Welcome aboard and this makes a great first plane. Now if you will be flying off grass primarily I recommend the Arrows bigfoot, this is a complete setup video on it.:ruclips.net/video/Gh8l1FvIanU/видео.html

Another great video, and a sweet plane. I'm currently still flying my first-ever plane, a Volantex Ranger 600 that I got back in the spring, but after my first couple of flights I was already looking to upgrade. This Ranger was the first one that caught my eye, especially because you can get it with pontoons, but I think I've settled on the 1300MM PA-18 Super Cub, mainly because I 'll mostly be flying on a grass field, and there's just something about a tail-dragger that I love. Now I just have to save a few pennies and pull the trigger - but as a new pilot, I've learned a lot from your videos, so thanks from Canada!

Take big wheels and if possible floaters for water or snow (!!) :)

foe filed stuff i agree with Ficosk8 tundra tires and floats give you more options. BUT be warned on the PA 1300 You will need a 7 channel receiver to use ALL the options. not only do you have the normal 5 channels throttle, aileron, elevator , rudder and flaps but you will also have thrust reverse and the reflex gyro system (both require a receiver port) Now the good news is that the Reflex system handes your gyro needs so no need for a receiver like a EXPENSIVE Spectrum 8 channel (they dont offer a 7 channel) that would run way over $100 all you need is a simple receiver that has AT LEAST 7 channels. I highlet recommend the Lemon rc GEN 3 7 channel one it will run you about $20 and will handle everything on the fMS pa 18 1300mm .
Here is a link for the receiver: www.motionrc.com/products/lemon-7-channel-dsmx-compatible-receiver-with-diversity-antenna-lm0081?bg_ref=Rvec3zLedV&tid1=FAT+GUY+FLIES+RC

@@FatGuyFliesRC Great receivers LemonRX! Also the ready to go 7Ch with gyro. But they don´t have auto stabilisation and are more tricky to set up. Reflex are pretty cool for all FMS planes or now with the V3 for every plane.
