Hi Thomas, May I ask where you sourced those very handy power I/O (rail?) connectors for the R482000e? found possible connectors on Alibaba only. Thanks
I took the connectors and the supplies from a power rack where it was all assembled, when people trash those racks and score the supplies and sell/trade them, i find it sad they dont score the connectors that matches. they are not easy to find alone, the cure for this problem, please folks : only purchase such supplies WITH the mating connectors, only then they understand..
Can you help me with part number of two components on the PCB of vertiv R48 - 4000e? Their label on the PCB are U805 and Q201. I need the part number to help me find replacement, because mine are burnt and I can't read the components part number.
sorry if it is not visible on the video i cant help much, i gave them to a customer of mine who makes robot arms, they need more power, for a wild experiment, so all 3 in parallel made their day
Hello. I am looking for a modification for my huawei 4850A psu, the psu is 53.5 volts and i am looking for a adjustable voltage modifcation between 36 and 48 volts. Do you have an idea how to do this? The video's that i have found on RUclips about this mod are not very clear. best regards Egon
you need to dig into its voltage feedback and hack it, i normally add a 10 times larger resistor in parallel with top og bottom resistor and see i can move the voltage 10% up or down, then i know i found the right place to play.
@@TeardownOZ2CPU Thanks for responding so fast. The voltage feedback is normaly with a opto coupler? This psu is very complicated and very hard where to find the voltage feedback for me😵💫 there is also an option for Communication over RS485. mabye is there someone who did this and hopfully made a video from it
i have some of the same types of power supplies (from 4G Huawei celltower). It's quite normal for these to ramp up the fan if there is no load or if the output voltage goes under/under what it is supposed to be, because that means something is NOT right. So it's a failsafe.
@@Dinesh-Bhardwaj Not in the case of the Huawei R4859G2 that I have a set of. They run just fine in offline mode and it only ramps up the fan if you program the offline mode voltage to be higher or lower than the factory programmed one, or if you make it upset. The fan control is pretty weird, and I modified mine with a fan controller to make it temperature dependant as it should have been from the start.
Thanks, nice movie. Could you please make a movie about reading out the RS485 connection and adjust the voltage via rs485 commands via f.e. serial panel of VS code or arduino ide?. I have several and would like some help with that.
I am sorry for the confusion, that serial bus is CAN not RS485 like i said in the video, the can bus software commends are not revealed in the manuals i was able to find, so i can not remote control them, i expect voltage adjustment, current monitor, on/off, temperature, input voltage alarm and such will be part of the accessed variables

thanks a lot, yes that could explain it
That's not true. If there's no CAN connection the fan would run at full speed automatically.
