So excited I found this video today. I have a basil plant and I have it in my window. For some reason last summer I had a heck of a time with my herbs. The leaves kept going black. It was odd. But my basil plant has a stem that has grown out and flowered. Which I believe will go to seed. I wasn't quite sure what to do. But I love the variety of basil that's available!

Hope this video is helpful! Cut the flowers to slow down the flowering process 🌱

Thank you for this information as basil is my favorite herb and I have a difficult time growing it. Mostly it is attacked by bugs! Hopefully, with this new knowledge, I will have a successful crop! 💚

A wonderful video! Just a little tip. It would be a bit less stressful on the plant to divide the plants in the shade. J'ai beaucoup aimé la vidéo! Merci!

Basil is actually easy to handle. I tried my hands on ginger and garlic, but I'm not sure what I did wrong to have those plants die after some time of sprouting. One herb that I seem to always get right is dill, as it's very robust. I also bought some lemon grass recently, which I put into a pot and it's also growing for some time now. Let's see how that adventure goes.
It would be great to see videos on more of those everyday herbs and spices, specifically which ones can be planted in proximity and what kind of soil and care they need to thrive.

Thank you for this video! ❤
Our family is obsessed with basil, I grow it in containers outdoor. It’s healthy only during spring and fall months because our Texas summers burn everything. I keep basil in shade after 4 hours in direct sunlight in the morning and water regularly, but it still looks sick and I have to replace plants after a month or two. Maybe you recommend certain fertilizers? Thank you in advance

@@thefrenchiegardener the growth is minimal, leaves look yellowish green and kind of small. I’d rather say “not healthy” than “sick”
