@@ProphetGreg94 in the Bible we dont see someone who has a demon and wants help,, do we? If someone has a demon its someone that knows them that asks for help, I dont believe a believer can have a demon because a believer has the Holy Spirit, its just the enemy tempting you with these thoughts

@@onward8231 With all due respect, you are wrong. just because you don't believe a believer can have a demon doesn't suggest that your belief is true. I wish it wasn't true, but it is. These are things I know to be true from believers I know who have become demonized.

@@ProphetGreg94 From scripture we see what I say is true, and how can a demon indwell someone who has the Holy Spirit who is greater? These thoughts are from the enemy, the flaming arrows. If what you say is true, why would we not see evidence of a person in the Bible seeking to be released from a demon?
Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

@@onward8231 We see that a woman (Jesus calls a daughter of Abraham [i.e., a woman of faith and therefore saved]) had a "spirit of infirmity." It manifested through an ailment; however, it was nonetheless a spirit that Jesus rebuked. And no, we don't see from scripture that your position is correct; rather, the contrary is true. What happened in Aninias and Saphrias case? the Bible explicitly states that "satan filled their heart." Key word, "filled." Were they not Christians? What about Judas? He undoubedtly was a Christian, especially considering the fact that he had performed miracles, healed the sick, and casted out demons (for else could one do that, unless of course this person was ordained by Christ and were saved?). In addition to scripture, I have real life experiences with this. I have cast out demons from Christians. So, how are you going to tell me that I'm wrong? I would suggest a little humility and begin asking me, rather than think you know the answer to this. Because I will tell you what: the sad thing is that if you are wrong and I stand correct, your teaching will be default secure the bondage of Christians who are demonized. The biggest thing to get over is fear--fear that you, as a Christian, can be demonized.

Whoever reads this I hope this helps, there’s numerous of people on here (RUclips) Claiming true believers need deliverance if they are going through any mental or emotional issues and etc.. please take time to read this if you or anyone you know that are facing this false claims, I don’t mean to sound harsh but I’m just so tired of it, it’s spiritual unhealthy and the main main thing it’s unbiblical.
May the Lord lead you guys to his truth, wisdom and understanding.
The generally agreed-upon definition of “deliverance ministry” will usually focus on the casting out of demons or spirits in an attempt to solve problems related to specific demons. For example, a deliverance minister may seek to help someone overcome anger by casting out a spirit of anger. Deliverance ministries also focus on tearing down spiritual strongholds in one’s life, finding inner healing, and claiming the victory in Christ over all enemies. Many refer to soul ties, curses, and the “legal rights” of demons. Biblically, demons or evil spirits are known to be fallen angels that rebelled in heaven with Satan (Revelation 12:4, 9; Isaiah 14:12-20; Ezekiel 28:1-19).
There is certainly quite a bit in Scripture about Satan and his horde of demons. There is little said about deliverance from them, and nothing said about deliverance as a “ministry.” The offices of the church are found in Ephesians 4:11. First were the apostles and prophets, the foundation of the church-with Jesus being the Chief Cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). Next are listed evangelists, then pastors, and teachers. The ability to cast out demons is not listed as a spiritual gift or a ministerial duty.
The Gospels and Acts relate that Jesus and the disciples cast out demons. The teaching portions of the New Testament (Romans through Jude) refer to demonic activity yet do not discuss the method of casting them out, nor are believers exhorted to do so. We are told to put on the whole armor of God to stand against spiritual wickedness (Ephesians 6:10-18). We are told to resist the devil (James 4:7) and not give him room in our lives (Ephesians 4:27). However, we are not told how to cast him or his demons out of others, or that we should even consider doing so.
It is interesting that we have no record of Jesus’ instructions to His disciples on how to cast out demons, with the possible exceptions of Matthew 12:43-45 and 17:19-21, where some insight is given. When the disciples discovered that demons were subject to them in the name and authority of Jesus, they were joyful (Luke 10:17; cf. Acts 5:16; 8:7; 16:18; 19:12). But Jesus told the disciples, “Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven” (Luke 10:20).
Rather than being given a specific “deliverance ministry,” we have an authority in the powerful name of Jesus. One day, John said to Jesus, “We saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.’ ‘Do not stop him,’ Jesus said. ‘For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us’” (Mark 9:38-40). Authority over demons is clearly the power of the Lord at work, whether or not the exorcist has a special ministry of deliverance.
The emphasis in spiritual warfare is highlighted in verses such as 1 John 4:4, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world [the devil].” The victory is ours because of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. Believers can overcome their struggles with the past, habits, and addictions, because “everyone born of God overcomes the world” (1 John 5:4). We need prayer, godly counsel, and the support of a good church, but not necessarily a “deliverance minister.”
We are told to “be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith. . . . And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast” (1 Peter 5:8-10).
The key to victory in the Christian life is to be filled (controlled and empowered) with the Holy Spirit on a moment-by-moment basis (Ephesians 5:18). The Father knows who are His: “Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God” (Romans 8:14). The Holy Spirit will not indwell anyone who is not born again (John 3:3-8; 2 Timothy 2:19; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 3:16), so the first step in spiritual victory is to place our faith in Jesus Christ. Then, rejoice that Jesus is in you and you have His power and His victory.

@@agustinrodriguez5058 I'm doing good. Thank you for asking. Good question. I used to first be oppositional to the idea that a Christian would need deliverance. I always believed that demons existed and could possess unbelievers. But then I became more open over time, especially after pastoring for a number of years and seeing there was a bigger problem with some Christians that I was pastoring that was never getting breakthrough and would have terrible problems. With all that said, I finally opened up to it. I have actually done deliverances on people that I pastor, who had some pretty ugly manifestations. I know them really well, that they are indeed Christians and love God. But with all that said, Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 7 that we must cleanse ourselves from everything that contiminates spirit, soul AND body. We can become contaminated by demons. A demon filled Judas' heart, as well as Annanias and his wife in acts.

Pray, study, and ask him to help you overcome your fleshy desires. The word of God says "The love of God is not in those who are lukewarm and love the things of the world" 1 John 2:15-17 KJV. You have to obey Him and keep His commandments.
Yes Jesus loves you, but only just enough to have patience and mercy in which that patience will eventually run out. We must not be like the world, don't live in sin but strive to enter the kingdom because the road to heaven is not that easy.

@@ProphetGreg94 TRUE; but not according to your understanding; or rather misunderstanding of scripture. It seems as if you heard not a word that onward8231 tried to explain to you... So I'll give it a try. Read John 3:16-21.
Be careful that you yourself not blaspheme the Holy Ghost. Remember in scripture that the pharisees accused the Lord of having a demon when He was actually filled with the Holy Ghost...Matthew 12:22-32.
I'll take the liberty to highlight Verses 31 and 32
"31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."
My point is this... You have no authority nor right to measure another believer's service; and you certainly have no authority to tell a Holy Ghost filled believer that they have a demon or is demon possessed. There is a difference between being possessed; or actually having been overtaken; than one who is being oppressed by the enemy in-which he tries to influence you to actions by suggestive devises.
Think also on this... Of course Jesus didn't have OCD but our Lord and Savoir had Satan in His ear when He was led up of the Spirit and tempted of the devil. Tempted in ever way.. Hebrews 4:15, Matthew 4:1-11
Point being is that the devil is a spirit he was speaking to Jesus in his ear or head not face to face. So are you (like the pharisees) accusing Jesus of having been demon possessed? If not than maybe you shouldn't be on this forum making potentially damning statements that you cannot back up with sound doctrine and rightly dividing the word of truth.
THE DEVIL AND THE HOLY GHOST CANNOT DWELL IN A PERSON TOGETHER.
      As it is also written...
Matthew 12:43-46. 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
The Holy Spirit has driven out the unclean spirits and they will remain driven out as long as the believer continues in the faith and not perpetually backslide.
However.... verse 44 is applied if the Holy Spirit leaves.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Intrusive thoughts? Sounds like slang for. Fuzzy puffy words that actually makes no sense.
Intrusive thoughts are not caused by the "devil"
What is the cause of intrusive thoughts?

Intrusive thoughts are often triggered by stress or anxiety. They may also be a short-term problem brought on by biological factors, such as hormone shifts. For example, a woman might experience an uptick in intrusive thoughts after the birth of a child
