My wife Siobhán and her sister Áine have crocheted and knit baby blankets and angel cribs for premature and stillborn babies in the Rotunda Maternity Hospital in Dublin. Thinking of these babies, their families and the wonderfully dedicated staff at the Rotunda inspired me to write this lullaby.

There is so much beauty in your interpretation. The sounds of your guitar resonate in the beyond.
The last notes invite us to silence…. As they say in France when this silence lasts: it looks like an angel is passing.

Very nice piece. Every sound of your guitar is wonderful. To hear that there is something more in this piece. .....I read Jens Kommnick's letter about the Rotunda Maternity Hospital workers. I don't even know what to write, no words come out of me. They really deserve this piece.

AND… this sounded in some very strange way more ”singing-like” than usually… it was so touching.

All of Jens' pieces have a little story. I wrote Jens words in my info. A little sad, but still comforting and beautiful music.
I used my gropp guitar this time, but with a capo. I also tried it without the capo (like the steel string original) but I liked the capo version better. It certainly has something to do with my guitar and the nylon strings. The Gropp is very good at it!

I never was a huge capo fan, but over the years I've been much more accepting of them. Great job, and wonderful video!

My Gropp guitar has a great sound with a capo. I also tried the piece without the capo, like in the original, but I liked it better with the capo.
@@GuenterGeurts Funny how a capo can make a huge difference! A guitarist on youtube put a capo on his guitar for Cullare la Tempesta (3rd fret) and it just sounded right.

Fließt 4:44 wunderbar und leicht durch.
Obwohl ich es 'ohne' nicht kenne,
gefällt mir dieses Stück mit Kapo glaube ich besser.

Bei deiner Romanze habe ich mich ja für meine alte Gitarre entschieden. Ich wollte diesen warmen, gemütlichen Klang.
Für dieses Stück mußte es meine neuere Gitarre sein. Mario Gropp hat sie für mich gebaut. Sie hat schon einen speziellen Klang, auch mit Capo im 5.
Jens spielt es auf Stahlsaiten und ohne Capo. Ganz anders, aber wunderbar. Er ist ein wahrer Klangzauberer.
