  • What If A Nuclear Weapon Hits New York Tomorrow?
    A nuclear weapon detonation in New York City would result in catastrophic destruction. If a bomb like "Little Boy," the same type dropped on Hiroshima, were to hit Manhattan, everything within a 200-meter radius would be vaporized, and buildings would be severely damaged up to 340 meters away. The immediate death toll would be in the tens of thousands. Beyond the initial explosion, the heat would ignite widespread fires, and radioactive fallout would contaminate the environment, making it hazardous for survivors and first responders.
    Modern nuclear weapons, such as Russia's RS-28 Sarmat ("Satan 2"), pose an even greater threat. Capable of carrying multiple warheads, this missile could unleash destruction far beyond what "Little Boy" caused. A 15-megaton explosion would create a fireball over 4 kilometers wide, incinerating everything in its path. The blast wave would flatten buildings across a vast area, and thermal radiation would cause third-degree burns up to 34 kilometers away, affecting most of the New York metropolitan area.
    The fallout from such an attack would spread far and wide, rendering large parts of the city uninhabitable. The destruction would overwhelm emergency services, and the psychological impact on survivors would be immense. A nuclear weapon detonation in New York would not only devastate the city but could also trigger a global conflict, leading to widespread chaos and loss of life on an unprecedented scale.

      @@Elthenar That isn't remotely comparable due to the time we live in and the devastating destruction we have compared to now. 90 percent of the world or more could not survive an nuclear fallout, we are far too weak as a society anymore and just no lol if you can sit there and be like "Yeah, I'll be fine" while most likely using stores, supply chains to get stuff into cities and enjoying stuff like sitting on RUclips along with other various luxuries we have now. We would be so fucked. This would be world ending and it wouldn't stop at just one bomb or two it would be a bunch of them since a lot of countries own them. So you wouldn't be "fairly okay."

Reach out for professional help if you need it, otherwise one of the most effective things you can do to change your "sucky" life in a positive way, is to change your thinking! It's not about "pretending life is perfect" nor is it about ignoring "problems", rather address the ones you can actually do something about & get help with the ones you can't address by yourself.... We're not "islands to ourselves", presumably you have Family/Friends who love you, reach out to them if you need some encouragement or help with things & don't let the "Debbie Downer mindset" keep you in a perpetual state of negativity.

    I was at work in midtown Manhattan on 9/11. I remember wondering in those first few minutes of shock and confusion if the planes were the beginning of a full scale attack. Everyone in my office was stunned. I remember wondering if a dirty bomb was possibly next. That “fireball” isn’t actually a fireball at all. It’s pure plasma that is actually hotter than the center of the sun, not just the surface. Whenever a nuke goes off, there’s a split second where the center of the sun is the second hottest point in the solar system.

      Have you been reading my previous gripes? :D Thank you my friend. I go from page to page to page trying to get these "science" channels to stop using "fireball." It was fine in the 50's and 60's before we started studying atomic energy in school. Not anymore. Fire is a chemical reaction. A nuclear fission or fusion is the creation of energy...simply put, a man made star. The thermal energy will be between 10 million degrees for fission and 500million degrees for (thermo nuclear) fusion. Fire don't burn that hot. Nice to see someone understands. One quick correction...We don't use fission only bombs anymore. We have staged fission to fusion bombs. for a brief few seconds NOT EVEN THE CENTER of the sun holds a candle to the heat.

      @technoartfest8708 23 дня назад

      Unfortunately is not how it works.. and a total war scenario between US and Russia. it will be Impossible to declare a cease of fire until each one totallyl destroyed. Because they will say , what if we launch just 1 nuke over NYC , then US will fire hundreds back at Russia. So if they take the decision to launch a nuclear strike,, they will have to launch most of them at very least if not all , before their enemies destroy it.. So no only NYC will be hit . but also All economic centers , Power Plants to keep US in the darkness for years, they will hit The major lakes with super Radiation cobalt bombs , so no water . The agriculture fertile lands hit with super radiated nukes and 5 major lakes too. . and the Entire US and Western Coast nuked too. And of course military based , naval bases and economic centers too. The US storages sites of OIL and NAtural gas hit and so anything US needs to keep its top 500 business operating hit. And when the surviving population from the initial strike find themselves without a Job , without money because banks closed and without Food , but their guns still working and they very angry with their Government for provoking Russia into a nuclear war as they doing in Ukraine. What you think the surving population will do? That's when the Big civil war will start.. and the looting and the ends of the Government. Nobody will recognize Federal gov authorities and US will become a chaotic lawlessness country with Riots across all cities in US.. and this is why they want to take away GUNS from people.. They know in case of a nuclear war start , they will lose control of the country and disloyalty ,including from States and from Police and Military will start.. So this is the big irony of all.. The civil unrest of the entire nation will cause more physical destruction of property that all the Nukes of Russia . So imagine the worse Riots even in US , that a city was lawless for a week , but multiply that for thousands in every city in America and you will get a picture of the Chaos. But this does not ends there because if Russia attack USA. they will need to strike CANADA and Europe too ,Australia and new zealand to make sure US political and wealthy elites will not be able to find a refugee anywhere else in the world. This is why is important public support in wars.. If you don't have population support and trust , the government will go down very fast in a major existential crisis . like a nuclear war , and or no food and no business operating. So Russia will not have those problems when it comes of a civil war ,because of Population support to the government. IT means than Russia will still have some chance to continue to exist , even in the case of a Nuclear war.. Is a too big country to be covered by nukes completely .and most population support their president. There was not long ago of report in RT.com Russian media of a family that survived in the wilderness , during world war 2 , when Nazis invaded Russia. And they never became aware that their country was at war during world war 2.. becasuse Russian forest ,and empty land are bigger than United States in size , so because of Government support and the size of Russia ,they do more than likely continue to exist even after a full nuclear war..with NATO , but albeit it will be habited only by people living in wilderness ,and rural zones since cities that are less than 5% of Russian total land territory ,would be destroyed.
