Tyler1 said it best. He walked out of the premier pissed that Riot was able to do such a good job. First 3 episodes of Arcane were a perfect 10/10 in my opinion. The animation was beautiful. If Arcane finishes strongly, the chances of us getting more series in the future also go up. If only Riot could figure out how to balance their damn game so I could actually enjoy playing it again.
Long rant incoming: For me it's mostly not even about balancing. The problem is that snowballing is too strong, comeback very difficult to impossible and long late games don't really exist anymore. Riot made games on average 10 minutes (or something) shorter than 6 seasons ago. Getting to the late game a bit earlier isn't even really a problem imo. What is a problem is that BALANCED games with balanced teams get FORCED to end by overpowered objectives like soul, baron and the "new" elder drake. It's extremely boring and even frustrating to WIN (or lose ofc) like that. Games with balanced teams should be the most exciting games you can possibly have in league and should end with a beating heart, which they still did ~6 seasons ago. There is nearly no possibility (at least when not playing with a full premade team) to do smart ambushes at interesting locations once it spawns. You have to go there. An interesting aspect about strategy games imo is that you have a managable defenders advantage in your base that the opponent needs to overcome. It's managable if you play better but it SHOULD be difficult. With these objectives there is no defenders advantage. It just feels so incredibly linear and boring. And if people say "but the games get drawn out unnecessarily without it", No, no they don't. I really must ask, why do you even play the game? Do you just want to see the LP rise, is that the whole purpose of the game? If you enjoy playing the game, then what's better than a 50-60 min game, possibly with both bases open and people split pushing and defending like their life depends on it because they feel how close the round is. The objectives are too strong and ruin the game. Sorry, I need to let it out from time to time, I miss old league but people seem to not understand why it has become less fun. Agreed. I think the reason it's confusing to this content creator is because he's steeped in the game's lore and having to unlearn everything he knows. For someone like me who knows nothing about Arcane and is only watching the show, I have no trouble following what's been shown so far. 😊
See, I'm not so sure Zaun is even a thing (in the show lore) yet. Silco talks to Vander about their dream of Zaun (might have called it the "Nation of Zaun" or something like that), but it was just that...a dream. Everyone else refers to it as the Undercity (even Viktor, who is from there), which leads me to believe it is all one city/nation currently. Otherwise I don't think the Enforcers would have any jurisdiction in the Undercity/Zaun. I think we're going to see the creation of Zaun through a second civil war and Silco's and Singed's Shimmer-mutants & Jinx wreaking havoc in Piltover. Or I might just be way overthinking things. Edit: And now with Vander and Grayson out of the picture (Well, maybe not completely for Vander), Silco has no one standing in his way and he could unite the people of the Undercity.
Not overthinking it at all! Zaun isnt "Zaun" in name yet, it was something Silco and Vander were trying to do before (which I believe is the beginning bridge slaughter) and Vander abandons the dream after that but Silco does not.
It really didn't feel convoluted, at least not to me, then again I've known of the world for a while, and appreciated that they didn't explain much, they already assumed you either knew or wasn't important enough to explain, like what is heimerdinger and how is he 300+ years old? If you play the games you know, if you don't then who cares what or why, it's not important to the story
Yeah how tf is any of this confusing. They aren't giving you the fuckin etymology of Zaun's name and its origins thousands of years ago in the Shuriman empire. Everything is easy to put together and understand.
There's probably a disconnect with people who roughly know the lore of league and those who don't. As someone who is casually familiar with the lore, it was difficult trying to understand a lot of what was happening and the point of certain characters without doing research. The point of the counsel and who they are. Why 1 house is supplying resources for another house. The layout of piltover and zaun. Are the lanes just a nickname for zaun. Jinx took all of jayce's crystals, but somehow he still has more, so is this just widely available and where did he get them. Who are the kirammans. Why do the kirammans care about jayce at all. Was jayce originally from piltover? How common is magic, we don't see anyone use it even in zaun. Who is Mel. Who are the medardas. What's the point of Mel. Who is house ferros and again why is Mel working with them. Who is the councilor and what's the point of him. When did the rune wars take place. These are all q's I had on my first watch through that the show doesn't explain at all without further research. Going off of just the show none of these qs are ever explained.
@@MagikarpUsedFlylol Dude I'm not necrit, heck i don't even read anything from the website, most of what I know is from way back when you and bricky did videos on champs + champion interactions and I still think the parts that weren't explained weren't necessary to explain, like medicloreans The point of the counsel and who they are: Like any counsel, they are the power of the town and so make decisions for it Why 1 house is supplying resources for another house: Like any super powers, alliances and debts are power moves, so makes sense stronger houses control smaller ones via favours The layout of piltover and zaun: Ok this one I give ya, but the elevator scene kinda tells you everything you need to know, one is up with sun and fresh air, the other is down with gas everywhere, with a rives in between Are the lanes just a nickname for zaun: I honestly just assumed "Zaun" doesn't exist by that name yet, as it was only mentioned by Silco in his dream revolution Jinx took all of jayce's crystals, but somehow he still has more: No, he had 1 more, on the one thing they decided not to steal, that we see heimer put in the vault later and that jayce and viktor recover to do their one shot experiment so is this just widely available and where did he get them: Not explained true, given old lore this would be the skarner crystals, but one without knowledge could assume he manufactured them and it wouldn't make it any less believable or hard to explain Who are the kirammans: By their seat on the table I'd assume one of the majour houses of Piltover Why do the kirammans care about jayce at all: They see potential in him, maybe for honour, or prestige or simply profit Was jayce originally from piltover?: Implied yes but not clear but also irrelevant to understand the story or even his character How common is magic, we don't see anyone use it even in zaun: Although different, they are both places of science so why would magic be prominent in Zaun? especially given the enforcers Also keeping magic in the show as this mysterious outworld thing helps the misticism and how revolutionary and dangerous Jayces experiments are Who is Mel. Who are the medardas: Some rich house leader who wants to manipulate the councel and gain more power What's the point of Mel: To be a social villain and the rotten part of Piltover Who is house ferros and again why is Mel working with them: Irrelevant and for Power and profit Who is the councilor and what's the point of him: You mean the robot dude? No idea, but isn't his inclusion one of the reasons you're interested? His existence and hat of magic again help with the mysticism of magic When did the rune wars take place: They never mentioned the rune wars by name, but regardless, we can assume somewhere at max 300 years ago by heimers age, but it's irrelevant when exactly, just that it was long ago that the only one present to have seen it was heimer None of these things need an answer to follow the plot of the show, they are world builders, I don't watch lord of the rings so they can explain the family tree of the elves or why there are different elf sects They make the world come alive but are not essential to the story it's trying to tell But the cool thing is, if you ARE interested in the rest of the world, there are answers out there for you to dive deeper They just don't need to be in the show to clog the story up
@@MagikarpUsedFlylol I think the big problem is that you are approaching Arcane for lore about the world behind League of Legends. Your questions are questions that aren't asked by most viewers. You seek out nitty-gritty details that are too complicated and boring for a dramatic multimillion dollar project. Like G.R.R said about LOTR, nobody asked what Aragorn's tax policy is. Arcane is about is about the characters themselves. Any larger sociological ideas come second to the emotional-narrative focal point of the show. You are asking questions that Arcane cannot and does not want to answer. Because of the fact that Arcane is rewriting a lot of established lore, you can't get your questions answered in written stories yet. However, Riot will likely be releasing stories to explore those ideas soon. Its frustrating but how it is for now. Until we get those stories, we can think about Mel's ambitions and how far she is willing to go for power. We can think about Silco's desire for revenge and where he draws the line. Until we get explanations for larger, grander plotlines, we can appreciate the characters that Riot has made.
@Keshuel seriously though this show is amazing because it is capable to telling so much storing and showing so much emotion all without telling the viewer. Hell the opening scene in episode 1 is a text book example of perfect story telling as it tells a completely story without a single line of dialogue. You don't need dialogue to see that there was fighting and a massacre because you could see the fires and dead bodies, you didn't need dialogue telling you who the two children are because that didn't matter, you didn't need to know why they were fighting or who were fighting. You got all the information you needed. Bad shit happened to a lot of people, these two children experience a horrible event and are now orphans, and this man took over protecting them. Later in the story we find out this is Vi and Jinx, the man is Vander, the people of the underground were fighting Piltover enforcers in some kind of rebellion and this information came naturally and gradually as you needed it.
Jayce is one of my top favorite characters in league, and the fact that he has this big of a role in the series, just makes me so so happy. True, we knew he was in it from the beginning, but it was more aimed to be Vi and Jinx's story
I don't really think that Silco was planning on use to Jinx for his plans he legitimate sympathize with Jinx, she was abandoned by her only sister and left for dead and he see the parallel between his story and hers
well it is probably both. First it can be seen as a revenge on Vander as Jinx was basically a daughter to Vander but now she is in his hands, second he could see that he can use her for his future plans (if he knew she made the bomb then this reinforces this), then third he could still completely sympathize with Jinx seeing himself in her. Someone who was abandoned by a person they considered a sibling.
terrible game, great music, outstanding revolutionary one-of-a-kind animated series. Spoilers ahead I hate how they killed so many characters so quickly but my god it works so fcking well, I’m shaking at half the scenes.. props to the writers and animators, riot should just drop everything and make movies for the rest of their lifetime
When that League MMO comes out, I'm 100% going to join Captainflowers' clan, the Brackern boys, and join his hunt on piltover players. Brackerns forever!!!
@@fis001r oh yeah I loved that part of the story it's so adorable I hope there's some sort of redemption arc in the future where he will get along with jayce again
seriously though my biggest fear was that this was going to get bogged down into trying to tell/force in as many characters from the game as possible because fans want to see their favorite character in the show but the show managed to perfectly intertwine two seemingly completely separate stories together without it ever getting messy nor without it getting too bloated with too many characters.
"If a story gets worse because of spoilers, that just means that the story probably wasn't very good in the first." Thank you! I've been saying that due years every time someone whines about spoilers.
Love the vid and the breakdown of each character. Personally, I don't see Ekko working at the shop negatively because Ekko likes to work there and invent using some of the stuff there. Also, the shop is likely the best and safest place for him to be (which kinda tells us how bad Zaun is for children).
I love any content from you Matt but I don't really think half of the information of this video was needed to understand the upcoming episodes or current ones. The story already implies a lot of things about Piltover and Zuan with "show don't tell"
I feel like they're gonna continue to make a concerted effort to canonized their lore prior to the release of the MMO. Big factors of MMO success are built on a solid lore that doesn't change.
For everyone who already knows League just wants the rundown of Arcane from the standpoint of a player... This show is about the fights between Piltover and Zaun... This show also go overs the advancements in Hextech and Chemtech and their clashing commences...
Matt did mention that Heimerdinger was the "only Yordle in the show so far". That is factually incorrect as there was an elderly female Yordle shown in Zaun that was working at what is presumably a brothel.
I knew Victor was a character in league, I just couldn't put my ex-LOL-player finger on it Aaallso thought Silco was Jihn and Deckard might be Warwick, idk half the reason I'm watching Arcane is to guess the characters lmfao
Couple of things (as I'm on my 4/5 time watching, not including reaction videos). I think (which hasn't been explained) that Zaun is broken up into sections. I don't think the "undercity" is called "the lanes," I think their section is. Which is why Silco was like 'our dream of a unified under city. The nation of Zaun.' Also... you forgot the Pordle.... Hordle... Yordle of the night......Also IDK if Silco's goal is to use her as a weapon.... but we'll have to wait and see.
8:48 ... ok, I hate how much i want to see an "It's never Sunny in Zaun" series NOW!!! Maybe make them live in an in between place so you can have the twins be from Piltover as well as Frank that exploits both cities and Mac and Charlie would be true Zaunite sumprats!!
Yoyo! I disagree about Caitlyn's reworked storyline. The murderer of Caitlyn's parents goes by the name of "C" and I think is hinted to be Corina Veraza, backed by lines given to her in league, and legends of runeterra, during the time of Arcane's development. I don't think Jinx is responsible.
Honestly I'm just impressed they Retconned most of the Zaun/piltover characters lore in just the first 2 episodes . Need my boi Ziggs and everyones favorite rat man to make an appearance (which maybe he was the rat in singed's first test?) Also I need to know how singed survives that explosion. He should by all means have should be dead as shit. Maybe he mutates? New singed skin incoming from arcane as a suprise? Basically Rito fucked a Huge chunk of their own lore in about 1:30 of screen time and I need to see how they pull this massive fucking re write off. Because its changes sooooooo fucking many champs backstories and not just the ones currently featured on the show.
I'm loving the show so far. The only gripe I have is how hard it is to keep track of some lore elements. But then again, the biggest issue with League's story ever since the Summoner Retcon years ago is slowly trying to piece back together what is and isn't canon anymore. Hopefully Arcane will establish more of a baseline for the canon that carries over into the rest of the League universe. Considering how much Riot is pushing this show everywhere, I hope that's the case.
You mentioned there are a few world runes , but if I remember correctly there are a ton of them scattered around the world and this is why ryze still has a purpose. If they were only a few he would have done his job and died.
That's it Riot should just basically stop making games and instead go fully into TV production because this was by far one of the best tv series I have seen
Yo Karp, just one detial. As a scientist I'm required to sign every page of my lab notebook for purely IP reasons, basically it's a legal document. Love this video

If there'd be anyone I'd trust to watch for Easter Egg vids, it'd definitely be you, Matt. The eye for film-making plus your League experience come into play here quite well. Loved your take on the show.
As a fan of jinx's character I was very pleased with how Arcane has portrayed her so far. Her crying in ep 3 was absolutely heart-wrenching. Really hope that Caitlyn gets a bit more love as the series goes on, she got like less than a minute of screen time in the span of these episodes. I also liked the dynamic they set up between Jayce & Viktor. Can't wait to see where that goes.
In my opinion, this is nothing short of god-tier. They do so much in so little time, while keeping the flow steady. Big props to the writes and animators, they were clearly waiting for this moment as much as the rest of us. It all screams passion.
Am I the only one almost 100% sure that while Vander is going to become a lycan like human wolf Silco is goint to become a lycan like human rat, also known as Twitch? Not sure why, maybe is their voice, their posture or something like that, but Silco gives me Twitch vibes. Also in the lore of Warwick, Singed had 2 subjects and one of them had already lost conscience of who he was so Singed kept asking that to Warwick.
@@lasseriisljunggren1095 yep, the only thing I have to defend this is the way he talks and walks. I also think that Mel is LeBlanc, I have no good evidence for that, just imagining that this would fit her and would be a re-read of the title.

I’m only 90 seconds into this video, but I am having trouble understanding what exactly is “convoluted” or “hard to follow” about this show. I know zero LOL lore and have never played the game. I watched all 6 episodes and it is rather very simple and easy to follow. It’s fresh, beautiful and a phenomenal show so far.
Tbh, I didn't find the story to be very convoluted. It was pretty easy to follow if you simply paid attention. That said, I think they could have explained Silco and Marcus' deal a bit instead of leaving us completely in the dark as to what it was. Also I personally found the Vi and Jinx storyline to be the more interesting one. Its the one with the most action atm, and is much, much darker than Jayce's story... though I'm also a little biased cause Jinx is tied with Urgot as one of my two favorite champions. That said, I don't think Jayce's story was boring or bad in any way, and I look forward to seeing where it goes. In particular I'm curious about House Ferros' future involvement and how Camille supposedly got her hex tech heart decades before Jayce was even born.
I don't think the crystals were procured from Zaun... Jayce came back with the box of things he baoght from Zaun, whilst the crystals were already in his room...
This was a nice watch! I’m not gonna be critical as another comment I’ve read on this vid. However, I wanted to let you know that what I enjoyed the most from the video is that segment is the sort of comedic and winded explanation of the fucky wucky mess of Murphy’s Law applied into action that is Jayce’s life in Act 1. Thought your words flowed really well with great comedic beats that’s a great draw to your videos. Would really love to see more of that plot speedrun if you ever make a video for Acts 2 or 3 of Arcane in the future; especially with how ballistic Act 2 revved up to and went ham with it.
Uhhh so people condemn Seraphine for using Hextech Crystals then literally forgets that Jayce, Heimmerdinger and the rest of the Piltover Heroes used those before Seraphine... Man, Riot is clearly calling out LOL fans on their hypocrisy
When it comes to VI being able to lift vanders gauntlets I THINK that the only reason she was doing so well with them is because they are somewhat mechanized with pistons and stuff that jut out when she punches' stuff.
Life Crystals would just be non-human organ harvesting. That makes it kind of even more fucked up. Imagine an entire country being killed because their liver is this useful.

I've actually seen people say: "I would rather start another round than waste my time in a 60 min game".... Like wtf? Please stop playing the game... you are addicted nothing more! A 60 minute game automatically means you have a chance to win.

@@yoosefshoar1031 Also the entirety of information about those crystals she has is 'after I dropped one an explosion happened'. An adult with years of education and experience in making explosions would have a hard time figuring out how many to use in an improvised explosive device.
Was this extremely risky? Yes. But she didn't even use the device until after she saw that her sister could not win the fight, and the monster was breaking down the door and was going to kill her entire family.
It ended horribly, but based on all the information that Powder could possibly have known, her decisions make perfect sense even without including the fact that she is an emotionally traumatized child.

I took the moment when Vi walks away, her taking a minute to let it out and collect her thoughts on my second view.
She looks at Powders bleeding nose and then looks at her hands and sees what shes done. She walks away but as soon as she sees Powder in trouble she tries to get up and help her but gets taken away by Marcus.
And the narcissistic piece of shit that Powder is thought Vi abandoned her when Vi had all the fucking right to be pissed.
@@pleasedont7439 She's like 10 years old and grew up raised by children and serial killers in the super ghetto, constantly being berated for being a burden. She unsurprisingly has issues, and any kid would think they were abandoned in her position. And how would thinking Vi abandoned her make her a NARCISSIST of all things? That makes absolutely no fucking sense. Do you even know what a narcissist is? If she were one, she would do anything possible to convince herself Vi DIDN'T abandon her, because a narcissist would not accept that their sibling hates them enough to do that. She thought Vi abandoned her because she just killed their whole fucking family on accident and Vi's reaction was to smack her in the face then run off never to be seen again. And as I mentioned, she's a child who's spent her whole life being told she's a burden anyway. There was literally no reason for her to assume anything other than "My sister finally got sick of me and left." Being upset about that is an expected reaction, especially for a FUCKING CHILD.

So Matt, when are we gonna get "The Arcane Actual Championship Spotlight"? Just kiddin! Good break down of the first act my guy!
I'm not a lore type person but, I think the world building and the introduction is pretty easy to follow.
Agreed. I think the reason it's confusing to this content creator is because he's steeped in the game's lore and having to unlearn everything he knows. For someone like me who knows nothing about Arcane and is only watching the show, I have no trouble following what's been shown so far. 😊
Arcane is what I have been waiting ever since they made those early shorts. And to see how utterly magnificent it is, that brought tears to my eyes
Arcane destroyed everything Necrit did in his past vids lmao
Im still upset he kept calling an ez jayse chin victor.
Necrit is often wrong when hes going on theory tangents, I think he just gets too excited and starts overthinking everything lol
@@MagikarpUsedFlylol
Dude I'm not necrit, heck i don't even read anything from the website, most of what I know is from way back when you and bricky did videos on champs + champion interactions and I still think the parts that weren't explained weren't necessary to explain, like medicloreans
The point of the counsel and who they are:
Like any counsel, they are the power of the town and so make decisions for it
Why 1 house is supplying resources for another house:
Like any super powers, alliances and debts are power moves, so makes sense stronger houses control smaller ones via favours
The layout of piltover and zaun:
Ok this one I give ya, but the elevator scene kinda tells you everything you need to know, one is up with sun and fresh air, the other is down with gas everywhere, with a rives in between
Are the lanes just a nickname for zaun:
I honestly just assumed "Zaun" doesn't exist by that name yet, as it was only mentioned by Silco in his dream revolution
Jinx took all of jayce's crystals, but somehow he still has more:
No, he had 1 more, on the one thing they decided not to steal, that we see heimer put in the vault later and that jayce and viktor recover to do their one shot experiment
so is this just widely available and where did he get them:
Not explained true, given old lore this would be the skarner crystals, but one without knowledge could assume he manufactured them and it wouldn't make it any less believable or hard to explain
Who are the kirammans:
By their seat on the table I'd assume one of the majour houses of Piltover
Why do the kirammans care about jayce at all:
They see potential in him, maybe for honour, or prestige or simply profit
Was jayce originally from piltover?:
Implied yes but not clear but also irrelevant to understand the story or even his character
How common is magic, we don't see anyone use it even in zaun:
Although different, they are both places of science so why would magic be prominent in Zaun? especially given the enforcers
Also keeping magic in the show as this mysterious outworld thing helps the misticism and how revolutionary and dangerous Jayces experiments are
Who is Mel. Who are the medardas:
Some rich house leader who wants to manipulate the councel and gain more power
What's the point of Mel:
To be a social villain and the rotten part of Piltover
Who is house ferros and again why is Mel working with them:
Irrelevant and for Power and profit
Who is the councilor and what's the point of him:
You mean the robot dude?
No idea, but isn't his inclusion one of the reasons you're interested?
His existence and hat of magic again help with the mysticism of magic
When did the rune wars take place:
They never mentioned the rune wars by name, but regardless, we can assume somewhere at max 300 years ago by heimers age, but it's irrelevant when exactly, just that it was long ago that the only one present to have seen it was heimer
None of these things need an answer to follow the plot of the show, they are world builders, I don't watch lord of the rings so they can explain the family tree of the elves or why there are different elf sects
They make the world come alive but are not essential to the story it's trying to tell
But the cool thing is, if you ARE interested in the rest of the world, there are answers out there for you to dive deeper
They just don't need to be in the show to clog the story up
@@MagikarpUsedFlylol I think the big problem is that you are approaching Arcane for lore about the world behind League of Legends.
26:05 Which would explain why he is so obsessed with time travel and trying to fix stuff
Hang on you are onto something.

I love any content from you Matt but I don't really think half of the information of this video was needed to understand the upcoming episodes or current ones. The story already implies a lot of things about Piltover and Zuan with "show don't tell"
MagikarpUsedFly: Heimerdinger is the only Yordle we have seen in the series.
Brothel Yordle: Hold my gimp suit.
I feel like they're gonna continue to make a concerted effort to canonized their lore prior to the release of the MMO. Big factors of MMO success are built on a solid lore that doesn't change.
If it keeps being successfull I see some Avengers shit coming up in Leagues Univers, and the evil guys are purple (The Void) just like Thanos
Imagine seeing your parents dead as a kid, and then being the one responsible of killing your adopted father and brothers, then being abandoned.

"How To Come Back To League Without Playing It"
“If spoilers ruin the story it probably wasn’t a good story” I feel like this is profound.
For everyone who already knows League just wants the rundown of Arcane from the standpoint of a player...
This show is about the fights between Piltover and Zaun... This show also go overs the advancements in Hextech and Chemtech and their clashing commences...
I only now realized that piltover comes from ”built over” the way you pronounced it😂
the show isn't convoluted at all, it's just chooses to show instead of telling
Matt did mention that Heimerdinger was the "only Yordle in the show so far". That is factually incorrect as there was an elderly female Yordle shown in Zaun that was working at what is presumably a brothel.
I knew Victor was a character in league, I just couldn't put my ex-LOL-player finger on it
Aaallso thought Silco was Jihn and Deckard might be Warwick, idk half the reason I'm watching Arcane is to guess the characters lmfao
I didn't find it convoluted at all, or hard to follow. Neither did my sister, who is pretty dang new to league of legends lol

Absolutely 0 league knowledge going into show.i can say it was amazing, awesome story and emotional conflict w characters
Need my boi Ziggs and everyones favorite rat man to make an appearance (which maybe he was the rat in singed's first test?)
Also I need to know how singed survives that explosion.
I think the Enemy music video shows us that Ekko DID have a crush on jinx
I really hope we get to see Orianna in this series
16:26 is that a JoJo reference?

As a fan of jinx's character I was very pleased with how Arcane has portrayed her so far. Her crying in ep 3 was absolutely heart-wrenching. Really hope that Caitlyn gets a bit more love as the series goes on, she got like less than a minute of screen time in the span of these episodes. I also liked the dynamic they set up between Jayce & Viktor. Can't wait to see where that goes.
I got hooked so quickly to the series 🙌🏼
Mel Medarda is so hot.
That's it. That's my takeaway message.
Also, David Bowie is part of the Council of Piltover.
In my opinion, this is nothing short of god-tier. They do so much in so little time, while keeping the flow steady. Big props to the writes and animators, they were clearly waiting for this moment as much as the rest of us. It all screams passion.

MINOR SPOILER!
I wondered after the episode 6 that the enforcer maarkus has a very similiar lore to mundos. mundo was a previous enforcer that used to make deals with the underground. but might be wrong just kinda hit me.
Singed isn't an alchemist... He's a chemist. Alchemy is a specific branch of chemistry trying to create gold....
"If I give spoilers it doesn't make the story worse"
Lol, anyone with an ounce of intelligence would realize that it makes the experience worse.
