You gotta try Bar keepers freind on the windshield and exterior glass of your car. I just recently began detailing the exterior of by neglected pickup truck. I clay barred the windows, then scraped with a razor blade and they were smooth. But you could still see the hard water spots and acid rain etching in them from the side reflection. I did a little research to see what people were using to get rid of hard water spots on glass. The best video said to use bar keepers freind with an orbital buffer on the shower doors. I tested a small spot out on one of the side windows just by hand rubbing and buffing and it took it all out. Made it squeaky clean. No harm to the glass at all. So then I did the orbital buffer thing using 4 passes and let it dwell on the surface for a minute or 2 and then wipe off with a wet rag. The glass comes out beautiful. If theres deep scratches, they will still be there but the healthy glass polishes up like when it was new. Amazing, cheap and easy. The reason why I wanted the glass so clean is to apply a glass sealant like rain x. I didn't want to apply it on anything other than pristine glass. If pro car detailers knew about this they would stop buying expensive glass polish at $20 a bottle.

I recommend this.. Plastic or foam type bowl, h2o, toothbrush, and microfiber Cloth Mix w/BKF to make a paste, and dub sponge, paper towel.
Don't overthink it. Megs wheel brightener once a month, whatever soap you use for your wheels with a wheel brush and hen polish up with autosol. It'll get as close to 100% as anyone will notice and it takes minutes from beginning to end.
Here in dk i use a produkt called autosol it really nice and its like toothpasta..

I would probably try oven cleaner on the stubborn carbon deposits. Sodium Hydroxide aka Lye works exceptionally well on oil and grease removal. It will *damage* aluminum however so beware of that.
Use the BKF cream, with a dish sponge, if done regularly (once a fortnight) then it takes about 2 minutes, I have a GTI, so only 2 exhaust tips vs your 4
Great video. I use the liquid version of barkeeper’s friend. Might be a bit easier to use!
Definitely would be easier to use but I’ve never found it around here, so I got the powder.
Is is it safe to use it on the whole exterior?
I clean my oven and stainless pots with baking soda and vinegar it should works on the car pipes too
Change your exhaust so #1 you get bigger tips and they are not roolover thick tips just tubes and thus easier to clean as you’ll just be doing outsides not edges of tips #2 you get better sound #3 more performance #4 better look in my humble opinion.
True I might change the tips eventually, and I've learned the ones I'm showing now can just pull off, so I'm sure there might be some tip alternatives without changing the exhaust. I've done a resonator delete and like the current sound, but changing the look might be nice.
Don't waste your time with all the unnecessary cleaners use BRILLO PADS job done.
This stuff + a scrubber pad might be ideal. I’ve also heard magic eraser pads works too.
Make sure to use 000 steel wool or you will scratch the chrome. That would have made short work of this.
