Great video, Bill! Thanks for the preview. (Perfect feature Excel Team!) 4:25 - I think it is "when" vs "if" difference. I believe it doesn't take "when" as a conditional but "if".
Great video!! This will expand the capabilities of Excel exponentially as these tools develop over time. Also, any insight or inside information as to why PIVOTBY and GROUPBY plus Eta-Lambdas are being rolled out SO SLOWLY to Insiders?
Thanks, Mr Excel!!! I do not have this yet because Microsoft does not do accounts well (that's what Jon said but he vastly understated it) lol . It looks clunky. But this is just in test phase...
Fascinating. Thanks for this preview. I’m gonna get set up and start playing with this. Do you think we’re on a path to being made obsolete as teachers? 🧐
Thanks Bill. AI can solve many issues but clearly it can also create many more. All the more reason why we need experts to sort out the errors. Thanks for sharing.
Insightful video Mr. Excel. How about you use more Excel/spreadsheet jargon instead of everyday language. So instead of saying insert 'years across the top', try insert years as column headers(or similar wording). And, instead of using the word 'fall', as dates don't 'fall', and 'fall' may be confused with a season of the year, try 'all dates in the month of February', or all dates between February 01 and February 28/29
Great video! I love your content. I feel like Copilot may be like trying to ask questions of my autistic spetrum child (now a young adult). Interrogative words such as "how" confused him. "How old are you?" elicited strange answers. "How many years old are you?" would return a resounding "FOUR!!" 😂 I think I've been in training for Copilot for years. Ha!
Very interesting stuff even though it's early days. Is Co-pilot smart enough to reformat dates? If you say reformat the date column to years-months-days or ISO 9001 I wonder if it could do it.

That's what I came to say! That makes sense.
It looks like in one of the first formulas it worked when asking “if” but not “when”.
“When” is misinterpreted, apparently

Capitalizing doesn't make a difference. Prompts just fail randomly sometimes. My advice, if a prompt fails, just try it again in a few minutes.
In the calculate bonus question, the first one said when Product, the second one said if the Product…
Looks like it takes more effort to make it work than to just do it yourself. But yes it is incredible technology.

You used the word IF in your second request. If you put the request in terms that excel understand it will result in a better function
I have Office 365, but the copilot function is still not in operation
Hi I have a requirement sir can you please help me

I will experiment with all of those! Great suggestions.

Great video, thanks Mr. Excel!
Is Copilot is exclusively for the licensed version of microsoft?
