The only reason Toji didn’t kill Geto is because the assassin was concerned with what’ll happen to all of the cursed spirits the sorcerer wields. Toji didn’t know if the spirits would be released or die with Geto. So Toji spared Geto within an inch of the ladder’s life.
He wanted to spare himself the trouble of possibly dealing with the consequences of killing Geto, since Toji is not one to work for free 😅

Well we finally got our answer as to what would have happen, and easy to say he was right o be cautious.

Geto’s voice sounds fine, y’all gotta talk to more people irl. How old is Geto, 16-18 here? Once you hit the depth of puberty your voice stays the same for the rest of your life, and that can happen as early as 11 for some guys.

Geto's voice isn't bad, but Toji's definitely doesn't fit. I think its just jarring to hear their voices together in one scene because it just feels mismatched. I think if Toji's voice actually fit him then people wouldn't be saying much about Geto's voice since it wouldn't be as jarring

Mappa did an amazing job extending the fight between Geto and Toji, since in the manga Toji didn't fly around and do all that crazy stunts bro just straight up killing the rainbow dragon and the mouth slit woman without even breaking a sweat
i currently got my best friend to rewatch jjk with me and rewatching it for the 3rd time around i must say i’m much more appreciative of this scene. This fight scene was beautifully executed by mappa! I also started watching Hell’s Paradise & amazing work they did in that as well!

I'm still baffled on the "i named my cursed spirit megumi" part. I think he just named his actual CURSED SPIRIT "megumi" so it'd be easier to recall his sons name.

I dont dislike Toji’s voice. I like the rasp of it and it not being so deep makes him sound more ice cold. I would personally prefer a deeper voice, but I still like this voice.

I like that its not too deep. It helps sell how casual Toji is. He's the best and he knows it, nothing these kids throw at him can faze him.

Geto has the ability to absorb cursed spirits that are at least 2 levels beneath him unconditionally and he’s a Special Grade sorcerer so, any curse below Grade 2 would be immediately absorbed and any curse at Grade 1 or above would have to be weakened first before it can be absorbed. However, the Inventory Curse had a close enough relationship with Toji that Geto couldn’t immediately absorb it.

Why couldn’t geto absorb wormie? Was he wrong in this estimation about the gap in power between him in the curse? did Toji intentionally counter or just get lucky? I feel like he could’ve took this fight if Toji didn’t have his bag.
the curse is really weak. The reason he couldn't absorb it is cuz he realized theres a condition he never realized regarding his ct. Toji and his curse have a master servant relationship, so the only way to absorb the curse is to cut that relationship by killing toji so that the curse becomes independent and can be absorbed. Thats the reason why geto wanted to kill yuta before trying to absorb rika, because of yuta and rika's relationship

Gege did a great job writing that- where when geto is older in JJK0 he knows he has to kill Yuta for sure. Now the question is- can anyone form a master / servant relationship with a curse weaker than them? Was Toji special in this by having 0 cursed energy? Binding vow? Getos whole thing that makes him special is curse manipulation- don’t tell me fucking inumaki can have a ton of weaker curses follow his commands.

And technically speaking yea sorcerers can form relationships with curses but there’s no merit in doing so, because that can only happen with absolutely weak curses like the worm, and the only reason why toji has it is cuz he uses it to store his curse tools, otherwise there’s no need for it. It would be useful for someone like maki to have it, but for anyone else it’s not cuz it’s unnecessary

@@Thegoat90210because toji’s the only one who have so many curse tools in his arsenal. Yuji doenst have a curse tool, nanami only has 1 tool and so does mei mei. Also you can only have this relationship with a curse as weak as that worm. It’s impossible to have that relationship with any curse even slightly stronger since they’re hostile to humans. Also toji needed to train that work like a pet just the way you train a dog, confirmed by the author. Curse manipulation can literally absorb any curse as long as you’re stronger and you can use it to fight, and have zero limitations on how many tou can absorb. Even a curse as weak as the one yuji and nobara fought in season 1 episode 3 is impossible to tame it. The curse worm is the only one capable
