Very helpful video but the background music at least on mobile devices is completely boof making it difficult to hear the instructions but the video tips and the help in the video make it very clear and helpful
I put a set of AMP BOARDS on my 2012 GMC and they worked great. I heard a rattle on my way to Virginia from Texas last week and found my driver side pin/bushing wore out. I cleaned and lubed them regular but using the driver side the most wore them out. I dont see that the bushings are replaceable so ill have to bore the wore out bracket and fabricate a bushing. Lucky I have a machine shop and some oil impregnated brass to rebuild the part. 11 years and 170K miles aint bad.
I was just curious as to where you purchased those custom needle nose crimping pliers? Nothing like squeezing a round connector flat!I really hope this was his personal vehicle and not a customers vehicle, Because that is some really shotty work!
Just put a set of the XLs on my F-150. Love the steps themselves, but was disappointed with the lights. You'd think that for $1,800 you'd get a decent set of lights that are brighter than a $2 flashlight. Ordered a much better set to replace them.
I'm a dissatisfied customer.... the relays overheat and they get stuck from dust and dirt but absolutely zero off-road use...in fact the driver side stopped working on me yesterday. they won't be my next power step purchase! But hopefully they get it figured out for y'all!
@Shugga leaf Sorry to hear about your trouble. I am with the technical support team here at AMP Research. I saw your comment and wanted to take a moment to reach out and see when you may have time this week to run through some trouble shooting on your PowerSteps? I would be happy to reach out over the phone to see if I can help resolve the current situation. You can either DM me through IG or FB or send us an e-mail with your contact info to Support@Amp-Research.com. Just make sure to ask for Robert and I will see what I can do to get you taken care of.
@@ilovetoyotatrucks i am curious to see if the issues were resolved. and your experience with support. I am looking into these as my next power steps and want good and bad side of how things go with the boards and customer service. thanks
It is the same motor. When u buy the normal amp power steps u only get one motor and the other one is just a hinge. With the extreme u get two motors instead of one.
Well it would be clear that these steps won't double as rock sliders. I would like something that will protect the rocker panels as well as the ease of us of these steps.
I'm a little disappointed at the cheap plastic motors. Power wheels toys have these and they break all the time. That's the only thing holding me back since I live in Canada and winters are pretty bad here. The plastic will get very brittle.

@@ilovetoyotatrucksyeah, what’s the status? I’m guessing it’s all fixed since you ghosted?
The extreme motor housing looks the same at the regular one so why pay more?

CAN THESE STEPS BE INSTALLED IN EXPEDITION XLT 2012?
Ya but you have to look up the steps made for that year make and model
That is not a 2018 unless you changed out the grill to a 15-17 model year.
