I am so glad that you reviewed this printer. Like you I was a Bambu fanboy, but when they started to gaslight their customers I knew that I could never trust anything that they said or did ever again. Then I came across this Qidi Plus4 printer and started doing some research on it. I noticed that it has been nominated for Printer of the Year, so I took a chance and bought one. Now after having it for a couple of months, I am so glad that I bought it. The build quality is actually better than the Bambu, and the prints look amazing. I hope more companies come out with printers like this. As soon as Qidi releases their AMS for this printer I will be buying one, and then Bambu will forever be in my rearview mirror. Thank you Qidi 👍
That line at the back of the benchy isn’t a fault of the printer. It’s the Z seam, and specifically the layout QIDIs presliced benchy has. Reslice your own benchy and you won’t have that issue. Your printer is fine!
Also remember to print PLA with lid off or door open just like Bambu

I've had my plus4 for a couple months now and it has been pretty amazing. Some parts issues replaced under warranty practically no questions asked. But print quality is top notch and it is an ABS beast.
I also was lucky enough to win their Qidi Box aka multicolor so excited to get that in. Whenever that is.
Also, many years ago when I started my RUclips channel, my name was Wills Workshop. So seeing your name immediately had me hooked haha
Other creators turn on Bamboo labs and I finally get you recommended in my algorithm. Our household just got our first 3D printer.

Congrats on your new Plus 4 this is an amazing printer. Be sure when printing PLA and PETG you remove top and always keep door cracked open very important on larger print you will clog nozzle.
My favorite materials to print are ABS rapid and some engineering grade GF materials and ASA. I also do tons of large statues in the Overture Marble rock Series matte PLA and their multi red and brown color rock series that look amazing for a gridfinity tool box and landscape. You will love this printer. I love quality of prints with the Tungsten nozzle. I have many hrs on this machine and absolutely love it.
They include larger spool in files on drive print this soon as possible very handy. Your benchy shows printed with top on and door closed, got too hot which will lead to nozzle clog.
Wellllllll speaking of clogged nozzles..... lol I got it bad!

If you get a chance in future try out the Overture ROCK series PLA on AMazon comes in a beautiful Marble and also my favorite is a red, brown, multi color rock series from them.Looks great for storage container......Enjoy your printer! I did just add the tungsten nozzle and wow what a difference in my prints compared to the normal bimetal nozzle...

I am still researching for my next printer. At this stage waiting for the new Bambu Labs to be revealed but watching reviews of others in the meantime and shortlisting the ones I think may be in the running.
Looks like a great printer. I think running a farm it'll be easier on you to run the same printers to make your extra parts go farther

Just got my first bambu machine (x1c) a few months ago... Love it, but already have my eye on my next potential addition to my shop. Waiting to see what bambus next big flagship is before I buy my next machine though.

Awesome video! I've been starting to have issues with my P1S and after everything going on, I was thinking of getting a different printer. This one has definitely been on the top of my list and I think I just might have to pull the trigger on it.
I primaly print in PET-CF for my products and the QIDIs have for sure caught my eyes for my next printed coming out of the box ready to do that and can go hotter than my Bambus

that line on the back of the 3d benchy is a seam line so dont worry about it, just slise your own version and all gona be good

I ❤ my QIDI PLUS4 and X-MAX3. After a few hiccups they are both printing like a perfect dream. I’ve added the BIQU CryoGrip™ Pro Glacier Build Plate for Voron 300, & Qidi Plus 4. What a difference it makes when printing PCTG, QIDI Orderless ABS, Nylon and Carbon Fiber filaments. I have upgraded the back motherboard fan housing to the GDSTIME 80mm x 80mm x 25mm 24V Brushless DC Cooling Fan. I’m in the process of upgrading to the Beacon3D Rev H probe to simplify the bed scanning and z-offset. Don’t pass up on the QIDI PLUS4. ❤❤❤

Don't panic... My benchie showed the same line, in the same place. So far, that's the only print that has had it.
The design of this printer reminds me of something that vision miner would have and the specs are pretty nice.

Thanks for the video and if you're going to try other printers I would suggest you try the flashforge adventurer 5m pro I'm just amazed with the build quality the print quality and price the only downside for me is the smaller print size which is 220 squared

Did they figure out the fire issues?
They released a firmware update to address the overheating relay board. It reduces the amount of power going through the chamber heater.
There's also an upgraded relay board available from Qidi. Not sure if they are offering it for free as I'm in a 240v region and the issue is mostly when using 110v.
I'm guessing newly built units will have the upgraded relay board installed. Cheers!
Solved. Free replacement SSR or return and refund are provided to all relevant users, and an additional one-year warranty. The machines currently produced have been equipped with new SSR, and there is no risk.
