- The Freewire Mobi EV Charger could potentially be used at airport carparks to charge electric vehicles before their owners return. It could also be used at workplaces where a concierge could charge employees' cars, ready to be used to drive home before the end of the day. Businesses could take advantage of such a unit to provide a 'charge' allowance for their employees. A concierge via app service could be implemented to charge your car while you shop, dine or be entertained. Lots of applications. Thank you to Michael Saunders from EV Australia who are supplying this product which is already currently available in Australia.

What about EV portable batteries to charge EVs ie robot battery
Great video Tom. The Boost Charger looks pretty good too! Might work well at some of our remote sites that currently offer 32A/3P but don't have sufficient generation capacity to support fast chargers. Looks like the best of both worlds, and the ability to setup time-based rules would work well during high demand times (i.e. dinner service at a remote roadhouse). Very interesting!
outbacktesla Thanks R. Agreed, these products would work supremely well in our rural/regional areas. I’m hoping some of our policy makers will see this video! #RoadsterDownUnder TT
This is definite solution for outback Australia...as AEVA has already setup a 32Amp network on almost every roadhouse on the main Australia highways...this would be a simple and realistic upgrade..

Absolutely. I’m hoping governments at all levels across our nation are watching this! TT
Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste and Thank You for All that you are doing for World Peace.. 🙏🏻 😊 🌈 ✌ 🌷 ☮️ ❤️
How many channels have you posted that on today?
Awesome!
Great stuff Tom!
FutureSystem738 😊
Tom is there a problem with your mic seems not as clear as I would expect, but good enough. Thanks
Paul Wilson Hey Paul, yes for this vid there was an issue with the handheld mic connection only discovered in post. Good pick up on your part! TT
I have never seen two diametrically different products from one company.
The Boost Chargers looks amazing. 32A 3-phase is everywhere. This device basically means up to 120kW DC charging can be anywhere! Looks amazing and could be VERY useful, especially on some Round Australia sites as mentioned.
The Mobi Charger... err... well... I've never seen anything more ridiculous! Paying a person to go around and charge everyone's car? Knowing every EV type, the driver needing to unlock the charge port at the right time, finding all the cars scattered across the car park, people might arrive and leave at different times of the day, having to take it back to base to top itself up... all that making the process so much more complicated, instead of just putting in simple AC sockets?
Charles Gregory Thanks Charles. I agree, the Boost Charger will be a quick solution to roadside infrastructure so desperately needed in a country as vast as ours.
As for the Mobi, I think the best application is for airport parking. Instead of valet needing to move cars from potentially limited fixed charging points, it would be easier to move this mobile device to ensure a ‘full’ charge for customers on return. Provided of course, as you say, the valet has access to their charge port which in an airport parking situation, they may have.
Another situation where the Mobi may be useful is for apartment dwellers with basement parking. There could be a shared device for the strata (pay per use).
Just brainstorming here ... and trying to anticipate questions asked by those curious as to how EVs could work in Australia.
Thanks for the comment, it got me thinking!

Excellent video! What happens if you win a Model Y and a Roadster? Will you share both models? Thank you so much!
Mitchell Barnow Thanks! I’m not sure if I’m allowed to win more than one ... but it’d be a good problem to have 😄 TT #RoadsterDownUnder
@@LudicrousFeed You definitely can win one of each of them! One Roadster drawing per quarter and one Model Y drawing per month. Those mobile charging units look pretty amazing! I wish that I could afford one for my house. Thank you for featuring them, I think that they are made near San Francisco, California.
Mitchell Barnow My pleasure. I saw them at the expo I attended and was intrigued straight away! TT
Ludicrous Feed They’ve got a great idea, but an expensive one that’s for thriving tech companies, only.
Mitchell Barnow Or governments.
Did they give any indication of unit costs?
Ashley Hill Early pricing suggests $150k for Mobi and $250k for Boost #RoadsterDownUnder
