While the other versions sound so sad, this one gives a feeling of achieving happiness. I like to imagine Emil at his best when I'm listening to this, alive with his friends and with a new human body.
this is perfect for the final battle in ending A, gives a feeling that all the sacrifices arent for nothing, that Zero fights with both sadness and anger against the one that take away someone important for her
I like to imagine some Intoner version of Mikhail in some timeline sings this, pushing forward to end the mission, even if it means ending himself. Because that's what Zero wanted. And Emil eventually learns of this song.
I just noticed when singing, Emil's voice is accompanied by a more predatory tune that is meshed together with the song's base heroic tune. A nice way to remind us there's no place for any real heroism here.
Imagine Emil finally breaking the immortal curse after learning that Adam managed to cut himself from the network, shortly after to be cut down by 2B, and Eve died in battle wanting to avenge his dead brother. That Emil could finally lay his torment and eternal suffering to rest and meet his friends from all ages and from all parts of the world; Kainé, NieR, Popola, Devola, his sister, Yonah, the conscious part of Pascal (part of himself), Grimoire Wiess and Noir, Shadowlord, Gideon - all sorts of people whom Emil became friends with, and in Death I'd imagine that Emil could easily become friends with his former enemies. What a bittersweet but resounding triumph of joy this would be for my dear boy Emil.
@@PIZZAandHAINZ it's really grindy and repetitive, manageable for f2p players and if you're only for story then story is extremely easy to clear but it's pretty fuckin confusing and we still lack a lot of context for it to get how it even really connects to the DrakenNieR storyline
I was trying to think of what this song reminded me of, and I got it: It sounds a lot like Twilight of the Gods from Fire Emblem Echoes. There's that same tone of hopefulness on the horizon, I love it.
Zero. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. The intoners. Halua and Emil are designated as Numbers Six and Seven respectively. With Yoko Taro I have no idea if that’s actually supposed to mean something when put together or just coincidence, leaning towards the former
You mean, if they are Intoners too ? Considering they're not Replicants nor Gestalts, don't age, and Emil's house has the same color as Tokyo during ending E, I think they're like Brother One. They're pseudo Intoners. Therefore, Emil's song works just like Devola and Popola's.
Emil... What will I do with you in route W ? Shouldn't pseudo Intoners stay together ? Shouldn't you be taken away from such toxic influences (looking at you particularly Kainé) ? As a fan of your Maker, what sould I do ? Decisions, decisions...
Would you mind if I mentioned this theory in my fanfic ? I mean, I had already mentioned in a comment this song was actually sang in real time by him, that it wasn't just audio for the player. That's not stealing, right ? I'll credit you.
@@JabamiLain oh hey go for it. And also, about what you said, Kaine is quite possibly one of the best influences on his life, telling him not to be ashamed of his body and such.
@@thegreatestpurpleone2884 didn't stop her from enabling him and Nier from killing Gestalts. I just don't get it. The Lizard was dead. She later was even allowed to destroy her village, who bullied her. What was the point after that ? Also, one of the points in my fannade route, is that some characters are smarter their canon counterparts. Devola and Popola for example are more active in their roles as manipulators, trying to keep the Shadowlord sane by not leaving him alone with his thoughts, and they try to reactivate Emil as a weapon, growing fond of him over time, but still try to get consent on using his sister's soul for another project I can not develop on, because of spoilers.

Ye he’s happy cuz he’s not in this timeline
not even a new body, just aluve and well
Emil's theme is so full of light and hope, or rather this seems triumphant
It sounds like a final stand....like a last battle for Drakengard before they got to Nier Replicant

Technically Branch B Mikhail would be the closest one of being an intoner since he has the flower.
I believe it.

Hearing this gives me hope that someday we’ll get a third NieR. Iunno... it probably won’t happen, but still.
Well, there is a "third" Nier, which called Reincarnation but it's a mobile gacha and reviews on it is don't really good

This is so good!
I love the trumpet part of this song it so beautiful it unfortunate Nier Reincarnation does have a new Emil version of the song in the saga.
