I kayak fish and have always watched because you slay like no one else on a yak . I will be a bit disappointed if you get a boat but i understand why you would and will find it fascinating to watch you pull up big Grouper and who know what else.

After 8 years kayak fishing I made the switch but to something a little different. I bought the Sea Doo Fish Pro that's new for this year. I needed a new hobie but decided to use the money for a down payment on the sea doo. Places that used to take me an hour to kayak to now take me 5 minutes. Best thing I've bought since my original hobie.

@@ultimatejay already have one. Dont use it much. This is easier to tow, maintain, way better fuel consumption, and more fun. It's not for everyone but for me its perfect.

Great job fishing through the problems. I usually do not notice a leak so soon and then I have to get off the boat and pump a lot or go to shore and dump. What is the model of the cracked boat and why do you like it more than the Revo 16? which I think it their best single hull boat.

Have you ever tried ikejime for killing/prepping your keepers? I’d be interested to see if you notice a difference in meat quality with that.
I’ve been wanting to try it for months now but I can’t get out, no weight on my leg makes fishing jetties pretty hard.

How do you find the crack fill it with water when you get home and look from the outside?
Would some suncream on your leg tat be effective against sun fade instead of using a cloth?
I think the leak might be in the front of the drive well. I have a 2014 outback and there was a small crack in the front of the drive well where the drive met the plastic

Another successful jaunt in the briny deep. Was that crack repaired under warranty, or are you on your own? Do you think these problems are a design flaw, or just shoddy quality control?
I dunno man. I’m thinking about it all. People shit on me for being rough on my boats. I was on a 2011 until 2015 with no issues. I fished hard as hell was in my 20s and took terrible care of that boat. My 2015 was my boat until 2017 three seasons no issues and the person I sold it to still uses it. My 2018 cracked in the scupper, and this in the drive well. I’m thinking my new climate might be too rough on these boats? I’m performing proactive maintenance now and haven’t had a drive failure all season. I need these boats to make videos and sell merchandise the last thing I do is try to trigger one to fail.
Nice video! I just subscribed. I was having leak issues with my Jon boat (new boater learning), and I used JB Weld and Flexseal for cheap and effective repairs. Can you do the same with a kayak?

Sucks about the yak man. Wanted to let you know somthing though. I did the half shell grilled fish that you had dine the vid on but with striper. One of the best fish I have ever eaten. I wanna say a 6 lbs fish or so bled it a great. Also I'm land locked in oklahoma so one of the better eating fish around imo. Keep em comin man.
Why not use the topwater PDL?
There’s a fine line between making the kayaks light enough to put on a car and strong enough to never crack. Elias uses his kayak to the max but he never had a problem with his older ones. It’s puzzling. I almost bought two 2018 outbacks with a trailer that were unused. Would never of used them even close to the way he uses his so it’s no concern to me. Maybe they are not designed for “commercial “ use

Looks like the flounder season will not close in August. The N. C. state senate would not bring it up for a vote although it passed the house.

I cracked my 2009 Revo at front of drivewell. Dealer welded it, but it only lasted for a few trips. Hobie gave me a 15% discount on new Outback, even though boat was long out of warranty.

I know you fish hard but after all the issues I've seen from you and others, why in the world would you continue paying so much for a hobie when there are a lot of other options now? I have a paddle kayak and always wanted a peddle and still may get one but I have a decent boat I bought used for just a little more than the hobie pro angler, I'm a big guy so that's what I would need.
