Why is nobody talking about how Phyllis looks so old?
*She practically became younger as the show went on!!!*
Feels like everyone was made to look quite drab in the first season to mirror the British show, but as it found its own identity everything started to look more neat and tidy
She got money, expensive skincare, facials, & maybe a few surgeries
Because she met Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration
Can we talk about how Phyllis turned around when Michael said “ooo discipline kinky” and in later episodes she was turned on by 50 shades
That’s what it’s like for everyone
When you realize Dwight kept his phone locked away to protect it from Jim
Well after the time he kept putting nickles in the handset......
@@tyfenrir and then he hit is head with it
Jim is not the guy to keep your phone around
Don't forget when he worked Dwight's phone to his own including his Bluetooth
@@imkool51391 I think that's what the original comment meant. That he locked up the phone so Jim didn't do any pranks on it.
I do believe Michael has changed for the better
San Ban did you hear the reason why he changed?
We all did
Zaxhys why did he change?
@@zaxhys4053 Yep, marketing.
@@zaxhys4053 I didn't. What's the reason?
Season 1 is criminally underrated, the camera angles, reactions and awkwardness is more realistic, whereas later seasons (with more money and viewers) seemed more like a sitcom with 4th wall breaking
Exactly, It felt more alive.
I don’t like the first season. I watched the uk office first and the USA is very similar in the first season. Felt like they copied to uk one too much
@@nathanbell9274 that's true and when it comes to these specific things as described in the original comment, that was better
Finally someone who also like 1st season.
They changed the colour scheme making it more sitcommy in later seasons, all realism gone, pranks were impractical, super funny Kevin becomes lame, Kelly is unbearable, the show got alienated from the real office theme
"I have been recommending downsizing since I first got here. I even brought it up in my interview."

Jim Halpert ladies and gentlemen 😂
Except that joke completely fails cause it's a different kind of jello.
Ham Burglar yeh in the uk version, Tim is eating the same colour jelly and also from a jelly cube pack which is used for making lots of jelly like that and Imo that obviousness makes it so much funnier than when Jim did it. ( love both versions btw)

Bright side of Todd Packer
i hated him in the beginning. He was so annoying😂
Mikhahl your cool
He was like David brent.
I like how in the very first episode they show how messy Jim is and don’t do an episode about it until the last season of the show
I mean in his barbecue he kicked a plastic water bottle under his bed and said he didn't do a very good job cleaning up, like his room is normally very messy, but yeah, they could have talked more about it in between
Pam brought it up when she set Michael up with her landlady who according to Michael was like a kind old lady on a bus. Pam said she would move in with her boyfriend who is also kind of a slob.
Jim isn't messy, thats just Dwight pulling the ultimate prank on him.
I do think that both michael and jim are adhd. In different spectrum of course
I think we would all like to see Michael's reaction when he saw that Jim put the Worlds Best Boss mug in Jell-o
Miguel Ray ruclips.net/video/zonDZhNoiFk/видео.html
He'd most likely be annoyed first then be happy and say -

Or, “Jim stop pudding Dwights things in jello.”
Some more words to work with: parfait, and mousse 😎👍
But that would have been funny
Michaels not allowed to do that
This pilot looks good, someone should pick them up. Thinks its gonna be a hit.

The Best Boss - “Michael Scott”.
3:11
The only time Michael wanted Dwight to share something about himself: “tell him about the king-fu and the car, and everything.”
Who else knew that Jim and Pam would end up together when Pam laughed at the stapler in jello?
I knew they would end up together before the start of the show, because they did so in the UK version.
Jackson Gibbs no clue
Even I knew
They are the by far the cutest couple in a TV series I've seen.

She is so perfect!
Dwight is signing Angela’s favorite song at 1:09
2:00 I don't know why, but the way Dwight uses the same tone when saying "downsizing" in two different shots is hilarious to me.
That's what I thought too!
The day I watched the Pilot episode I thought: this will be an amazing story
The pilot was just a word for word remake of the UK version, this version of the Office only became amazing when they started writing original scripts.
@@BroskiRIP That doesn't mean he didn't like it enough to have that thought regardless? Besides, many saw the American version before the original.

The Office is the perfect show to put on in the background. Top 3 sit-com of all-time for me.
PFFFFT
It helped me too. At the end of 2013, it was rough. I’d been super sick. My hair fell out. I just wanted to be somewhere else and not in my life. God, my new puppy Otis, and the Office - brought me through with constant prayer, having to care for a new puppy, and laughter all contributed to pulling me back out. they didn't just change his hairstyle, he got a hair transplant after season 1 because he was actually balding
@@albanveshti2369 Do you have any evidence to prove this? It looks to me in the first season that they gave him a really bad haircut and they slicked it back. Then after the first season he had professional hairstylist who knew how to add body to his hair.
@@albanveshti2369 that's definitely not true , you can tell when he changes it that that is the way his usually is, the writers obviously had him slick it back in the first season

i can feel the atmosphere of the “real” office on pilot, stiff and awkward
4:20 rare shot of stanley smiling
It is your birthday, The Office.
Funny how a few of these moments are straight from the UK version. The show got so much better when it became its own thing
Right after the pilot then. Was the only thing it was made the same on porpoise
"It's OK here, but people sometimes take advantage because it's so relaxed."
That's actually completely accurate.
5:30 She acts so good here. She really sounds like a girl that's secretly in love
Jenna is so great as the contrast from the opening scene with Michael horrifying her to Jim making her be alive is brilliant.
1:33 “One word, two syllables, demarcation” the fact that it has 4 syllables 💀😂
It’s cool to see Jim and Pam young again and relive their story.
I luv Pam she has such a innocent face ☺️

I love how throughout the seasons the interviewing spot is just getting farther and farther from that window and then it ends up being on the other side of the room
Dwight saying "one word, two syllables" and then says a four syllable word is an underrated joke.
Good TV shows are remembered but the office will never die
Happy 15th birthday The Office !!
This was back when Michael was exactly like David Brent. After a few episodes of season 2 and later on, Michael was more Steve Carell like. I like that Michael.

I honestly never watched an episode of The Office until 3 weeks ago. Had heard of it when it was making its run on NBC as it was well received by critics and public. I was browsing through Netflix and thought what the hay! This first episode hooked me instantly as sooooooo many great characters and EVERYTHING in this episode made me laugh. But seeing Jenna Fischer in the first few frames and the way she looks at Steve C - so bored , horrified , embarrassed you name it but still her face sooo luminous and natural and then her reaction when Jim puts the stapler in the jello and she laughs so hard. And later when he knows her favorite yogurt she has this little grin. Then the reaction of Dwight, Michael and Ryan to the jelloed stapler and Jim eating the jello as he pleads ignorance . This is the genius of the Office - the human interaction and facial expressions with actors that are so good you feel you know them but also would feel comfortable in their world of the office. Truly a great show !
The best part of Pilot is the whole episode
5:08 I guess you could say Dwight has had enough of *pudding* up with Jim
The stapler in the jello scene is iconic, and when they filmed it they probably had no idea just how big it would become
Well it was sort of iconic in the Original office which came out 4 years earlier
Pam is so cute being all giddy😭
I prefer season 1 over most of later seasons, it feels much more realistic
At 5:37, was I the only one who was expecting another “Ohhh watch out for this guy...?”
One word two syllables, de-mar-ca-tion

When Michael says incalculable people laugh in the back
And then started the Jim staring contest with the camera people
One thing I love about the first season is that the windows are open the office just feels like it’s in cooler building
Phyllis's look over her shoulder awww
I can’t believe Jim is pudding dwight’s things in jello
Dwight: I'm just concerned about damage to company property.
Also Dwight: Holds a fire drill that causes thousands of dollars in damage to company property and destroys a mannequin worth five thousand three hundred dollars.
Workers: What about my 401k?
The government: WASTEPAPER BASKET HAHAHA
This is a perfect argument for when people complain about how the UK office is better. That blunt humour just wouldn’t work for American audiences so they had to change it. For the better.
I love how you made the same mistake and decided one is better than the other. It's just different. By "blunt" you mean intelligent humor rather than clowning? Because your average american sitcom which is made for americans is nothing but clowning. Tell me again how it's better. It's just different audience.
Oh and it's funny how this "perfect argument" is the episode that is the most similar to the UK version.
Plot hmm.. ok I never said one was better then the other dude. I’m a fan of both. I meant it’s a good argument for people who say the UK one is better. Maybe deadpan is a better word then perhaps? And we’re basically on the same page, it is just different audience. So UK humour wouldn’t have worked in America or the show would have got cancelled. 🤷🏻♀️
Plot and exactly this is the episode most similar to UK version and they almost got cancelled and had to change Michael’s character later.
Kramas Music ruclips.net/video/zonDZhNoiFk/видео.html
@@kramasmusic8731 I actually didn't know that it was almost canceled, but it turned out great because we did get 2 masterpieces. Honestly, the american version has enough subtle humor everywhere to be good enough for UK audience as well. I just think it should've ended much sooner. Funny how all these years later, the format that they had to change is suddenly likable because everyone is familiar with characters.. if only people gave everything a proper chance, right?
I actually like how Ryan has fun with Michael there with the puns; how he doesn't fall into the straight man cliche of disliking every moment with the funny character.
When i first saw season 1, i wasn't really into it. Took me 2 weeks to complete it. But the show really changed from s2. But now when i look back at season 1, its actually hilarious and more genuine.
The Holy Trinity:
1: Steve Carell
2: John Krasinski
3: Rainn Wilson
2:50 When Michael mispronounced "incalculable", you can hear a woman chuckle. It's probably the same producer/writer from the bloopers ("Jen"?)
Of course this pops up in my reccomended right after I finish the show
This is so heart warming. I believe it to be the best series ever made.
