hello, I have a few questions, when for example a person speaks to me in Spanish and I want it translated into English, where do the glasses listen to what the other person is saying, from the phone or from the glasses themselves? Can I use them for navigation? How to use chatgpt with them, I talk to them and they answer my question or?Also can you show all that the app offers?

Thank you for your questions. The Z100 glasses use your phone's microphone (or any other wired or Bluetooth microphone connected to your phone). Depending on your phone, the microphone can sometimes accurately pick up people's voices even when it's in your pocket though.
Navigation wise, they work fully with Google Maps but currently only on Android. They display the next turn information (distance and type of turn), road name, your remaining journey time, remaining distance and ETA.
There is currently no way to display ChatGPT questions or answers in the glasses but we hope this will be coming in a future update.
Other than Captioning and Navigation, the Connect app also has a Fitness feature. This allows you to choose from Walking, Running or Cycling and shows your distance travelled, miles per minute and duration.
If you'd like to have your own personalised remote demostration of the glasses, please feel free to get in contact with us.
We plan to do another video on the Z100 before the end of the year so please keep a look out! Thanks again and do let us know if you have any further questions.

Good demonstration! Does the app come with the Z100 or do you have to buy it separately? How much does the app cost? Thank you.

Thank you Mike! The Connect app is completely free and is available from the Play Store or iOS store. Just search for "Vuzix Connect" and it should appear.

    Hello Ellis,
I have a few questions regarding the Vuzix Z100 Smart Glasses.
The video mentions a translation feature within the Vuzix Connect app. Could you confirm if it supports translation from English to Cantonese? Additionally, can the Vuzix Z100 display translation results in Chinese?
Furthermore, if the Vuzix Z100 Smart Glasses are connected to an iPhone via Bluetooth and I use translation apps like Microsoft Translator or Google Translate, would the glasses be able to display translation results in Chinese?

      Hi Eric,
Thanks for your questions. For your first one, yes, the Connect App supports supports translation from English to Chinese (CN), HK (Hong Kong) and TW (Taiwan). It's two way translation so you can switch translating from English to Chinese and Chinese to English.
In answer to your second question, not currently. Other than information from its own Connect App, the Z100 will only display phone notifications, so doesn't currently support 3rd party apps.
      Hope that helps!
      Ellis

Couple questions. What is distance range for Z100 operation? Will live verbal text work in group setting with multiple people talking or just one on one? I'm far sighted so how would I get proper lens to work with Z100 text display. Thanks

Thanks for your question Sue. The Z100 connects to your smartphone over Bluetooth and the most extreme test we've done is in a crowded exhibition hall where we managed to move over 30 metres away from the glasses and they still maintained their connection to the Samsung S23 Ultra phone they were paired with and we could see the conversation the people on the stand were having. Different phones will have different ranges but the absolute minimum should be 10 metres.
In a group setting, it works quite well but not if two or more people are speaking at once over each other at the same volume.
The good news is that if your far sighted you wouldn't need any presription lenses. The projected text actually appears to the eye as if it's in the distance, hence you only need corrective prescription lenses if you're short sighted.
Hope that helps, any other questions, please just ask!
