I'm 74 years-old and this song brings back so many memories of Duane Eddy and his 'twangy' guitar. I was 9 years-young in 1958 and I remember my parents having 'Rebel Rouser' on a 45 rpm record.
Wow takes me back to high school in the '60's. We had a few Duane Eddy 45's at home. Actually Duane Eddy was really a "crossover" musician, both rock and C&W. It was Conway Twitty who failed in rock n' roll and went right over to Nashville.
First time I met Duane was when I got hired to play sax with him at an Everly Bros. show in Kentucky; a benefit for miners. The Everlys were from there...
In fact, I have to congratulate this saxophonist Jim Hoke, very clever having been able to draw the heart from this harmony. Congratulations and greetings from Italy. ruclips.net/video/jMZ9OImuFao/видео.html * Y E P ! * (Duane Eddy - Guild Guitar cover)
@@FrancescoAlcozer make sure you listen to Duane Eddy on Jim's song, "The Floating Zone" just recorded last year!! music.apple.com/us/album/the-floating-zone/1447659466
This song is really very simple to play on a guitar it doesn’t sound good unless there’s a whole band but I still love it anyway it’s a great piece some music 👍🏼🎸😁😎
Duane's records are the reason I started playing sax. Playing with him at this gig was a thrill and he returned the favor by playing on the title song of my album "The Floating Zone".

Go Hoke , Go! I know you are digging the hell out of playing with D.E. Good on Ya!
So so many memories. Thank you

Best guitarist ever. Actually got to see him live in concert with the Everly brothers, something I never dreamed of.

Love this song, is it just me, or does the twang sound a little high?
This guy just simply loves to play
Yes he does!
i'd love to hear him play king of the hill theme
Had to check him out my favorite guitar player Richie Blackmore said he gave him a guitar!
On would think the guy playing the Hammond Organ would lean in to the "Gospel Shout" bag this song implies.
Duane playing a Gretch.
The tongs the thang
So good to see a band who can actually play well and uses a B-3 organ ! instead of a small wanna-be B-3.
