I am having similar problem on my 1526. Guess this something that the dealer will have take care of....uggggg but atleast I have an idea. Like you I have been able to find anything on line. Thank you for posting this!!!
I really like my 3016. Mine is an HST which is a real advantage with my beat up old body. It is a 2013 with 780 hours on it. The only issue that I have had with it was a corroded connector that causes it not to crank. I called my dealer and he immediately told me what to check I cleaned the connector and it fired right up. Sorry you had the problem but glad you got it resolved.
I have struggled with this for a few months (1526 shuttle) and my f/r shaft froze just after replacing the hydraulic/trans oil and filter. Just passed 200 hours (froze at 200.4) and now I need to get it to the shop. I will try the fix you suggest and hope I can unfreeze it. I was looking for a grease fitting there without luck. I did find and remove a bolt (moisture drain plug) on the bottom under clutch area and inspected inside. Only surface rust on edge of pressure plate. With luck I will unfreeze the shaft. My dealership no longer sells Mahindra and the others within 100 miles either don't return my calls/online inquiry, or say they can't get to it for months. Thanks for this post!
Man I hate that. I’ve heard those models had similar issues. Mahindra should have done a massive recall because the cost to resolve these issues are not cheap
@@LifeOnTheRidge ...Why should they recall them when they have dumbasses like us that buy them and have to take it back to the Mahindra Shop when all kinds of shit goes wrong on these pieces of shit. Ive got one and it is the Worst machinery I have ever encountered and this includes a carreer with the railroad and their broken down neglected junk. Mine only has 100 hrs. on it and I've had it 10 years... and its broke down again as I'm speaking. The only good thing on it is the Mitsubishi Engine... the rest is just Junk.
The exact same thing happened to mine and like you I couldn't find anything online about it either, ended up taking it in half in my driveway to figure it out. Also, they will tend to get stuckn in 2 gears at once... so I jeep a 3/4 wrench in the left cup holder 🤣
Gear selector linkage under the seat on my 3016 get bound up sometimes. Take a screw driver move the linkage back in place. Otherwise been a great tractor. 340 hrs
I'm no expert on the mahindra 3016 but I've had two of them torn apart and installed new clutch pressure plate bearings etc. On BOTH the cluch was still usable the PROBLEM was rusted up throw out bearing arm. You you see when he's up order there that silver zinc costed linkage rod.? If you see it bowing when you disengaging the clutch it's probably not the clutch as much as the throw out bearing arm and when you think your pushing in the clutch actually its that linkage rod bowing up. Save yourself $800 plus by first checking that before buying a clutch kit
I bought one new ! Never ever will i buy another mahindra tractor. Junk from the start. Had to have the pto fixed twice start issues. over and over . I bought a MF 135 so I would have a tractor that works and it is 53 years old, not new. Just came in from another start issue and found this . Tractor has under 1000 hours.
I still think Mahindra is a good tractor. I know several people that have them. I think I would buy another one if I ever upgraded. The I only thing is the closest dealer is an hour away now.
Hello, I have a 3016 hst and it's hard to shift most of the time and yesterday just didn't crank at all, I suspect is the starter or if someone can advice, I appreciate it
I have a 2014 3016 HST, has over 700 hrs, it has been awesome on 10 acres, only issue has been fuel glogging in tank to fuel line plugs up, must be some trash that got in. and now the glow plug doesn't work I guess, have to use starting spray when its cold.
@@LifeOnTheRidge I had the same thing happen..... apparently my dealer didnt know to pull the plug because i had that repair done several years ago and i just went out and looked.... low and behold the plug was still there. I pulled it and out poured water.
I think i find it i remove the little 1/4” little plug and guess what is full of rust 😬inside i wish i can post a picture . Is right on the center of the tractor next to from shaft next to a 1 1/2 rubber coupling
I have a larger 2015 Mahindra 2565 Shuttle shift with cab that has a slipping clutch. I have 518 hours and it has been light use. Additionally, the MIS diesel check engine light comes on, that clears after I remove the EGR valve and clean it. I had to replace the EGR valve at $826 improving performance but it still comes on intermittently and then clears. It runs good again after the light clears. I am unclear if there is an emissions problem or fuel rail issue. Has anyone split their tractor to replace clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing and throughout bearing? I have done plenty of cars and trucks, I am sure I can get this done but would like a little guidance on what to expect.
I have a new 1635 that’s doing the same thing. Almost impossible to shift from forward to reverse etc. my dealership says they’ve never heard of this problem. Would you be able to tell me which dealership you used to repair it? I would like to get my dealership to contact them. Thanks
You bought a mahindra. Their will be more problems and soon, very soon , the dealer won’t fix it or he will be out of business. It’s not your luck, it is a typical Mahindra .
@@LifeOnTheRidge with mahindras or massey’s . Both were about dealerships not backing up their warranties. I currently own a kubota, but i would buy JD OR New holland also. blue or green or orange KB from now own. i will cry about the price the first time.

Yeah there’s definitely a flaw with these smaller Mahindra tractors. You think there would be more info online.

Check out one of my recent videos on fixing this issue. It might help you get it fixed!!
Can you make a video showing where that bolt is
Surely this was covered by warranty?
Unfortunately it was not as this tractor was over 10 years old
Where is the plug ?
Bottom of transmission housing
Similar experience,, Mahindra Max26, clutch totally blew out, ( Catastrophic failure ) all rusty inside, Rubber plug not removed

I take it that the work was not covered by warranty?
Unfortunately no. I’m the second owner and it was 11 years old at the time

Best thing I ever did was add a tool box to it. Lol 😂

With only 250 hours on your tractor I'm going to guess it's a loose hose. Good luck and thanks for the video.
Enjoyed the video. Would you buy another marinara?

Mine is the shuttle shift so I’m not sure. I hope it isn’t what happened to mine. Make sure your pto isn’t engaged, that one got me one day

I’m not exactly sure. I’m going to try to figure that out though
If I can ask how much did it cost for the clutch repair???
It’s still painful to talk about. Haha.
$2,400 😢

I got exactly the same year and model number with same symptoms
Can you tell me where is the plug
uh oh! I'm not sure. I didn't see the plug for myself, but the guys at the shop said it's in the bottom of the transmission? 🤷♂️

I have a 1635 that's doing the same thing: Won't shift in reverse. Stuck in forward. Likely going to the dealership.
May i ask what year is your Mahindra? We have one and are just curious. Our is not the same model as yours though.

Always liked Kubota’s minus the price
Did you say "THEY" forgot to remove a plug, and "YOU" had to pay?
You would be correct. But I bought this tractor used. This issue would have been between the original owner and the dealership he bought it from
Sounds like a fluke. I have a 1626 with 900 hours and it's never done that.
That’s awesome! Hopefully that’s the last of my troubles
