Thank you. Love your garden. Spotted the Echinaceae next to the Ashwaganda. I have Ashwaganda growing in the backyard. Looks healthy but only a few months of growth. I appreciate the detail on how to use the plant and look forward to your other videos.
Thank you! This was very helpful. We use ashwagandha powder for dogs in our rescue as it helps them with anxiety, and have recently started growing it and needed help understanding how to harvest.
Mine naturalize and also most come back after the freezing winter nights in So. Calif. Birds like the seeds and spread them. Pretty drought resistant mostly.
I planted 3 Ashwaganda plants this year (NE Ohio) for the first time! They did not get as large as yours but are ready to harvest the roots! Looking forward to your other video's
Wondering can you eat leaves or branches would anyone know Would be interesting to know it is a great 🌿 herb gives me a lovely spiritual feeling, I have grown some from seeds, just 3 inches high at the moment, great video thanks.
Yo what. I've been reading up on Ashwaganda and just bought the roots online. But after seeing this vid I just realised Ashwaganda is growing everywhere out in the open near where I live. It's almost like a weed.
This video is particularly helpful. This is one of the medicinals that I would like to start growing here in VA. I have not seen any locally sold as plants or seeds. Do you have a recommendation for where to buy these seeds online? I look forward to the next video showing you processing! 👍
@@plantabundance I'm three weeks in on some ashawaganda seedlings. I get the same powder but was worried about lead and such. Plus it's always better when you grow your own.
Thank you for this video :) . Is there a specific age that Ashwaganda needs to be harvested by? Your video shows what looks like a lovely tender root system of mostly fairly fine roots, whereas my plant which I just uprooted has 4 or 5 main roots about the thickness of my thumb, which taper off to about the thickess of my little finger with not very many finer roots beyond that. It does smell pungent, but if it's a horse it's a slightly 'sweet' horse... Thank yiu :)
How did you get your plants? Would you recommend? How did it go? I have something similar growing wild in my backyard, but not sure it is the same, but it is a weed that has "paper husks" of similar shape, that contain berries. Does anyone know what it might be? I am in the Midwest, USA
You just pop the berries and dry the seeds out? How come I'm reading that eating the berries can be unsafe? I have so many questions i just bought my first plant and it's now fall..i have it under t5 lamp and going to grow it all winter of course. My problem is do i top the plant or just let it keep growing straight?
Thank you so much! I am going to harvest my Ashwagandha roots today,

Yes! Have to look for those on my next trip to the dollar store 👍
Wonderful video. Very informative and full of great information. Until recently, I had never heard of Ashwagandha. Thanks for another great post.

Can you use the leaf?
I wonder if when it starts to branch out you cut those back to prune like a tree and you get bigger thicker root systems to harvest?
Can you please tell me where can I get the seeds?
Can the root be cut and plant replanted?
Thanks
Question: How can I identify the Ashwagandha root available in market to ensure the authenticity?

I have 60 acres land with Dem water ( rain water ) the soil small sendy and Black.. its posible for Ashwagandha ??
Ashwagandha needs sandy soil that doesn't hold much water moisture . The dryer the soil, the better
