Ordered my new 11" Pro as soon as I could. Very excited to upgrade from my 2018 model! It's still snappy, but little lags here and there along with not-aweaome battery. I'm pumped.
Hey Michael, how do you find the 12.9 inch iPad? Not too big? And do you usually use it on a desk? I'm only asking because I am considering changing up from my current 11 inch iPad Pro to the new 12.9 inch iPad air, purely for the larger screen size. But! I pretty much always use my iPad in 'hand held' mode and I am concerned about the weight and size of the 12.9 inch iPads. Would it be too cumbersome after a short time using it away from a desk and stuff, these are my concerns. I went down to the Victoria Square Apple Store last week to check out the 12.9 inch iPad Pro for myself, as the new 13 inch iPad Air is going to sport the same form factor and most probably weight, but its hard to gauge how the size and weight will feel over a prolonged period of time. It felt light enough to me but I wasn't holding it for extended periods of time. Anyway Michael, nice video, and its good to hear a familiar accent on RUclips from our knack of the woods! Cheers!
Personally for me the 12.9'' form factor is my preference. After using it for so long everything else just seems small. I mostly use mine with the Magic Keyboard so the weight comes from it and not from the iPad. It's already crazy light. You just need to pair up with the right case and it won't feel bulky at all. My current M1 iPad Pro is limping along with a bad display (lines), so it needs to be replaced. I considered going with the Air, and that would be the sensible choice, but I splurged for the Pro - the tandem OLED looks so nice. I did sit on the confirm order button a while once I saw the final price - with all the accessories. LOL Ouch. One detail I didn't realize was you need to bump up to the 1 TB version for the full 10 cores and 16 GB of RAM. Oh well, just shy at 512 GB.
Nice!! This is the issue i have with Apple.. Additional features like the new display texture should be an add on to all iPads, not just the 1TB/2TB models. Also, the 16GB should be standard across the board on the iPad Pro. I edit from external SSD's so storage isn't something i need a large amount of but if i want the RAM i have to go to 1TB which is a joke IMO. But that's how Apple roll i suppose.
Let me know how you get on with Final Cut. I always find it a nightmare switching editing software. Once you learn the nuances of one, it’s hard to retrain yourself to use another.

I already ordered the 13" Pro. 5.1mm thin, (Nom Nom Nom )OLED, 1/3rd of a pound lighter, Can't wait. Selling my 11" iPad Pro to after I get it.

The first version of Final Cut on the iPad wasn't great, but the updates shown today look the business so i'm definitely trying it again!

I went for the 256GB model. I don't use a lot of storage as i use external SSD's
The double stack oled alone is worth it for you since you edit on ipad
