I've used an android unit from EKIY(T7 8G 128G) on my mk3 mondeo for a little over 10 months now and it has not given me any hiccups, until a few days ago, the wireless carplay is acting somewhat up BUT it works fine again after a little forcing through the settings on the iphone. But its been working flawlessy before this and recently I also connected a macro keyboard with a volume knob directly to it through the USB cable and it will work like a regular volume knob and/or play/next/prev inputs. So the only downside I've had is this slow connection to wireless carplay. It's still very fast responding after 10 months! Next project for me is to add a capacitor for the ignition so it doesnt turn off and on again after cranking! Sorry for my english grammar, I'm glad I bought this unit when I did!
Have Ekiy T900 headunit for 2 years now, got 8core, 8GB ram and 128gb. Going so great, wireless apple car is awesome, only downside no firmware update options but google play store still supported.
Hi, Thanks for doing this video, its exactly what I needed as I have been on to EKIY and I'm looking at the T7 for my 2013 Skoda Yeti. They asked for a pic of my current standard head and confirmed the exact T7 model I need to fit it. As you said they respond quickly. On the Skoda standard Bolero unit, when I turn the heated seats and A/C dials, a pic of the seats and the temperatures either side is displayed on the screen. Any idea how this will work with the EKIY T7 unit, will it be displayed automatically or do you think it will need programming? Cheers Ray
If you buy the correct one to be specific to your Yeti then it should come with a canbus box. You should be able to confirm with EKIY if this is correct.
bought the M800s 8gb ram 256g storage and 8 core and great unit but the downside is there is no provision to turn the unit off when doing servicing and as for getting help from Mekede is absolutely hopeless ....had a problem with canbus on steering wheel settings and on this unit the can settings do not work and so does changing buttons in color ..but unit seems fast sound quality is fantastic but just need to turnoff unit when doing servicing
I have the Ekiy Rs 4gb 64gb model over a year now and it's still buttery smooth and i've never experienced any lag at all I compared it to my cousin's Joying headunit which he payed over $450 for and it's the same exact thing including software except his cpu is 1.8 ghz vs my 2.0ghz same uis7862 processor and his is 9 inches vs my 10 inch screen. 2 minor problems i've experienced with this headunit is sometimes maybe once every 3 months when its turned on the screen goes blank & audio plays so i just restart car and its back to normal and 2 the equalizer goes to flat when the car hasn't been turned on for over 2 days but again goes back to normal after you drive after about 5 mins. I added a mini 4 channel android plug and play amp to boost speaker volume, 4 infinity reference speakers and a spare tyre subwoofer and it surprises a lot of people with no wires or subwoofer showing

@@kevinsmith7230 its a bit of a minefield for Meriva B as the canbus doesn't usually play well with the rear door sensor. This unit is fantastic but you would still need a suitable harness and canbus decoder

I did message them here several times, and though they answered some of my questions, they did not answer all. Some are basic ones like - "What are included in the box? This is impt for me esp for the cables & adapters included since I do not wish to have any wire splicings during installation. They have not confirmed so I am not even sure if the facia is included or not bec they did not reply on this one. This matters to me bec I wish for my final install to look factory just like yours. I wonder if our location has anything to do with it. With buyers from the UK being serviced by staff who are more fluent in English vs where I am since I reside in Asia.
I start installing same unit yesterday on a Ford Mondeo , for some reason won't stay ON more than 5min without ACC on more - basically won't stay on more than 5 min without ignition. If I set it up to stay on 5min when I turn it off the screen goes off but audio is still on until the 5min runs out- not sure if this is setting related, couldn't find anything but is very annoying.
Anyone having trouble with the usb? Mine stopped working after a month, i sent it back for repair, took them 2 months to send a fixed/repaired one back, worked for 3 days and again the USB ports are not working. I tried lots of different settings but nothing works. I really love the unit, when it worked it was absolutely perfect.
Hey, i've been struggeling to make the steering wheel controls work on my Honda Civic with the Ekiy T7. Have you connected the Key1, k2 or GND? how did it work for your unit and car? In my civic i have a second small LCD display for my climat controlls and Time/Date, so i have a Connects2 thing that should make it possible to get both (the second LCD and the steering wheel controls). But its just not working. Do you have some info. that could help me? tanks! :)
Mine just plugged straight in, I didn't need a connects2 as I think the key 1/2 connects direct to the original steering control wires. Maybe it's the connects thing thats the issue?
Hey i can help u with that, i had the same problem 1. Remove head unit and get the name of the canbus located on itself 2. Open "SETTINGS", then "FACTORY" input password 3368 3. Select "CAR MODEL" under "CAN BUS type" select the name of the canbus, mines is "RZC" then choose your vehicle model, make and year. And it should work instantly.
@@littleoz2 no man. I had to jump a cable so the steering wheel controls work but now the option to adjust the Date and Time on the little separate screen on the civic does not work anymore. I think the radio came with the wrong Canbus (Connects2) cause I had to cennect an adapter also for the radio antena connector (which normaly the correct Canbus comes with).
@@TBT.StoriesI got a civic 2013. Everything works apart for my the phone buttons. Vol up/down prev/next song work if I select civic (low) although mine should be (high) as I got the sat nav stereo. In regards to the time in the I-mid. Do what I do, which is disconnect the battery for 30 minutes. Then reconnect it. At 1am/pm (either) insert your key back int he ignition and start the engine. The time will reset to 1 o’clock. I can’t seem to learn new buttons aswel. Nothing happens when I try to learn a new button
@baconbuttties normally on other android unit it 5.1 (2 front and 2 rear plus sub woofer rca). T7 8gb I got has only 2.1 (front left & right plus subwoofer) . I don't understand 8 wires?
@trucphan3718 not possible, I checked with the manufacturer. We'll I think it's possible but we need more knowledge, I think firmware need changing and then would be possible.

It's not like 'all' these companies don't use the same style and spec of camera so it's only the clever software doing the image stitching, no doubt pioneered for stitching Google street car images into fake 3d so it's probably open source anyway.
Man these are old now, if u want more of a quality product go for dudu7 or mekede m7 with a uis7870 chipset, more expensive but they leave these models for dead
DONT BUY IT!!! I got one 5 months ago and the 3th day after the installation started having problems. No audio, the touch opened apps and close them by it self changing even time and date. I ended up returning it and bear the cost of it my self. Terrible costumer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you go to factory settings, you can set off delay, mine does not turn off while cranking when set to 3 sec!!
How's the capacitor for the ignition work? Any way you could share a link to a video on it? Not even sure what to search!

Once you connect the rear camera, how do you get it to work when you put the car into reverse?
You have to connect wire to positive reverse light
can you get a suround for older cars ?
I think you can get a surround and mount that would fit the original single din.
Does this have a built in microphone or do you have to route cables for a wired one?

The T7 version I bought is fantastic and works very well. The sound quality is fantastic as well.

You need ignition on I expect as the car is shutting the feed.

It is a great unit, shame you are having USB problems. Have to say I have had no issues at all.

Got the t7 8gb but only front two speakers work the rear two doesn't. How to fix it?
All speakers should work... Re check all wiring

T7 has 360 option also! half price to teyes, also support from EKIY is snappy! actually i thik saab channel worked with both, check that out
