Ben I work a physical job on top of training (I run and bike for cardio as well + lifting). Guessing I need to up my calories to maintain the 300-500 calorie deficit?
Probably. Otherwise you will lose weight quite fast at a potentially unsustainable rate. You would probably lose more muscle, and your metabolism would slow down, making it harder to keep losing weight.
If you don't want to calculate your calories, just increase your food slightly until you're consistently losing 1-2 lbs/0.5-1kg bodyweight per week. If you're losing over 2lbs/1kg per week, that may not be sustainable.
