something I think is great about this movie is that it shows that the hashiras aren't these invincible gods that can solve every problem. Rengoku was, and potentially still is, the strongest character the anime has introduced, and he lost to upper 3. Not upper 1, or muzan, upper 3. It sets up tension for the rest of the show really well because, the characters no longer have plot armor. well, not as much anyways. A lot of movies for me have been less enjoyable because I cant get the "ok but we know the hero will still win in the end" thought out of my head, the only one in recent memory that I can think of that subverted that was infinity war, but now we know that this show has the balls to kill off characters. And I appreciate it for that.
@@areo9304 what sets Akaza apart from other demons is that after becoming a demon he still had a code. Not killing any women and children it appears? As if he did in fact devour women he would then surpass Doma in strength, maybe even kokushibu:)
I remember during the end of last Episode of the first season when they tease Mugen Train Arc getting A Movie Adaptations right after the episode I was so hype and Trying to look at my social media about the movie announcement but then I saw someone comments "Rip Rengoku his dead" like I didnt even Watch the movie yet, Even the manga, the Official trailer isnt even out yet! I was so pissed back then..

Akaza had lost his memories about the time he was a human, but as the story goes on ahead u will see he had a tragic fate and he is not a bad guy.
