    You know you MAY be in trouble when Kahli holds the Orb of Metal up against your face (see: Dana Dan thumbnail)
    ... on a personal note...
    This song takes over my mother's life-work.. she fought child abuse in the 70s-90s in rural, very dangerous southern Oregon.
    She was the one to walk in and take the abused away from the abusers... a little 100 lb spike of fury.
    Looking at this, I think there must have been a little Kahli in her.
    Two days after this song came out, she passed at 96 yo... don't drop the torch folks... Kahli just got a little bit stronger.
    Love you guys.

      Yes.
      But for some people, you should add some minor details.
      Kali is the goddess of death and destruction.
      She is not nice.
      She is not kind.
      She is *RAGE*
      Depictions of her often show her with decapitated heads and drinking blood.
      She is not all bad, mind you.
      Through death she is also responsible for transformation.

      @@JesusKreist she is kind to those who worship her and she is a protector. She symbolises the furious aspect that women have within them. She was born from mother Durga's fury. She is kind and gentle and heals children. Yes she has a destructive aspect but she also has a creative aspect. She sometimes forces you to destroy your pride and ego, closing old doors so you can't go back. It's really narrow-minded to say say she is simply rage. That's the furthest thing from what Kali is or represents to Hindus. Kali also represents time or the thread of life and death. She is such an important aspect of feminity and motherhood.

      I've always liked the role Kali plays in Hindu mythology. She takes on a rather unique role as I understand it. She's feared and loved in equal measures for the same reason. She is the embodiment of justice, but unlike most other similar mythological figures she embodies the blind rage of justice. Kali isn't like other justice deities that revolve more around fairness and truth, she's the avenging fist that will destroy all in her path. perfect figure to invoke for a song like this. she's the justice we crave in the sight of atrocity that we dare note dole out ourselves. violent justice, angry justice

      @@JesusKreist Kali is what you get when the god of destruction isn't one of the evil gods. She's way scarier because not only will she destroy you, she'll be 100% in the right for doing it

      goddess kali is the goddess of time kaal = time but she's also the goddess of dark (not the nagative) she is often prayed with her being complete nude and dark body with demon heads on her neck and demon's sliced hands as skirt she drinks blood and is often connected with black magic..... she's very much prayed in india, specially in west bengal region..also, she's not a thing to be depicted as an abuse victim or somth...

    Nice reaction bro. Next I want to recomending you to make a reaction about an Indonesian girl metal band wearing a hijab. The band name is Voice of Baceprot. They are really cool, at a young age but already have good songs in the metal genre. The music is very fresh and beyond expectation. Please make reaction one of their 3 MVs, such as Not public property, god allow me please, and school revolution.

    Rape and sexual assault is a real problem in India.

    • @thedescanteer
      @thedescanteer Год назад +2

      No it's not. India has some of the lowest per capita figures for rape and violence against women on the planet. It's just our media, especially the English media, and the activist/intellectual class which likes to make a hue and cry about it internationally. They keep milking old cases, and turn crime and law & order into political/cultural issues. And they do it very selectively depending on which religion, caste, community etc. the victim and the perpetrator belong to. There is certainly an agenda behind this pervasive stereotyping/image that has been crafted only in the last decade or so. The US and several European countries, btw, feature in the top 10 list, and are orders of magnitude above India when it comes to per capita numbers on crimes against women.

      @thedescanteer Год назад +1

      @@jackriver1999 And how would you know that? Were you born into the tradition? Or did you perform lifelong practice or scholarly due diligence with emic sources and/or a guru? The fact is you haven't done even basic research on who Kali is or what she represents as per Hindu/Dharmic scriptures. You are simply regurgitating woke Orientalist nonsense spewed by some sanctimonious westerner who has the audacity to teach Hinduism to Hindus. Yes, we will absolutely gatekeep Hinduism and our deities from you mlechhas till our last breath. We have learnt our lesson by allowing the rampant perversion of Yoga by you lot.
