    That's a good looking rig! And I like the flex and drupe that the suspension has. Whit the right electronics that thing is going to be a beast on the rocks.

      Yeah it’s about to be transformed a bit into a more bouncer like vehicle.

    Wow EXO that is a cool breakage. This is a perfect example of life size differential breakage do to poor installation. It takes time to install gears correctly, not a rush type of job. Good to know about intergy internals.

    My jlb 21101 was making that same noise. I caught it right away. The stock pinion bearings were shot. Replaced them with quality ones and it is all good now.

    I like when you do these kind of videos so i don't have to break my own rigs to see what happens

    When I hear those first few clicks, I take the whole thing apart and shim those diffs!

      It wouldn’t have helped. These were junk metal.

    great video brotha, i love my bomber, castle mamba x, 2200kv holmes hobbies puller pro and reef's 555( 68t spur 12t pinion)...ridiculous low end controller and torque!! built mine to crawl and MILD rock bouncing. anyways,i couldn't tell ya how many sets of ar60 gears i've killed , mostly in my wraith and smt10 but never in my vanquished out bomber, so good that i've broken a few cvd's!!

    • @ExocagedRC

      Awesome. Yeah the better gears are worth it

    Underdriving the rear only really improves the bombers turning, crawling and overall driving imo.

      @ExocagedRC  4 года назад

      I’ve done the 43/13 in both ends now. Just need to finish the driving part

    My Arrma Granite has that "issue" where if it has resistance at rest, it won't overcome the obstacle. It's almost like it was built into the esc so that it's easier on the transmission etc. Kind of like they set the punch level really low.

  • @mickd8188
    @mickd8188 4 года назад +1

    I'll reserve my judgment on this esc until I've used it but it's completely programmable...
    ie drag brake, instant reverse, punch, curve etc.
    I'm not saying that the Mamba x and tekin rx4 are not a better esc for this purpose...
    Nice to see it run in this scenario though..
    Cheers mate 👍

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  4 года назад

      Yeah I’ve tried all kinds of things, these esc’s just don’t like to crawl at all.

    What actually makes the V2 an updated version compared to the V1?

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  4 года назад +1

      As best I can tell, maybe the axle housings, tires, beadlock wheels and that’s it. Otherwise I think it’s the same thing.

    I bought a used wraith and it had those integy driveshafts, I kept blowing them out, stock 20 turn motor and a nickel battery, so I junked them for a set of SSD scale driveshafts and never looked back even after a tekin rock 412 3100kv motor swap

  • @skirmich
    @skirmich 4 года назад +1

    Yeah that "SCT" in the name of the ESC its a pretty clear giveaway it is not tuned for Crawling at all.. Not an issue of the ESC though just use it as a Rock Bouncer and it should be fine.

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  4 года назад

      Yeah I agree. It’s coming out along with it’s bigger brother the XR8+ and I’m going back with Castle Mamba X and Monster X esc’s

    Not biggest fan of Hobbywing but they are cheap and have their place and seem to be pushing to improve.
    Gotta use what you gotta use...especially with the cost of a new X and them getting hard to find at the moment.
    I've done alot of "robbing Peter to pay Paul" with my rc's this last year.
    The HW esc seems "jerky".

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  4 года назад +1

      Yeah I’ve taken out a mamba x for this now. Still got one more run before I put it in

    The hobbywing sc8 pro esc is designed for 8th scale (& 10th) racing. (& bashing I.E. my kaiju), reason y u gotta double bump for reverse. Reverse isn't legal for racing (or it wasn't 2 years ago).

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  4 года назад +1

      Gotcha. Reverse still isn’t legal but most club races allow it so long as it’s not a lot.

    That’s a tiny motor for such a big rig... aren’t you worried about it melting down?

    • @urdonercjeremyburris7541

      Jeremy Burris it’s a high kv motor that’s less than 50mm in length running tall gears under a lot of throttle.

    I don't think the bomber was designed to be a basher.

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  4 года назад

      Well it’s not really a crawler either. Kind of a beast for all of it?

      @@ExocagedRC mine works best as a trail runner. It's a very modded, my go to rig.
