I will be pairing another pair this weekend myself as you would have seen I leave these guys to it normally for 2 weeks if I see the male making fresh sperm webs I take that as a good sign of a successful mating ., good luck my friend 👍
I prefer the mesh also, never had a problem not once over 15+ years of keeping tarantulas, arboreal, terrestrials, fossorial, none of them have ever gotten stuck
I am new at this for the most part, but sometimes I think that some of the problem may be building the enclosure decorations completely all the way up to and torching the top screen. To me it seems like doing so provides more opportunity for the specimen to "travel" that route touching the screen on a more continuous basis.
I just found an early video that I hadn't seen. I heard you say, I believe, that you were going to leave the male in with her overnight. Do you happen to recall if they ever successfully mated or if she ate him? I tried to find a follow-up video but couldn't be sure it was this same pair.
Have you ever had a tarantula chew through the mesh? I have an A. Geniculata that I can tell has been on the mesh through the night...Worry that she is trying to get out and may succeed, lol.
He was too afraid....he was terrified of her, you say? Yeah, can't blame the poor chap. Especially when the women in his life have a tendency to....oh, I don't know.....kill and eat him either before or immediately after he does the dirty deed 😂

The metallica are pretty good with each other I often leave to co-habit for a week at a time with no problems 👍

I ordered a breeding pair from spiders world, my male looks nothing like yours the black on the abdomen is none existent
The black comes with age in the females and the males tend to go a grey colour in maturity .👍
Love those little feets💞 or big feets lol
😛
Did the male end up getting eaten?
No he lived we co-habited them for a couple of weeks 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties that’s awesome!
Did they ever mate?
Yes I paired them but they did not take unfortunately.
