The minced pork meat isn't really raw because the acid from the lemon and the fermented greens added in the beginning will 'cook' the meat so it is like pork ceviche. If in doubt, research :)

@Malika Bee Eating raw pork is a cultural thing. Consequences aren't. 10 thousands new cases of trichinosis each year in China, probably more than the rest of the world combined, shows this clearly. Probably next on the list is Thailand (around 500 each year) since traditional new year dish with undercooked pork meat. Why in your opinion an average life expectancy is now longer than back in days when everyone ate only homegrown organic food? Few hundred years of medicine into the bin because now we have internet geniuses. SMH
Raw minced meat is also a delicacy in Germany and a total normal thing to eat on bread. We also sell blood sausage on the supermarket shelf. It's not just an asian thing.
I’m a vegetarian and this way of food preparation should be adapted by western cultures (AMERICAAAA) . Meat should be savored and appreciated with family as a luxury item . The way America processes meat is reckless , but supply and demand people ...
I don’t know if you’re trying to say that were using up too much of our meat supply but cows live in a controlled environment and can be remade 1000 times over. Maybe fish should be something you’re concerned about
In Argentina (which is also part of AMERICA, which is a continent, not a COUNTRY, the United States is only one more country in the long list) they use blood to make blood sausage call “morcilla”. I do not understand why they call themselves AMERICA, they are only part of North America, along with Canada. You don't study the maps in the schools?

It was a freshly killed pig which was then served right away. She also put that fermented or pickled vegetable in it. I'm no pro but I think that might have helped keep the pork safe from contamination. I'm guessing all of that combined might have made it safe to consume? Lol just a guess.

@@mariuszfurman6531 well, as far as I have read, you really shared a lot of medical informations here. It is fine but a little bit inappropriate since most of people know the fact and just wanted to enjoy a simple video after a long day. I also have a medical background and would like to correct something because clearly you have some missunderstanding. 1. This dish is a tiny one of the reasons because in other parts of China we don't have this habbit. 2. When you talk about something unhealthy, you can not neglect the dose of it. They do not eat that every day, maybe only once or twice a year. As you can see, a lot of family members shared one dish. 3. Give your IgE molecules some chances to fulfill their jobs instead of causing stupid allergies. In general, pets also have a lot of parasites even if you give them vaccinations, however, no one should convince anyone to throw their pets away. This issue is more than culture, just like smoking, it is a life style. Even if it is unhealthy, it would be quite impolite to catch everybody smoking on the street and repeat the saying that the smokers have heard thousands of times.

The minced pork meat isn't really raw because the acid from the lemon and the fermented greens added in the beginning will 'cook' the meat so it is like pork ceviche. If in doubt, research :)
😯
Bullshit. By your logic, even if you take raw freshly cut meat, the acid in our stomach will cook the meat.
@@JohnFuckingDoe The acid decomposes the proteins in the meat or fish and therefore ferment it.

Love traditional life. Now the new generation who grew up here in USA will look at this and not want to get in on the traditional labor of preparing feast because they think its not need. All they want is McDonalds and pizza. Its good to see the family tradition still going strong over there.

I know chain smokers without any worries. They oncologists we only with sleepless nights.
@Malika Bee
Eating raw pork is a cultural thing.

Agreed. Food waste is an atrocity 💔
There would probably be a lot more vegetarians here, if we had to kill and process are own meat.

Yes raw pork gives more than just tapeworm. Can end up dying yeah.... but south korean raw pork is ok coz they keep their pigs in cleaner conditions.
@@yahmahnomeh Really? Can you guarantee 100%? Feed production links, water sources, food tanks, may infect the eggs of the worms, and then parasitize them on pigs. There is no scientific means to detect the eggs of the tapeworms. In those cases that are parasitized by pork tapeworms and beef tapeworms, most of them have the habit of eating raw meat, or half of the meat, tapeworms and their offspring thank people for not killing them with high temperature

I thought you are not suppose to eat raw pork? I am not sure it is pork just a guess. It all looks so good. What a terrific cook she is. Is This group is all family and live close? What a joy to have family all sitting together, enjoying the bounty of the land and conversation with each other.
It was a freshly killed pig which was then served right away. She also put that fermented or pickled vegetable in it. I'm no pro but I think that might have helped keep the pork safe from contamination. I'm guessing all of that combined might have made it safe to consume? Lol just a guess.

And your guessing is as wrong as them. China is the world "leader" in cases of trichinosis each and every year. This dish is one of the reasons.
@Mariusz Furman you're literally just replying the same thing to every single person who has commented about eating the raw pork.. Let them continue their culture as they please and dont worry about it. Nobodys making you eat any of their food

Eating raw meat is considered a delicacy in some countries. It is part of their food culture and there is no negative effect because their body can handle it. Example, eating raw seafood, fish or sashimi in Japan. Some people eat raw beef or horse meat as well.
