Welcome to the seventh edition of our Arkonik Difference build series. This week, we shine the light on our Assembly Department. Featuring interior trim and refit with Assembly Supervisor, Richard James.
Upon entering the Assembly Department as a rolling chassis, our Defenders are completely transformed into the finished product. From insulation and carpeting to dashboard trim and water testing; every part of the refit is done in-house, with support from our seat manufacturer and upholsterers.
From my point of view, what makes an Arkonik Defender is the people who build them. There's not one truck that leaves Assembly that the builder doesn't love.

We create bespoke Defenders to our clients' exacting specifications, with hundreds of trucks thus far, imported and titled in North America.
Authenticity is at the heart of everything we do, whether it’s an urban 110 station wagon, a classic 90 soft-top We then use a protective braiding over the outside of all wiring to protect it from both rubbing and abrasion. To finish the looms we use waterproof, sealed connectors, providing a high-quality reliable connection.
Also, due to modern technology, we are now able to utilize smaller wires with the same performance. In addition, we change the entire fuse box and relay wiring to accommodate optional extras, increasing from the original 20 fuses to 60 if required.
Everything is built and tailored from brand new components to match each vehicle's individual specification.or a mighty 130, the same ground-up restoration and build ethic is applied.

Wow, I have to wonder if Land Rover put such care and effort into making the Defender in Solihull, would that plant still be open?
