I'm happy when you do, it is a nice break from my day. I never heard of this brand, so thanks for the review. This makeup seems to love your skin, looks really good on you. I really want to try it out. Are you planning to do any nail videos?
So glad you introduced us to a brand I didn't know about. The products seem really good. More people need to know about them. Please keep us updated on them.
You are just SUPER, Tina. Wonderful video highlighting this brand. I’ve never heard of them. I will definitely try some of the products. What a great way to start off Black History Month!❤️👏🏾❤️👏🏾❤️. Thank you!🥰
BLACK HISTORY YEAR!!!🖤🖤🖤 Looking good! The brand story is wonderful! Nice that the shade match was so spot on…and that all 3 powders worked. HLP really loves the Excellence lip oil, so I heard of the brand first through her, one of the very palest folx around! I hope the products continue to work well for you!💙💙💙
I LOVE Ami Cole's original lip treatment oil, and I just got the new Bliss shade which is gorgeous too. I don't usually go for volumizing mascaras, but theirs is really pretty. Their brushes are amazing too. I really want to try their brow products, translucent powder and the brand new cherry tinted lip oil.
You had me DYING when you were putting on that mascara :) Jump cut WHO? Mascaragate WHO? You are the best! Loved this video. Everything looked great on you.
Girl. Don't even mention that awful name. I bought 4 kits. The clean beauty code turned me on to Ami Cole. I cant wait to try goodies. As a tanned women of color I could not find a shade match for 20 years. I barely wore a base color. Our local shoppers drug mart used to carry 20 different shades of beige. My wedding day photo is done with a darker shade of beige. My shade was never carried and it made me feel like beauty wasn't meant for me. I didnt know how to shade match 10 plus years ago. I am so glad brands are evolving. I am part of the beauty spectrum. It makes me feel so welcome. 💕💕💕
Tina....I loved the excitement you had for testing these products. However, I'm heading over to Sephora now. 😂😂 Lash girl who? Ardell who? 😂😂 This is such a good review as always! Thank you....now let me add to cart.
Love the color of the packaging. Definitely loved how your skin looked after application. And wondering if that mascara would make my struggle lashes real. 😂
these products look sooo nourishing, I am very intrigued! For sure adding at least 1 lip oil to my sephora basket lol the smitten gloss looked soooo good on you💜💜 and your skin looks beautiful, balanced hydration-wise, healthy. and your lashes look pretty incredible. i am SO intrigued!!!!
Hey Tina, hey girl hey! Love the Malcolm X tee! He's one of my idols btw. Will be trying out Ami Cole for sure. Love the video girl , for the culture indeed.
Thank you for doing a dedicated video to this brand! I’d never heard of them, but will definitely be getting multiple products from them! Your in depth reviews are always appreciated!
Thank you I have the same complexion as you and it’s hard to find makeup. gurrrl this make up looks natural n nice. It’s the no clumps mascara for me. Nice review❤
Man this line looks amazing!! I’ll definitely recommend the complexion products to my MIL and 2 coworkers which had ask recently for recommendations for lighter coverage. I know they’re loads for my tone but maybe someday I can try there line as I love skin tinte!! But I’ll grab the lip oils.
Thank you so much for this review and info! I’m so curious about the products being manufactured in Italy, so many brands manufacture in China (which can require animal testing). I wonder why she chose Italy. I can’t wait to purchase :) the blush sticks are calling me ❤
You are so welcome! Italian factories are renowned for high quality formulae. To clarify, China’s animal testing is required only for products imported into and sold in mainland China. However, products manufactured in China but exported are not required to do animal testing.
Thank you for sharing this line. I will be breaking my "No Spend" for this everyday, no makeup, makeup. I can not wait to get in to Sephora. I hope to find it (in store) to test out for the proper shade(s).
Not enough products for deeply melanated skin? I really hope new Black owned brands would ditch this justification. It's getting old. While yes some brands do still ignore deeper skin tones, there are plenty of brands already on the market that have addressed this problem (Danessa, Fenty, Fashion Fair, Mented, Juvias Place, Black Opal, Black Radiance…to name a few). Even some of the larger/older brands have shown significant improvements in their shade ranges over the past few years. It’s totally okay to say you’re launching a brand because you have a passion for beauty and feel like you have something to contribute to the industry (or any other reason). Just my opinion
Most of those brands you mentioned are smaller brands that are not readilly available for everyone especially outside the US.. And also you might look at a shade range and you think it is a good shade range when in reality a lot of melanated skinned people don't find their shades.. and that only applies to foundations..when it comes to bronzers and highlighters and other types of complexion products there is still a lack of inclusivity.. On top of that lately brands are starting to release bad shade ranges again unfortanately
Another thing I have noticed in shade ranges from non black owned brands is that they release a foundation with 40 shades.. At first glance it looks inclusive.. But when you look closely you see that they Provide a lot of variety in tones and undertones for light and medium shades.. But when you come to the deeper shades there is a lot of jumps and weird undertones.. Finding a good shade match for people with medium deep skin tones and deeper with the right tone and undertone is still a struggle in most complexion products
@Afoora Amoora I hear ya. I'm a Medium Deep complexion (Mac NC44/NC45) so nowhere near the deepest shade in most lines, and I STILL sometimes have a hard time finding my perfect shade. Fenty for example, doesn't have my shade and the formula sucks. So I think there will always someone who can't find their shade or have access to certain brands but that is not a big problem nowadays thanks to all the BO brands that have launched in the last few years and some legacy brands stepping up. Put it this way, someone with a dark/deep complexion walks into Ulta or Sephora will have many options and brands to choose from.
This comment is incredibly short sighted. Yes there are a handful of classic brands that catered to Black skin, like Black radiance and Fashion Fair, but they account for a infinitesimal amount of market share and often *still* lacked nuanced undertones in many products. Fenty changed the game in many ways by having such a huge and inclusive range of shades and putting many other brands on notice, but that was in 2017, only 6 years ago. That also happens to be the same year Mented was founded. It only takes a scroll on Instagram to find that Ami Cole as a brand has *also* existed since 2017 with posts including prototypes of products. So when the founder came up with the brand, the options for deep skin were still deplorable. And still are among many "clean beauty" brands. Just because it took them getting into Sephora for you to know about them doesn't mean that they haven't been around filling a need in the beauty space.
VIRTUAL HUGGGGGS 2 THE FANCY❤️ FAM¡!!! I 🙏🏾 PRAY ALL IS WELL....🤎 🎼Brown Skin Gurlll. DA'BEST THING IN THE 🌎 WORLD I'LL NEVA TRADE IT FOR ANYBODY ELSE🎼🤎...🥳IT'S AQUARIUS SEASON 🎂🎉!!!! 😘💋
I’m glad they made it to Sephora stores because this line is so good I used to cut the skin tint bottom to get product until my next shipment lol
Not in Canada. We need ami cole in Canada Sephora
We need them in Canada 🇨🇦
@@northernrokz79 Yes, agreed! We're getting Glossier in Sephora Canada this month, sooo ... I hope this one will come to Canada sooner!

Wow. The finish on that skin tint and concealer is SPECTACULAR. Absolutely beautiful!

Thank you so much for sharing. I did buy the power. I love it! I'm going to purchase all of it.
Hello Tina! Sending you a warm hug. Thank you for the support on your last video (in the comments).💚 P.D. The color of the packaging is beautiful!😍😃
I have all of their products and I'm hooked!
They are so good!
The powders look really nice! I was hoping the concealer would be more full coverage for my needs, but it looks good on you. The mascara was giving!

Are you going to throw away your Gigablack now?
Why would I do such a thing?
